I've always bought shoes from Steve Madden , little pricey but worth it & comfortable with style

Visited this location on 7/30 after attempting to return my online purchase twice- at two previous locations that claimed to be open during regular business hours but were actually closed upon my arrival. This being the third location I'm having to drive to, just to return one item- I was hoping to return my item without any problems but nope, not the case. As soon as I went up to the counter, the associates (Alice and Melissa) asked me defensively if I had all my receipts. I provided them the receipts and was told that my "30 day return policy" window had ended and I was only eligible for an exchange. I showed her an email from customer service that stated "my 30 day window" begins on the day that my item arrived to my house. So I had until 8/2 to return my item. After I showed the manager the email, (with attitude) she told me that I should have called the store in advance to tell them I wanted to make a return and then proceeded to refund my money to my card. I don't understand why I would need to call the store in advance to make a return upon arrival? Why would the store need a few hours to prepare to make one return? Corporate needs to take appropriate measures to ensure that managers are aware of return policies and how to provide friendly customer service. Will not be shopping at this location or brand again. Extremely disappointed with this experience. read more

She was patient and even helped me get them shipped to my address when I couldn't make it over that way before closing time! I had the BEST experience here today! I shop... a lot ... and usually have pretty bland experiences and sometimes terrible ones but it's rare that you come across a great experience all around! A friend of mine and I came in to browse and left with the cutest purchases thanks to Chris Cardenas! He was outstanding ! Such a honest, funny and inviting experience! We were laughing the entire time while trying on shoes and chatting away. He is an absolutely incredible soul and we will definitely be coming back and bringing family and friends because I truly don't think you can beat experiences like this and this is coming from someone who used to work at a high end retail store ! I love their shoes but the people working there ONLY respect the customers who buy their shoes! I was there trying 3 pairs then finally decided to buy one, the girls there appeared to be super sweet. But they do not have a debit card reader so they ran it as credit, for some security reason, it didn't went through. Then I called my bank, answered a ton of questions and the bank told me it needed 30 min to recover. Ok, I told the girls there that I would like to come the other day because I didn't want to wait for half an hour (I had a long day work, and I'm tired) Then the one I was talking to threw a shitty face at me, and didn't even talk back to me. So I'm not able to give you money right away you think you wasted time on me?! I decided never go to this store again. And I bought the same pair today from the other store. Because technically it was their job to have a debit card reader. Then I would definitely come back if they treated customers the same from the beginning to the end. read more

Very rude and horrible customer service. Tried to order a shoe and they asked my husband if I was always this way when I said I was disappointed that they could not order the shoe so let's leave. She also snatched the shoes out of my hand and laughed about it. It was unprofessional and I will NEVER return to this store again. read more

I love Steve Madden in general but the girls at this particular store are super sweet. I think it was the manager that helped me, I wish I caught her name, she was great. She checked sizes for me multiple times and even let me know about the 20% student discount! Nice place read more

I was helped by a lovely lady named Felipa today. She was absolutely amazing! Her energy was great, she greeted everyone that walked in with a smile and a believable hello/ welcome. She is the type of customer service stores need to be successful. I am pretty sure everyone visiting 9/16 is going to be pleased with the level of service they receive from her. I went to this steve Madden in the Northridge mall last week and the people who work there were great they were very helpful. They were having an amazing sale with every thing half off! I got two pairs of really cute heals for $21 total! And even as busy as they were the sales man was very helpful . With getting me my shoe sizes and offering me other cute styles for the same price.
