Checked this place out on a whim. Doesn't look like much from the outside but we we're really impressed by the food! The Duster was by far the best fried chicken sandwich I've had in my life. It had the perfect amount of spicy seasoning. The Mac and cheese also delicious! The menu is small but who needs a big menu when the food you do have is on point. The dining room was blocked off but I would definitely recommend if you are looking for take out! read more

Headed in to Monaca to run some errands and passed Steve and Benny's on my way in. Made a mental note to stop by on my way back out of town. After wrapping up my errands I hopped on Yelp to check hours and quickly realized that it until it was 10 minutes to closing. I thought closing at 7pm on a Friday sounded a little early so I decided to call just to confirm. When I called I was told the hours were correct but that they would stay open if I was close by so that they could fill my order if I was interested. I thought that was great customer service, especially since I wasn't asking for them to do that. I placed an order for the Meal Deal which came with sandwich, fries and a Rice Krispie treat for dessert and walked in about 4 minutes later for pickup. Food was still being prepared when I walked in but the person working the front was friendly and the wait wasn't long at all (who am I to complain when they're working overtime for me?!?) As I walked out with my food they mentioned that they threw in one more Rice Krispie treat and a side of Mac and cheese too and thanked me for supporting local business. (Shouldn't I be the one thanking you?!?) Food was excellent! The two fried chicken breasts on the sandwich were crispy but moist, the fries were freshly cooked and not overly salty, and the Mac and cheese had a nice flavor (maybe a titch of garlic powder?). The Rice Krispie treats were interesting in that they came with Cap'n Crunch and Cinnamon Toast Crunch mixed in, but I really didn't mind it! Cinnamon Toast Crunch was a little better in my opinion though. Honestly the whole experience and their willingness to accommodate a last minute order makes me want to go back and tell all my friends about it! Hope to be back soon read more

My husband's very detailed review sort of explains it all :) Really enjoyed the meal deal (two chicken breasts on the sandwich?!), the customer service, and the food in general. We are always on the hunt for the next best chicken sandwich and Steve and Benny's didn't disappoint. Ever take a trip South and enjoy a meal you find yourself reminiscing, wishing you could have it again? Come to Steve and Benny's and try their Shrimp Po Boy! The flavor not only from the sandwich, but embedded into the shrimp was amazing! After speaking with the owners, it all makes since since they spent time in Louisiana. My husband commented that The Duster was quite good as well and even better with the side of Mike's Hot Honey; that the flavoring by far exceeds that of other places around. Visited tonight for a quick takeout dinner. Shrimp and grits was delicious. The chicken sandwich was fantastic, the Nashville hot sauce was smoking hot. Next time I'll ask for extra pickles on the sandwich. The chicken bugs were fantastic. The Mac and cheese was good, add a tiny bit of the Nashville hot sauce to take it to the next level. The chicken po'boy was fantastic. I love the buns that Ben has always used. If you were a fan of Pittsburgh po'boy, then you need to get to Monaca so you can have all your favorites from the truck. read more

My very first first visit to this food truck. The service is super fast as everything is already prepared. It's basically chicken sandwiches, sides and dessert. You just need to pick your sauces and sides. We tried all three sides, jambalaya, Mac and cheese and coke slaw. All were as good as sides can be. The real star Is the chicken sandwich it's bomb! Think chik-fil-a but twice and big and better tasting. My favorite sauce was the Carolina Gold. It was like a sweet homey BBQ. For dessert we had cap't crunch and Cinnamon Toast Crunch rice crispy treats. They were fresh, chewy and really good. Over all this is a good food truck. Good food, fair prices and fast service. Been in there twice and won't be back. The shrimp poboy was grilled. Who grills shrimp on a poboy? It makes the shrimp tough and the blackening seasoning is so overpowering that your veins will cease to flow from all the sodium. Today I figured I'd try the chicken sandwich because it should be hard to mess that up. Well, I was wrong. The chicken was tough and dry. I could've dipped my shoe in a mud puddle and had a juicier bite for lunch. On top of that, they didn't even have anything to drink. A restaurant with no drinks?! Wtf??The guys in there are very nice but that just doesn't cut it for me. There is a reason that it's cold and empty in this place and that's because these guys just don't get it. read more

Had the most delicious lunch today! Tried the Fried Chicken Sandwich and I truly think it's the best I've ever had! The chicken was fried to perfection, juicy and the portion size was large! Wow! Is all my girlfriend and I have to say after tasting this chicken sandwich. We have lived in a bunch of different areas from the far south to DC and by far this is the best fried chicken sandwich we have ever had! It doesn't even need the sauce but thats just an added bonus. We moved to Monaca to get out of the fast paced DC metro area. We are so happy to have found this small town delight! If you're looking for a bite to eat for lunch or dinner check this place out.
