Within a few minutes Rick had Justin show me where on the car the best spot for placement of the cameras and how he would hide the wires. It came out just as he said it would. Came in on a Friday afternoon. They immediately took me in. The guy in the front was very informative about what he had and helped me pick out a deck that suit my needs. They installed it in about an hour and did really clean work, they even ran an extra set of rca cables and a remote wire for when I want to install a sub so I won't have to take out the deck. That was cool. I got an alpine Ute-73bt. The stereo sounds amazing, a lot better than the deck I had in there from 1996. I really like the fact that I was able to customize the display and button colors on the unit. The price was fair and they did a great job. ****UPDATE**** SITUATION RECTIFIED! I'm so happy to report! Yelp came through the very next day with the refund for the Yelp Deal so that was handled. It took a little communication tag, but the Owner Rick and I synced up. I was a little hesitant to come in because you just never know, but I figured I should give them a chance to fix the issue. Rick is extremely personable which was quite refreshing! He took the time to ask and really listen to what I had originally communicated and what I had received instead. He quickly did some research and I was asked to come in for the fix. I popped right in.... They fixed everything!! The second beep upon activation of the alarm is simply the dome-light delay, so the spiffy alarm is letting me know a lights on! *laughs* They were able to sync up my alarm to my headlights and change the system so when the alarm is disengaged only my driver door is unlocked as originally requested. With the fixes I was in and out under an hour! The shop smelled way more fresh, the chair was replaced with a new looking stool and there was even another guy there cleaning the front sidewalk of someone's spill! What a turn-around!!! Over the last week I saw a billboard in front of Cal Expo advertising a $99 window tint... I almost wish I would've just gotten everything done in one spot! I would give this place another go, but I am only willing to communicate with the brand new Father/Owner Rick. I'm joining Jason in a not so ideal transaction between this business and myself. I utilized them because they were close to where I was getting my windows tinted and they said they could get me in at 2pm. The tint place was phenomenal and so I was done incredibly earlier. I arrived at West Coast at NOON and asked if they could take me early. They said there was one car ahead of me,they were finishing up on and then they would put my alarm in quickly before another patron who dropped his car off. Since I was waiting they said they would do mine first. So that was pretty NEAT! The front office is not set up user/patron friendly at all. They have a broke looking office chair, but at least they had a TV that I was offered the remote to while waiting. It was freezing while I waited. They did allow me to use the restroom and grab my jacket from my car, but it was still cold in the front of the store. If you plan to get work done here - DO NOT WAIT! Or pop next door to the fish and chips place and eat lunch. I bought the YELP DEAL thinking I could utilize it for the alarm system and installation, but it does not cover this. Of course, I wasn't told that until I had already purchased it. So $237 plus $95 Yelp Deal and over 4 hours later I finally get to leave with my alarm installed. I was instructed to contact YELP directly to get get my $95 refund and at this time I haven't heard back from them yet. Turns out the alarm when turned off unlocks all the doors, which I don't particularly care for. Seems a little unsafe and such and I should have the choice for driver door only to be unlocked, but according to the staff member I spoke with I don't. Would've been nice to have a full explanation prior to purchase and install! Also, the alarm beeps twice when alarming and twice when setting even though I was told it would be one to arm and two to disengage. Finally, the alarm system doesn't turn on my headlights as the stock remote did.. which I thought was a great safety feature to have at night to see all the way around the car... so pretty crap product. The installer was nice enough. Apologized a few times for the wait. That was the extent of the niceties at this store. The person running the front office was not the most professional person at all. In fact, 2 patrons weren't happy but were able to talk the guy down. Which apparently the guy wasn't willing to budge for me.. despite everything I went through. I asked to speak to the owner and was told he, Rick, wasn't there. "He's in-and-out and to try back later.." So now I have to waste even more of my time to reach out and track down this owner to discuss what has occurred and see if he might rectify this situation. I even asked if the employee would take my number and pass it along to the owner and in so many words was told no, which I thought was pretty crap service too! In a world such as this, who does that!? Word-of-mouth is the cheapest and best advertising you'll ever have. I see that another patron had a long wait and was offered at least $10 off just for that. I wasn't given any sort of break at all. I wouldn't recommend this place and I didn't even have anything major done, thank goodness. I will update my review if the Owner rectifies the situation. Rick and his team are amazing. I have been in multiple times some just for questions and advice some for quotes. I really appreciate the fact that he doesn't like to quote over the phone and just through numbers at you he wants you to come in so he can see what they are working with to give the best options for you specific wants and needs. They don't try and upsell you on other items they have if you come in with your own stuff wanting an install. I took my ram there to have my old system pulled out and new installed. Rick helped me pick what head unit would work best for my wants to match the amp and subs I already had to replace my old ones and the work they did on the instal is amazing couldn't tell that they had been in and behind the dash and the rest of my trim. Recently went in again to upgrade to a new sub and again awesome help and offered me multiple options within my budget that were well worth it. Couldn't be happier with the help and work I have gotten done there. I went in here for a basic touch screen head unit, and speakers. I gave the salesman my only real requirement (that my wife could talk on the phone using the blue tooth, and Google maps would play through the speakers.) I was sold a radio package for $567.00 that I was told would do what I wanted. Well my wife showed up to pick the car up, she was not happy with the call quality of the blue tooth. She told this to the salesman before we even took possession of the car. He said to just try it for a few days, and if it doesn't work we'll work it out. We got home 10 minutes later and called them and said we weren't happy with the head unit. Too much feedback with the blue tooth. Also Google maps does not play through the speakers. This was left as a message, because they closed early this day unannounced. I called the next day, told the worker the situation, he said we would have to talk to who sold us the radio, and that he wouldn't be in until the next day. Next day I called, stated the situation, he said we can buy a better one. I stated we don't want to be up sold, and would just like our money back. he said he will only give us the coat of the radio, not installation fee. This was not acceptable, i said its all or nothing. Either full refund of the head unit, plus installation, or full refund for everything. He came back with my only two options were up sale, or just the cost of the head unit. This went back and forth for multiple calls. So my wife called the bank and put a stop payment on the money. I called Mike (salesman) and informed him of what I did, I will be bringing his product back to him, as the bank told me to do, and will need a receipt. He said he wouldn't accept it. Turns out Mike wasn't the manager, and was playing shot caller. The manager called my wife, and we gave him two options. 1) The bank takes our money back from his business for a full refund, and we give him his product back. 2) We give him this junk head unit back and get a free upgrade to a better head unit. He chose to give us the better head unit. To top it off, I looked up the garbage we were sold head unit, and speakers on Crutchfield.com. We could have bought the same exact set up for $220 shipped, but I spent $567.00 at stereo city. Price gouge?? The only reason I went to Stereo City, and didn't install the stereo myself was to support local business. They employ people, who in turn support their families. I will never go back to this business, they lie to their customers, and try to up sell them if they don't like their stereo. read more

I have wanted to have a working Entertainment center in my truck since I bought it last October. I was very fortunate to find Stereo City Pros. I put out a request for an estimate for what I wanted on "Yelp", and while I did receive several responses, Rick (Waqar), really stepped up to the plate. He called me when he said he would, listened to what I wanted, and put together a quality system quickly and his Prices were very, very reasonable. After comparing quotes, it was clear Stereo City was the place to go. Called Rick about 30 minutes after they opened, asked if I could bring the vehicle in, and I was on my way to Stereo City. They were friendly, professional, and fully knew what they were doing. I had a front and rear camera installed as well as a Kenwood Entertainment center with new speakers. I could not be happier. My truck was clean, with not a bunch of crap and garbage left laying about after the installation. Honestly, it looked like it had always been there... but the sounds are terrific and I feel like I'm in the 21st Century with everyone else. I keep my "Albums" on SD chips and I can play just what I want with ease by simply plugging in a chip reader. Plug in my Samsung Android phone and my whole vehicle is connected. I have Bluetooth as well. Honestly, I'm an old guy and much of these new electronics are still a mystery for me, but Rick and his guys saved all the manuals and bits and bobs and gave me an operation lesson that had me rocking and rolling on my way back home.
