"See you in half an hour" Linda said as I exited. What a lovely, sweet lady she is! Her personality is exemplified in the clean lobby and colorful selection of donuts big and small, long and glazed, and coated in Fruit Loops, Golden Grahms or bacon. My goodness, Riverside finally got a donut shop comparable to OC or LA. Linda was all kinds of nice and when I asked "what are those", she told me ham and cheese croissants with an option for jalapenos. "I'll take one to go for dinner later" I said. I saw this on Yelp's hot and new business page and bookmarked it immediately. Less immediate was my response time going there because it is in a different part of the city. However, taking the back roads can be fun when I'm not in a hurry and today fit the description. Located just off the Arlington and Van Buren intersection I was delighted to see the shop has good looking neighbors! Star Burgers, a teriyaki bowl place and a Thai restaurant to name but a few. It's nice to see the industrial part of town has great food choices. Upon entering a young man greeted me and answered my questions. In reality I wanted to clear the shelfs, but the other reality (I believe this could cause Type 2 Diabetes) limited me to two donuts, so it'll take a while to sample what I photographed. The fresh, thick and moist donuts, matcha and one slathered in Fruit Loops hit the spot with coffee. My sugar fix indeed! The taste and quality are outstanding and I watched two other newbies walk in and excitedly make their selection. Donuts are absolutely delicious! Freshly made so soft and just the right amount of sweet. The churro loco cronut is flaky, crunchy on the outside and soft on the outside. Also got a blended vanilla coffee and was pretty good too, more sweet than coffee taste so just depends on how you like coffee. Their regular coffee is pretty great! The customer service is amazing! Like seriously they melt in tour mouth. So soft that the sugar falls off everywhere while you take each bite. My colleagues went back for seconds even. I tried the glazed twist donut and was pleasantly surprised. Usually donuts especially glazed twists are just okay/standard- typically taste good but nothing above the ordinary. Not this donut!
