I have a 2007 Ford Freestar that had stopped shifting properly so I brought it to RPM…read moretransmissions.mike,the owner was friendly and told me that the car needed a transmission rebuild and that it would cost $2200 dollars.Four days later I received the car back and all was fine.The car worked well for about a month and then suddenly stopped moving.I had the car towed(at mt exspense back to RPM transmission.It sat there for two weeks and I was told that it was an engine computer and not the transmission.Four hundred dollars and a new computer later the car was no better.Another two weeks and I get a call saying that they couldn't find the issue with the transmission.Now even though I have a full warranty they install a used transmission and want to charge an additional nine hundred dollars.Then they bargained it down to two hundred so that they could pay their mechanic that came in on the weekend to do the work.Then Mike(the owner)proceeded to scream and yell at me for almost ten minutes.When I finally got in the van to drive it away there was a heavy smell of marijuania.They must have smoked in the van while they were test driving it.I am(was) a repeat customer and will never reccommend any one to RPM.

My first delt with a repair in relation to a loud noise from what I was explained was a bearing issue in the rear. Along with a new alignment and other services, the repairs were made at a very high cost. There was no noice and the car was in good shape. In a few months, the same exact noise returned. I returned it to Saf T Auto only to discover that the caliper was "frozen" and I needed more repairs that would cost $1,300 +. It was explained that the bearing was not the issue this time around. It was the caliper. I decided that alone should be fixed because I simply could not afford to pay the larger cost. I was assured the caliper replacement would fix the issue with the noise. After the repairs, I picked up my vehicle and drove off and immediately my alert AWD light came on. I returned back to the Saf T Auto where they fixed the alert light. After traveling less than two minutes, the same exact noise that was the issue to begin with returned. I contacted Neil. He said that the bearings will have to be changed after all. I refused to pay for additional services because the part was under warranty by Saf T Auto. Neil concede that it was and explained that it will be fixed at all cost in three more days. What troubled me the most was that the underlined issue of the noise conming from the rear was never repaired after I was assured that the caliper was the issue. And to insinuate that the bearings needed to be changed at an additional cost intially then to confirm that they were under warranty after I refused to pay the cost is severely suspect. No apologies we're given. No "we will repair as soon as possible." I was told it was safe to drive around with damaged bearings. Somehow, I believe that is not an accurate statement. I'd give no stars if I could to reflect this second visit.

I took my car to a different mechanic because I was seeing fluid in the snow wear it was parked. A…read morechain known for tire. They had worked on my car before, and I hadn't had any issues. They replaced the Rack and Pin. Assbly. along with two power steering hose. They also made a recommendation that a gasket and oil pan needed to be replaced. I drove it 8 miles and when I pulled into the Driveway smoke was coming out of the hood. About a 1.5 years ago I had a problem with the drivers seat not latching and staying upright. Tech Auto was recommended and Todd had it looked at and fixed it and didn't charge me anything. So when I had this problem with the smoke I had the car towed in. Todd told me the two power steering hoses were installed incorrectly and fixed that along with replacing all the power steering fluid. He also replaced an oil pressure switch which was wear the oil was coming from not a gasket or the oil pan. The radiator cap was missing and they found it down in the engine and replaced the coolant which was wear the smoke was coming from. I will never take my car anywhere else but to Tech Auto. Todd was HONEST, EFFICENT, AND HIS PRICES were very fair. I was in by 8:10 am. He got my van diagnosed, parts delivered and I was back on the road after lunchtime. I am so grateful to him to help me get back on the road. I am a dog/house sitter and I was expected in Annapolis that night. The homeowner had already left the country for a trip. Chris and his team were not only professional but generous in their efforts to help me. I was told where I could get lunch and I was able to sit in his waiting area for hours, have bathroom access and even had a fireplace turned on because I was cold.
