Prior to finding Steve for the job, our previous pool guy was just careless and did a sloppy job. They were filmed on our cameras and caught them breaking the pool vacuum while they were scraping the pool walls. They denied this and refused to replace the vacuum, which brings to the attention of they were purposely breaking things in the pump area to overcharge on purpose. The water was really not clean at all with calcium build up on the walls. Honest truth is, you wouldn't need a pool vacuum with a pool guy coming every week. But the water conditions were getting worse and worse with the old guys. We had to switch! Just dishonestly is enough to make you switch... To no avail, we canceled them right away and found Steve. He came and tested the water and found out there was zero percentage of chlorine and the chemicals they added were imbalanced. BUT Now our waters are crystal clear and it makes you want to swim more. Keep up the good work and I highly recommend. Good at what he does and the clear blue water shows! P.S: he also let us barrow his pool vacuum for now! Great guy! read more

This is the nicest pool man ever! My mother and I were having trouble with our pool cleaner/vacuum and our current pool guy was MIA. We had tried to install it ourself with little success. After calling our current pool guy several times and not hearing back for several days we decided to call Steve. Mr. Vaughan responded quickly and was able to come the same day (it didn't work with my schedule so he came out the next morning). He took a look at the cleaner hoping for an easy installation, but it gave him the same trouble it gave my mom and I (not fitting correctly/ slipping off the main connector). But he was determined to get it installed! After 20 minutes of working in the hot sun (95*) and making trips to his car to find adapters he finally got it to work. I was looking all over yelp and the web to find someone to clean our built in spa. I kept going back to Steve as the reviews were great and I enjoyed seeing from the pictures that he is a family man... important as I have 2 young boys at home, so I wanted to feel like I was dealing with someone I trust to be around my kids. He met with my husband for a consultation and said he would feel bad to charge too much as it's just a spa and we could probably maintain it on our own with the right tools, which he offered to help us purchase at a lower cost than a retail store. We had no idea how the spa even worked and he took the time to show my husband how to use it properly. He came yesterday to clean the spa and he did a great job. It's sparkling clean now, even after sitting for months and with the wind we had last week. While he was cleaning it, he managed to entertain my son by answering his incessant questions and even showed my husband exactly what he was doing, so later, we could maintain it ourselves if we choose to. He even left some of his own chemicals with us to get us started at no charge. I felt like I was really dealing with an honest person when I was talking with him. There were a number of companies I contacted who told me they'd have to maintain the spa at least 2 times a month, without even seeing the spa. When Steve said we could do it ourselves, I was amazed that he didn't try to gouge us like everyone else. He said the cleaning would be $20, and then just said to pay him "next time" before he left. I was very impressed. I will absolutely have Steve maintain our spa moving forward. As easy as it would be to do ourselves, I'd rather know it's being done right, and with someone like Steve there to do it, I know I can trust that it will be. read more

This is based on email exchanges and a phone call with the company. Not sure if the following is norm: I was asked for a picture of the pool and quoted a price for "pool flipping" and "weekly maintenance". Then I was told that "if there are problems, we will add to the original price -- I am not coming out there to do diagnosis". I am confused: how would you determine what to fix based on a picture? If you (or any other vendors do the same thing), how would you compare pricing for services to be rendered? read more

We were in need of pool servicing, and picked Steve based on his yelp reviews. We are so glad we did, because we could not be happier with his service! He and his brother are prompt, professional, and personable :) As an added bonus, he is great with our large dog, who is often in the backyard and can be an escape artist. He always makes sure the gate is secure and even plays with him, throwing a ball or two for him. Our pool had been suffering from a very serious fungus, and two pool cleaners before were not able to rectify it. We are so thankful for Steve! When he first came to our house, our pool was turning green. After his first visit, our pool was sparkling and blue! Really, after living here for seven years, our pool has never looked better. Recently, I called Steve about our electric bill to see if we should get a new pool pump.
