It was a complex installation but Kev went beyond what was required soldering and researching to ensure the dash kit fit seamlessly with my car's interior and that my radio and steering wheel controls functioned properly with idatalink maestro rr adapter. Experience has been superb. Kevin spent the time to go thru the options. Originally I was thinking about upgrading to a Pioneer 7800 radio but Kevin suggested going with a Pioneer 1400NEX digital media receiver. This is a spectacular find. I was lying awake at night trying to plan how to trace my dead right speaker and install two new ones in a classic 1964 Cadillac. Surprised to find Kevin on Yelp, who scheduled an appointment right in my driveway that same afternoon. How great! Not only that, but he found the problem in 5 minutes, and required NO dismantling the car, just new connectors at the speaker end, then installed my new speakers in minutes very neatly, though it required drilling holes, which I was reluctant to do. Kevin installed a remote car starter on my '03 Nissan Murano. Being an older model Murano, there was an issue with my "auto" function powering on the A/C after start up. I purchased around $700 worth of audio components and was deathly afraid of having the wrong place put it in. Everywhere locally in the Fairfield County area seems hit or miss which was the frightening part. Spanking Clean Auto seemed to have nothing but good reviews which was weird (honestly who doesn't think that one guy is just posting a lot of good reviews about his own company) so I decided to give it a shot. First, the bad. The only bad thing about the entire experience was that there isn't really a sign in front of where he was doing the work (was working out of a manufacturing facility) so I was sort of lost for 20 minutes even though I was standing right next to it. That's literally the only negative. Kevin came out to take a look at what I needed hooked up. Talked about it for 5 or so minutes, gave him plenty of time (seemed really busy, which happens, so I just told him to take as long as he needed. Try to be helpful and give this courtesy if you can afford to), handed over the keys and went on my way. What I needed done wasn't exactly some major modification, but I needed the center console on a Subaru Legacy swapped out for a double din unit, a dvd receiver put in, amplifier and subwoofer installed. I wanted to wait a couple weeks to make sure nothing weird started happening but I can officially say now that if you have any audio job and you're scared about people/companies being sketchy, come here. The work was done awesome. VERY clean install, did exactly what I asked for in every way, and met my expectations for a no-nonsense service transaction. I would 100% go back to him if I needed anything else done (does a bunch of other stuff too). He definitely seemed knowledgeable enough to help you pick stuff out if you needed assistance, but if you do your homework and scour the Internet for what you need and come prepared with the materials (or consult with him and have him order for you) everything will go flawlessly. Short statement: I was scared of sketchy audio places but Spanking Clean Auto met my expectations without a question in my mind for a very reasonable and competitive price.
