recently took one of my cars to Stereo Works to have them assess a problem with audio system, they spent quite a lot of time trying to fix everything , they made progress but it apparently the problem was a factory item . Recently my Daughter had an Apple play stereo and wanted a backup camera installed in her suv they did an amazing job.. at 1st she was a little taken back by the change. They had her bring the vehicle back and went over everything with her..they were very understanding. I have to say it was pleasant to speak with the gentleman about her concerns. Took a gamble on Stereo Works being new to the area and over the "Alpine" stereo in my new Grand Cherokee that sounded like junk. Worked w Al who actually tried to down sell me on equipment I was willing to buy - super honest good clean work. I know exactly what's involved in installing a stereo in my daughter's vehicle, having installed the 1st one years ago when it was my son's. StereoWorks charged a reasonable price and did very professional and timely install. I purchased a remote car starter from StereoWorks five years ago. My remote fob stopped working after five years so I purchased a new one online. I brought it to StereoWorks to have the new key fob programmed to my existing starter. They did it at no cost to me. ********BEWARE********** Do not bring your vehicle here! The employees here are hacks. I brought my 2013 Altima here twice. First experience install radio. Should be straight forward. (JVC double din). They did install and immediately the back up camera stops functioning when the steering wheel is turned right. I called and informed the shop right way, employee states "You have a defective wiring harness" without even inspecting the job. After 2 weeks on pestering them about this they finally gave me an appointment to check it out. Yet again no fix "Everything seems fine". I told the gentleman I'm planning on doing a full system in this car. He states when you bring it get this done we assure you that we will fix this. I give them the benefit of doubt. Round 2 I scheduled my appointment 3 weeks in advance because "they are extremely busy". Dropped off my car the night before so it's there when they first open. I'm aware this is a big job I left work at 6pm that day, when I got to the shop they still hadn't finished the job. Because I got a ride there and I assured the job would be done today I waited for it to be completed. At 8:30pm they claim the job is done. As soon as I start the vehicle there is no sound. I ask why there no sound and they state "we do not have the equipment to tune an audiocontrol amp". (Audiocontrol is well known in the car community). Moments later I look in the rear view and I see smoke coming thru my trunk. I shut the car off and the first guy states it wasn't from the wiring job I did, the second guy states oh the smoke must have been coming from the speakers. I point out now the amp will not turn on. To make things even better to back up camera was never fixed. They sent the amp to be repaired (this took over a month). Overall this experience was a nightmare from start to finish. I will never bring a car here or allow any of my friends to either. Not one thing these guy did came out correct. $700 wasted now I have to bring my car somewhere else to fix everything they did. When the shop saw the job Stereo works did they could not believe that" Professionals" did it. read more

I had problems pairing my iPhone 11 Bluetooth to my JVC car stereo which never happened before ! After calling Apple about the problem they couldn't find a remedy after spending one hour with 2 separate techs. They said I needed to find the manual and maybe the solution may be in there. I drove into Stereo Works and they had it fixed in less than a minute for free !!! They were really nice about it and never asked if I bought the JVC from them. I offered to give them a few bucks and they wouldn't take it ! So I'm writing this fine review! read more

Had a receiver/cd player installed in my car by Stereo Works. Al was very nice, friendly and easy to do business with. The cost was as quoted. The installation went quickly. Al's tutorial was handy. Sure it's much less expensive to buy the unit and install it yourself but these guys did a great job for me. I'm a very happy customer. read more

I have been to Stereo Works twice because my AUX on my 9 year old Toyota was broken. I am 72 years old and know nothing about cars. They could have told me anything and charged anything. The first time I needed to order a part. They found it inAmazon for me and told me exactly what to order. They fixed it temporarily by soldering it at no charge. When I brought it back they installed the part in 2 minutes. They are kind and honest and competent. When I decide to put in a new stereo system i will go right to them! read more

I've only patronized this business once, July 2018, for car stereo work. They were prompt, fair, honest, efficient- - really everything you'd ask for when seeking a service business. I absolutely would return if I was in the market for any of there services. Located on RT 1 in a rear lot they are not very visible but well worth finding. Stereo works installed a remote car starter for me and it's been great! I brought it back a year later because of other issues with my car - the guys here replaced all the wiring and components (I don't know the technical terms) to the remote starter free of charge. They are awesome!! read more
