Sarah Koch has a very good office and I give it 5 stars. But this is about the Allstate claims…read moredepartment which is pathetic! I've been with ALLSTATE for more than three decades! At MedStar Georgetown University Hospital I was parking my car and hit a cement wall doing one mile an hour. I drove the car home driving about 50 miles. I brought the car to Tri State Collision Center and an Adjuster from Allstate came out and determined the damage at around $4,100 dollars. A few days later I was informed by Tri-State that the damage was $21,000, an enormous discrepancy of $17,000 dollars! As Allstate wasted 7 or 8 days getting their final approval, I'm paying for a rental that lasted 21 days, although Enterprise didn't charge me for the 21st day. So if the original adjuster didn't make a $17,000 dollar mistake, I could have saved 6 or 7 or even 8 days on my 20 day rental. I asked for a $200 dollar rebate on my car rental, but Jessica Petrucci, from claims, denied my request, even though I've been with Allstate for over three decades and the fact that the first adjuster made an enormous error that cost me extra days paying for a rental. I also asked to speak with her and she never called me like I was told that she would. So for $200 dollars, I'm leaving Allstate by January 26th. 2026 and Allstate will lose the approximately $3,300 dollars I pay yearly for all my insurance. This was a terrible business decision on her part! (I also want this comment to be shared with Thomas Wilson, the CEO since 2007.) John Backiel Sent from the all new AOL app for iOS

Denied the consumer right to speak with a senior staff or supervisor. Wow!! Amica Mutual call…read morecenter representatives are complete trash. After spending 15 minutes of discussion gaining zero traction with obtaining a quote or insurance, I'd request to speak with a supervisor. Scott was condescending with responses while denying my request to speak with his supervisor. As a consumer, callers have the right to escalate any call to gain more knowledge about products & services. The call with representative, Scott, was disconnected due to rude behavior & not fulfilling the request. I called back to speak with another representative, Michael. When expressing concerns with the way I was treated by Scott, Michael in turn began suggesting he could help without locating a supervisor. At this point, I'd rather speak with a supervisor but was denied again by Michael. When explaining the reason behind my supervisor's request, he became rather sensitive & disconnected the call. I was attempting to become a new customer with Amica Mutual. However, due to the customer service received twice by call center representatives, I am no longer interested in engaging with this company. The guys are sensitive, rude & will disconnect your calls. Finally, I called to speak with a young lady who left a message for a supervisor to return my call. Now waiting but will not hold my breath. The search continues for a reputable insurance company with significantly awesome phone customer service & etiquette.

After being screwed by GEICO, I decided to do some research for another home and auto insurance…read morecompany. At that time, Amica was listed as having one of the best customer service at a competitive rate. So I went with them and things were good in the beginning. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. When I bought another property and needed some documentation from them, they would not respond and cooperate with my lender. It was only when I left a bad review on Google and threatened to switch company that someone contacted me to resolve the issue. Then, recently, they increased my premium without informing me. I've had no claims and no changes to my property and cars. I emailed them to ask but no one bothered to respond. Enough is enough. I switched.

It was with a subsidiary of State Farm, GainsCo auto insurance. Never heard of the company. However, fast forward, when hitting a snag via the online payment portal, it didn't recognize the policy # being inputted in the system. GainsCo customer service may as well be non-existence. All modifications must be completed by the initial insurance representative who began the policy. Due to GainsCo archaic system & poor instructions by customer service, the payment ended-up being late. Maryland insurance compliance do not play. They'll charge approximately $200 for insurance non-compliancy in the state. I was advised by GainsCo agent, prior to making payment, the deadline will be 11/11/25. Insurance canceled on 11/10/25. Jim, the State Farm (GainsCo) agent didn't mitigate circumstances, to waive late fee or reinstatement process. They simply penalized me for not being aware of how to use the archaic online system. If online account numbers isn't entered correctly, it will not populate account payment information. Who knew? This was the first & will be the last payment to experience such awful customer services. When advising Jim of the dissatisfaction received by GainsCo, Jim simply agree with shopping market for another policy, elsewhere. Hence reasons for not completing a google review when starting the policy. Whatever happen to good (not even great) customer & product services. The real satisfaction arrives in the duration of contract (policy). It's difficult to refer anyone to companies who provides convoluted policyholder interactions. Prior to payment, it was requested to sign a "loss of property" form, indicating no damages was done to vehicle due to cancellation. I've paid the late fee, reinstated the policy & presently searching for a more reputable insurance agent & firm. This is not It!!

They charged me anyways the full amount for my insurance for the following month even though I had canceled and they had sent me a confirmation email. I called and inquired about it and they passed along my information to someone else. They said their office does not handle the reimbursements a refund blah blah blah here we are in June and I still have not seen the money that they charge me for a month that I did not have coverage with them. I have not received any reimbursements in the mail and the woman that they connected me with has never returned my emails or any sort of Information about where my money is. They will be very nice to your face and very nice on a phone call but State Farm are sharks and you need to be very careful. I highly recommend Erie Insurance which charges me a fourth of what I was being charged at State Farm . Make sure you shop around because most people that work at State Farm don't even have insurance through State Farm because they know they charge an arm and a leg and they would never pay those prices themselves. UPDATE: After receiving this review they got back to me. My phone calls and emails didn't do anything in regards to this matter. The language in their correspondence was disturbing, calling it an 'overpayment' not what it really was that they charged my account after I had already cancelled my account with them- they knew for a week that I was discontinuing my coverage with them. A check was sent to me- took weeks to get to me. And they shorted me. Citing 'it looks like your insurance rate was not properly quoted so this is the correct amount owed.' So you made a mistake and I pay for it? Please be careful if you choose to go with this company.
