Seriously, Yelp needs to up its game in Québec, because places like this one aren't getting the attention they deserve. The pulled pork sandwich had a generous amount of meat. The 12-hour smoking process did indeed liberate a good amount of smoky aroma and make the pork somewhat tender. It's lighter on the sauce and heavier on the smoke than any other pulled pork I tried which gave a more authentic impression. Amazing coleslaw - wished I had more. Fries are the soft kind, very lightly salted. The "spicy" mayo (some kind of very salty habanero with hot sauce) was not that good. Being a smokehouse it's obviously not cheap. The pulled pork sandwich with fries was a good value at $20 + tip. A pint of Fin du Monde $10 + tip. Steaks are in the $30+ range but seeing the impressive meat ageing cabinet by the entrance, I might go back to try one. If you're passing by Chambly and are in the mood for smoky meat, this is the place to be. For parking, there's a lot on rue Ostiguy across from Bedondaine & Bedons Ronds (also a place to check out).

Tables are jammed so close together you end up shoulder-to-shoulder with strangers, dodging servers and elbows the whole time. It's noisy, cramped, and stressful -- the opposite of a relaxing meal. Layout makes no sense: tiny two-tops shoved beside high-traffic zones, larger parties squeezed into corners with zero space to move, and some tables practically touching the entrance or washroom hallway. You feel rushed before you even sit down. Chairs are hard and wobbly, there's no room for bags or coats, and you're constantly getting bumped because there's barely an aisle. If you value personal space, forget it. Service suffers because of the overcrowding. Staff are hustling but clearly stretched thin, so basics lag -- water refills, cutlery, checking in after food arrives. Food comes out at odd intervals and cools fast in the drafty spots. The noise level is cafeteria-grade; you end up shouting across the table. Accessibility is an afterthought: tight turns, blocked paths, and nowhere to park a stroller or mobility aid without being in someone's way. This isn't just my night, either. A lot of other reviews for the Saint-Bruno location say the same things: overbooked, packed in, chaotic atmosphere, long waits even with a reservation, and staff forced to manage a floor plan that puts turnover ahead of comfort. The pattern is pretty clear -- maximize seats, minimize experience. If management wants repeat customers, they need to pull tables, widen aisles, fix traffic pinch points near the door and washrooms, add soft surfaces to tame the reverb, and stop overbooking peak hours. Until then, there are plenty of places nearby that won't make you pay to feel like you're eating in a hallway.

For my meal I had the Prime Rib which I added a photo of. The dish is usually served medium rare the waitress told me which was perfect for me. Prime Rib should only be prepared medium rare in my opinion. They have a full bar so should be able to make any drink you want. The beer list isn't bad just not a lot of choices but that the only negative thing for me. Definitely a 5 star for me.

But not wanting to sit up or downstairs all stems from bad luck hubs and I have had and treated like the forgotten kids at other restaurants. Negative. As in the name, Mignon S. is a steakhouse lovers dream in a petite version. Yet, it still offers a filet mignon- because why not?, a burger, your beef tartare, a couple more steak dishes, a mac, a fish dish, etc- along with the veggie sides. Decent. The space is intimate and modern and the ambiance is happy. What's not to like? My Lychee Martini had great Lychee juice but the alcohol substance was nil. Hubs said the same about his Negroni. Our 5-shrimp cocktail was the silver lining. They were juicy, fresh-tasting and topped with a light hand of cilantro micro greens. Service was wishy-washy and knew we wanted out after finishing our appetizer.

The bf ordered the steak frites and a crème brûlée. This was the best place to eat for us in all of Montreal. We did not have a reservation, but were lucky enough to get a seat at the bar. Matthew, bartender and server was the best! We even went back the same night for more drinks. The ambiance was hip without trying hard. There's also another place to eat downstairs with the same menu and a different vibe. We are at a lot of places, but this was the best.

This was a popular spot as we noticed we weren't the only ones from our company there. This meal really put us in a positive shock at how much we enjoyed the food and the ambiance of it all. They take go big or go home as a motto. First off, we enjoyed the bread, the pâté with crostini, and the Parmesan twists as early bites before we got into appetizers. I ordered the tuna tartare and it was absolutely what I needed. Fresh, unique crunches from the wasabi peas and corn flakes, an even added crunch from the shrimp chips - I loved every bite. For entree I had the scallops and risotto dish. It was very easy to clear and empty the dish because the flavors were just right. I had been looking for a risotto all week and this hit the spot. Presentation is also beautiful on every dish. Whether it's the aesthetic or the showmanship, it was done with much to talk about at the table. My colleague ordered the lobster and we are still laughing about the charcoal smoke that came from the dish. Another colleague ordered the $60 set and it was all delicious according to him. He's from France and even said it compared well to the dishes in France. We ordered every dessert because we were having so much fun during our meal. Of the desserts, the best was the French toast which was a surprise to all. The soft texture and paired with ice cream made it all memorable. I had the Montreal "snow" and the cotton candy Island as well and really liked how it was something different, especially the notes of berry on the bottom. The crepes were a show and a savory sweet bite. Loved the notes of orange. Topped with thank you chocolates at the end and it was really a memorable meal. Beaver Hall created a space perfect for us to build relationships with our clients and have a great night. Details were the star and done exceptionally. Well done.

I usually like restaurants a little more unique, as this one is your typical Keg style place, but I do have to say it is good food and service. I ordered the fried calamari appetizer as a somewhat lighter lunch. My wife had this huge burger I would have named the Western, though I don't know what the menu called it. The calamari were tender and cooked through perfectly. A light and flaky breading coated it nicely as it lay on a bed of lettuce. The green onions and lemon juice sprinkled on top provided a delightful cruch and bite. A chipotle mayonnaise accompanied the dish, but was not spicy enough at all. The waiter was able to bring more powdered chipotle, making it just right. The burger was cooked well-done as a rule in this area, so I can't really comment on the quality of the preparation or on the taste. The bacon and BBQ sauce were tasty, and the bun was perfectly toasted. Thin and crispy, the accompanying fries went great with the kicked up chipotle mayo from my meal! The waitstaff was very nice and very capable! Overall, a nice place to eat especially if can enjoy your visit on the terrace.
