After reaching out a third time, I received a call back; unfortunately, the person I was speaking with was somewhat rude and dismissive when I gave them the project information; they lectured me on the work required on the electrical installation (all things I was aware of, including the need to cut large holes in the ceiling). I let them know that I was no longer interested in working with them. Very disappointed in my experience with DAVE Digital Audio.

So we headed to Brockport to this RadioShack. It's in the same shopping center as Mahan's (bonus!), across the intersection from Wegman's. The store is small, but neat and well-labeled, making everything easy to find. The staff was quite helpful, with one of the employees talking about his experience with the routers, saying that for our needs, the cheapest would definitely work (as expected). I would have preferred the Linksys, which they were out of, but the Belkin turned out working just fine. We did get the protection plan from the store for $7 since this will be my mother-in-law's router, and I don't want to have to try to troubleshoot it over the phone. #Yelp365 - 363/365

Ken and Mark had worked on other homes in the same Pittsford area, so they understood how wires in the home audio systems were routed, how to locate the optimal location for the modem and routers, and were able to complete the project with an absolutely clean installation without visible wires or poorly installed componentry. I called UR Tech Store and the assistant manager told me there were no returns on software. I went back to my department and they were able to downgrade my software to run effectively (even though I had a new computer that I bought from UR Tech Store), but with tons of bugs. I realized I had no use for this buggy software as it couldn't run the latest version. The Assistant Manager was adamant that no returns or exchanges were possible. I had to shell out about 50 dollars for piece of software I have no use for! Had I been informed of the compatibility issues beforehand, I wouldn't have bought the software.

They carry amps, pre amps, cd players, DACS, turntables, speakers, cables, tone arms etc (everything you can think of hi fi related). The owners name is Bob and he will make sure you're taken care of. Anything from a small system to dock your iPhone to, or a giant system for your great room, Bob will get it for you. I'm pretty sure this is the only true hi fi shop left in the greater Rochester area. I'd recommend calling Bob and making an appointment. That way you can have one on one time with him without having to deal with other people in the shop. If you're a music lover and need a great system for your apartment or home, give The Analog Shop a call.

I will admit that my encounter with the Walmart Supercenter in Rochester, Indiana was relatively…read morebrief. It's located right on Main Street and pretty much adjacent to two of the three motel options in this smaller north-central Indiana community most known for its beautiful Lake Manitou. We initially contacted Walmart after I popped a tire on my wheelchair while riding the Nickel Plate Trail. It took multiple calls to get an answer, either because no one picked up or because when they did the transfer never got answered. Finally, however, we were able to get an answer and were told that, yes, they did actually have the size of inner-tube that I needed for my wheelchair. It was going to be held for us. We arrived not long after our phone call and my road support person went inside to pick it up. Sadly, we'd been given poor information and they actually didn't have what we needed. It's frustrating to go out of your way to a store having been told something was in and it simply wasn't. We'd given them the exact size we needed - so making a mistake is really not okay and it set me back. Fortunately, we were able to finally get the issue addressed in the next community we visited. Despite the error, I will note that employees were friendly and tried to be helpful. They did make a bike shop recommendation and did give the correct info regarding their hours. So, kudos for that. This store was also cleaner than many Walmarts I've visited and generally had the smaller town vibe that likely makes it a destination spot for Rochester residents. This certainly wasn't a great experience - and giving accurate information about supplies is a basic of customer service - however, beyond that this was a solid mid-range experience and I'd certainly return when in town for basic needs. I'm sure it's a great option to have it so close to a couple hotels.

I had a service B performed on my Mercedes and asked that he also check my entire car to see if there was anything else that needed to be repaired. He later called me, found that my rear breaks were worn and provided me with a quote of the cost and I asked if he could replace them. On the day I picked up my car, Jerry was very friendly and took time to explain everything to me and even helped me replace my car license plates and put on my registration sticker. I warn VERY strongly against hiring Druk…read more Druk was very pleasant when I reached out and quick to ensure that he could repair my phone screen. I paid him over $200 to repair it on site. That night, I noticed that the phone screen would turn dark while using it. By the next day, the screen was completely inoperable. As I pressed the side buttons trying to turn it off (because the screen was now totally blank) my phone called 911 and ALL of my emergency contacts. Because the screen didn't work, I could not stop the calls and had to talk to all of these people to explain- pleading with them not to send the police or paramedics. I made an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar ASAP and paid $360 for Apple to remove the counterfeit screen from Druk and replace it with a working one. I was informed that the counterfeit screen fom Druk was not even sealed onto the phone correctly. Even worse, when I called Druk, he refused to refund me. BUYER BEWARE: if you choose to spend $200 with Druk, you will have to spend at least $360 or more to repair his "work" with a dealer who actually knows what they're doing.
