One week later I returned to Stereo 1 and was helped with courtesy and great customer service to finally get what I wanted. They are the best !! Victor is extremely helpful! I have an 06 Chrysler 300 and a knob was knocked off and vacuumed up at a local carwash. I called chysler and was told they can not order just a replacement plastic knob I would have to replace the whole stereo and it would be $2000-$5000 depending on the model I had. I called every stereo place listed in oxnard and I was told at every single one it was a factory part and they couldn't help and recommended I just buy a whole new system for them. But at stereo 1 I talked to Victor and he said not to worry he could help and that's exactly what he did!! This is the worst shop every if you want to pay top dollar for half ass work then this is your place, I have been dissatisfied from day 1!(after spending thousands) Took to have issues resolved and would leave with 2 new problems(each visit), so after going 20-30 times not even exaggerating they could not resolve my issues so I gave up and had my whole setup including wiring re done due to have ass work and cheap cheap products (China) yuuuup sad to say they lost a very good customer, when I got my wiring re done is when I found out about there half ass work they make you spend thousands to only have ass, down down grade u! Not only do they break but also not put everything back together correctly, also customer service has to be the worst of all they claim to be taking care of you but that's all BS! Please people take this review very seriously before you take ur car to this sorry @$$ place, they rip you off they half ass all there work! I even offered to pay extra as long as my work get done right but not even then. If you want to read my story cool, but if not, here's the cliffnotes version of it: Expect decent service if you buy ALL your stereo equipment from them and they install it, although you may have to come back for re-work but they're obligated to make it all work since you bought it from them - they're still making money off your sale. BUT IF YOU'RE JUST LOOKING FOR LABOR TO INSTALL STEREO EQUIPMENT YOU BOUGHT SOMEWHERE ELSE - DON'T COME HERE! You'll end up like me, being asked to come back on a day that's convenient for them, which will be during the week and unless you commute to work on a horse, skates, or the SCAT-a-lac you'll be stuck trying to figure out how the heck you're gonna get to work and then you'll THINK, "DAMMIT I should have listened to that chick on Yelp and not come here in the first place!!!"... and so you'll be like us at that point - calling it a loss, and saying goodbye to the hard earned money you ALREADY PRE-PAID. With that being said, I would never bring any of our other cars here or recommend anyone to this place. But ON THE OTHER HAND, if you're mad at your boyfriend or you wanna get even with your friend that flirted with your man at the club when she was drunk, then by all means, send her to THIS PLACE! Better yet, tell her to bring her own stereo equipment like we did! Okay so here's MY STORY: This is the SECOND time this car is brought here. The first time was 7 days ago. They installed a sub, amp and a LC2i on a stock stereo system (6 hours). They were also supposed to install door speakers and a Bluetooth system - which didn't get done so they made an appointment for us, and told us to bring the car back Saturday at 9am (today). I arrived right when they opened at 9. There was a total of maybe 6 of us customers there. I was there almost 10 minutes before they even acknowledged me. In the mean time, another lady walked in and an employee or possibly the owner (?) welcomed her back (from their convo, it sounded like she was there for re-work - I recognized her, she's an old coworker). I couldn't help to also notice she instantly became a priority over me - since they actually said "HI" to her and attended to her asap (he took her keys and gave them to another employee and told him he "didn't want to have her waiting") and no, she wasn't prettier than me ... She was old and fluffy about 62 yrs old. When that same man finally did get around to asking if I needed any help (since I guess it was obvious that I like taking random sightseeing trips inside stereo shops), I told him I was just dropping off a car that they worked on last Saturday and that the equipment is in the trunk. So the man (owner?) looked at me confused and asked if I had a receipt, which I did, he looked at it and then walked away. 5 minutes pass by and I'm texting my BF telling him what's going on. A couple minutes later he calls and spoke to the employee who gave him the appointment; their convo lasted about 7 minutes... The employee walks away. After another 5 minutes that employee walks over to me and preceded to tell me his installer wasn't there due to a family emergency (death). He added that he's the only installer at the shop he trusts to work on my BFs car since removing the console is a "delicate process." I'm not an unreasonable person but like c'mon.??! Really?? Why couldn't SOMEONE have taken 5 minutes to call my BF the day before or the morning of to tell him "hey we can't work on your car today." No, instead they make me wait 30 MINUTES AFTER I ARRIVE TO TELL ME THEY ARE UNABLE TO WORK ON THE CAR and suggest I bring it back Tuesday. So needless to say, I'm not taking the car back Tuesday. Would be nice if they valued everyone's time equally, not just those that spent the most money at their shop. So irritated! SMH read more

I went in and asked for recommendations on a better sounding stereo than the stock system in my new F250. They sold me Focal speakers and an amplifier that was installed behind the dash which soon stopped working and the speakers also worked intermittently. I was back for repairs no fewer than 5 times for them to finally switch out the amplifier that didn't work. I kept having issues with the back speakers not working so I went back yet again. They're legit super nice and had no problem getting me right in and fixing things but they continued to not work. I went back last time to get the back speakers looked at yet again. I felt like a sucker after they explained that I had the highs and mids covered, but needed a subwoofer and another amplifier to really fix the sound issues that they'd sell me at cost for the issues I'd been having. I reluctantly agreed and ended up having my girlfriend take it back while I was at work just to have them swap out the new amplifier for another one. So far so good, but I'm waiting for something else to fail. I don't want to go back but everything is still under warranty and I'll be out of pocket even more if I went someplace else right now. read more

So I popped in to see the prices on back up cameras and get info on how they work and what's best for vehicles. Anthony was very informative. From all the choices I decided what was best for me. I processed the sale and planned on dropping off my vehicle the next day and realized it wouldn't work because I have no ride back to work. The guys were great and said they would be able to drop me off & pick up if needed. I got my vehicle and everything installed was great. Then when I left realized that my air conditioner wasn't working. I called them up and they were able to fix it. I appreciate it when sales team is straight with me. Stereo 1 was recommended to me by a friend and upon entering the store I was greeted with smiles. I explained to my sales associate, George, what I expected and wanted and he quickly pulled out two options of speakers, Focal & Phoenix Gold Elite. He sat patiently with me and plugged both options in to their listening station so I could hear the differences and make an educated decision. After 30-min of listening to music of my choice I decided to go ahead with the install of the Phoenix Gold Elite and a 5-channel Amp. I was quoted a 5-hour turnaround time, and not wanting to sit around their shop all day, George had one of his younger associates drive me home (great service!). At time of pick up, George walked me through the process with pictures of my vehicle in different stages of the install on his personal phone. George sat with me in the car for over 30-min helping me tune the Amp to suit my listening needs (again great service!). It wasn't until I was completely satisfied did we finally discuss my responsibility of paying for the service completed. All around, a great job guys!! Took my '86 Chrysler 5th Ave in to them for a pair of fiberglass kick panels. They came out perfect! Looks as if it came that way from the factory. Chester, the man who worked on my car, was very professional throughout the whole build and installation. Definitely someone you can trust with your ride. Victor, along with the whole team at Stereo 1, have a good sense of humor yet still maintain their professionalism. Actually very disappointed . I've taken 2 cars there already. I've spent over 1,500 there. But my last car I took in the work was horrible. When they mess up and you take it back to get fixed they are upset and start damaging your car . They wired their equipment around my seatbelt which got stuck. They did fix it but when I took it to another place they showed me this picture. They rush their work. They will do any damage to your car just to get the work done and take your money. Also when I purchased another sub because mine popped they installed it and just left didn't even bother to test it out . That's the main reason I took it to another shop. The worst installment ever. I had my headlights put in and speakers. They did not put the door panels in correctly and my old lights just thrown in my back seat. They taped up wiring with black tape and didn't use proper wire connectors when I called them to complain about it they denied doing the installation I will never go there for anything and I recommend all of you reading this stay away also they offer only the worst quality customer service and they don't care about you or what you are buying they just care about taking your hard earned money and making it theirs. read more

Stereo 1 had the best price for what I was looking for. I checked 3 other places and the average quote I received was double the price, one shop was 3 times more expensive. The level of service and patience I received from Viktor and Brian were outstanding! I had an issue with my bluetooth not connecting after the install and both of these guys personally helped me get the problem fixed. Viktor was quick to respond to the messages I sent him through Yelp and Brian never tried to argue or turn me away when I had an issue with the Bluetooth. Highly do not recommend anyone to come and spend they're money here! These people will act like your best friend and kiss your behind to sell to you ! But once something go's wrong with the item and you go back to talk to them about it they act like a completely different person. I bought something from these guys and the youngest guy that works in the front seemed like a cool dude but the item I bought didn't work ! I went back the next day asking for my money back and the kid acted supper rude and the manager too. The manager kept telling me no matter what I wasn't going to get my money back he said he could fix it but the receipt it specifically says refunds are available but they keep 8% of what you payed. Than the young guy said 'and that if the boss wants to if he wants he can keep more then the 8%', i then asked him if I could speak to the boss and he said he left on vacation when I had just saw the owner the day before saying he was gonna get there the next day earlier than usual, then the manager said he's sorry I wasn't happy with his customer service then started bragging about them being the best shop in ventura county that they just signed another 10 year lease and they weren't going no where. Do yourselves a favor and don't spend your hard earned money with these people. Till this day the item I purchased does not work the way it's supposed to but I rather just leave it as is than to go back to there shop and get treated very poorly. Mo at Stereo 1 is great- knowledgeable and very customer oriented. My son's friend recommended this place and they are open on Sunday, so we decided to try them. My sons bought some used equipment but couldn't get it to work. We called ahead and when we go there, Mo looked at it and said he could install it all in 1-1/2 hours. Stereo One Warehouse is absolutely amazing. I went there to get my Viper Car Alarm installed on my 2006 Honda Ridgeline and was extremely satisfied with the quality of work, customer service, and their low prices. Victor and David are great and they treat you like you are family. Chester is the technician that has done most of my work and he knows his stuff. The rest of the work on my car has been done by the rest of the techs and they are top notch as well. This is the only place that I go to for anything aftermarket. Since my car alarm, I have had them install a Navigation Unit, Full Audio and Video System, and a Viper Smart Start system. Thanks to them if my car alarm goes off my cell phone gets a text message, an email, and a push notification. Plus if my vehicle ever gets stolen or if I lend it to anyone, I can pinpoint exactly where the vehicle is and can even see how fast they are going. Needless to say I absolutely love all of the work that they have done, and I know that every time I go there I get a great deal! I have been a long time customer of Stereo 1, they have helped breathe life into my old Mitsubishi Eclipse. Starting with the Blaupunket speaker upgrade first, they helped me finally have some decent tunes in my lil hatchback. They replaced my broken 2 year old Stereo, which I had installed in another nearby shop in Ventura. My new Stereo is now equipped with Bluetooth, to help with hands free communication on my phone, and a usb port for music storage. They also replaced my old HIDs, which were put on in the most janky manner by the same shop that installed my Stereo in Ventura. The shop in Ventura used what equated to a piece of erector set, they permanently damaged my vehicle by drilling holes into the metal and attaching the HID. The people at Stereo1 will not damage your vehicle. And finally, I was helped most recently with my subwoofer upgrade by Stereo1. I had a limited budget, but they didn't try and switch me. I really appreciated the quick service and I most definitely will be returning to Stereo1. read more
