Wow. On 4/7 I took my 86 year old father here for an eye exam. While some employees and Dr. Karlin…read moreare extremely hospitable, we had one of the worst encounters I could ever imagine. As with most eye exams there are several tests which have to be done as well as the typical screening of the eyes prior to seeing the Doctor. At 86 my father is hard of hearing and there is a language barrier, which is why I attend all of his appointments. The first interaction with the screening was ok. The young lady wasn't rude but she seemed visibly annoyed that my dad was not completely comprehending what she was asking so I had to intervene. The next part though took the cake. What can be described as a Karen through and through. We were in the waiting room when this woman yelled out our last name. I stood up and so did another woman in the office of Asian descent. Apparently we both had the same last name. The lady seemed confused and said "there's 2 of you?" I said my dad's first name and she said "yeah that one". What transpired next was deplorable, her barking out orders and getting frustrated because my dad wasn't putting his head or eyes in the place she wanted but before I could intervene each time she just keeps yapping and continually making comments like "sir don't put your jaw there and that's not what I asked you to do. Does this woman not have parents? WTF. After this pleasant interaction we saw the Doctor and he asked for another test. No one told us it was going to be $85. It's fine I just paid it; however, who does random tests without notifying the patient on the cost of the test? Unfortunately we had to visit yet again with the unpleasant lady and this time she was just off the rails. I finally stopped her and said, "you have horrible bed side manner and a terrible F in attitude" she stops cold turkey and mutters something about being in her safe space and she is going to get somebody. An office manager comes in and asks to speak to me while another young man does the test. What a difference! A kid with patience and understanding. He mentions to me that he takes care of his grandma so he respects me for being there and totally gets it. Also mentions that the lady we were working with is extremely difficult. Meanwhile I get a talking to by the office manager about my language which is the only thing they can reference because I said the F work once to a terrible human being. I kept asking about the behavior of the employee to which I was afforded a "we deal with this behind the scenes". We see the doctor again and now upon leaving we are escorted out by the office manager who has the audacity to ask me if I am willing to apologize to the employee. I said absolutely not. He proceeds to tell me that I am choosing to do the wrong thing, oh the irony. I ask him if you are asking me to apologize, is your employee going to apologize to me and my father for her behavior? Of course the answer was no. Sad that people beat up on the elderly and can't imagine what would have happened had I not been there to advocate for my father. Never again at this office it's obviously a DEI hub of safe spaces and hypocrites. DEI has no place in this society, especially when the DEI people don't afford it to the very groups they supposedly are advocating for. What happened to us was racist with a mix of elder abuse. Treat people the way you want to be treated but don't cry wolf when someone isn't willing to put up with your crap. STAY away the reviews are spot on and I will be finding my parents a new eye doctor. ‍

A good friend recommended DLV and so I made an appointment and went to see if they could persuade me to hand over my vision to them, I was very skeptical because my vision was bad but not bad enough to be desperate for lasik. So anything less than an excellent result would have been a problem for me. From intake, to the initial exams, to the amazing closer/administrator Diana, the process was INSANELY human and warm and detailed. I saw so many specialists (surgeon, ophthalmology, optometry, lenses, etc) They made me feel completely in control, spent hours with me, gave me all the options and explanations I needed to feel fully comfortable moving forward. They even pushed forward my secondary screening to the same day so I could schedule the surgery for the soonest possible date. In the end my vision is exactly what was promised if not better. LASIK is not a cure all for 20/20 near and far, it has trade-offs, and Dr Dougherty explained all of these perfectly and exactly what he said would happen came true. I chose monovision to try and reduce the chances of or delay needing reading glasses. The monovision KICKS ASS. I can see my phone close up and perfect 10/20 far vision at the same time! Anyways, highly recommend. Top notch people, top notch process. Thank you DLV!

For…read morethe last few years, it has been a common occurrence to be left waiting by yourself for up to 1.5 hours in the examination room by your self, even through you have booked the first appointment in the morning. It is fairly obvious that you are just a source of income for Dr. Vosoghi and he has little consideration for your needs. If do think that he is a very capable doctor, however he does not explain things very well (several years ago the need for me to have an operation was sprung on me without discussion) and he does not even apologize for making you wait for well over an hour, or even seem to consider that the waiting may be impacting your own personal work schedule. Furthermore, his reception staff are arrogant and treat you with contempt. Even when trying to make an appointment 6 months out, they will only give you one option, and when you inform them that that time does not work, they refuse to offer alternatives.

As someone who is a very nervous patient and generally uncomfortable with medical appointments,I can honestly say that Dr. Vosoghi has completely earned my trust. He is kind, patient, calm and extremely thorough. I genuinely believe Im in the best possible hands with my glaucoma treatment. Yes, the office can sometimes run behind schedule but that small inconvenience is far outweighed by the quality of care Dr. Vosoghi provides. He is a leading glaucoma specialist and the peace of mind I have knowing he is managing my vision is something I wouldn't trade for anything. My husband feels exactly the same way - we both feel incredibly lucky to be his patients. His team (especially Roseana & Alex) is also very warm and professional and they clearly work hard to support the high level of care Dr. Vosoghi gives. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend Dr. Vosoghi to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate and highly skilled glaucoma doctor.

After arriving, I waited over an hour and a half, only to be told they would not see me. Even worse, the office was in-network with my insurance, yet they were unable to verify it. Instead of making any real effort to resolve the issue, they pressured me to sign a waiver agreeing to pay out of pocket and bypass my insurance coverage. I refused -- and that's when they declined to see me, despite the urgency of my symptoms. For a retinal concern, this kind of disorganization, lack of transparency, and pressure to waive insurance is completely unacceptable. I left without being evaluated and had to seek care elsewhere. This office made me feel that money and billing came before patient care. I cannot recommend this practice based on my experience.
