Also after the order was sent in with the correct frames they kept trying to give me a totally different pair of frames and you could see by the order slip and the frames the numbers did not match. After being told a rush order is being placed on the order they still took their time completing the order. Sean was the optician that assisted me and he was super pleasant and knowledgeable - I feel like I took mini optician course today with what I learned while selecting my frames. I couldn't decide & ended up purchasing 3 pair (and for a lot less than $700!) I'm still waiting on the call to pick up my glasses now. It has been longer than the 2 hours they quoted me BUT the other place told me 2-3 WEEKS so whether it takes 2 hours or all night, I'll still be happy I got them in a day as opposed to waiting almost a month. Definitely have earned my future business, I'll be back!

I received a call from my doctor in under 48 hours following my call cancelling an appointment and writing the review. He took time to hear my perspective and offered to see me again or refer me to other providers. He also apologized for cancelling our original appointment and explained he had to tend to an emergency. I have a tight schedule currently because I am planning to move to a new town, and made this known; my doctor offered to have me come in for an appointment in under a week to check on my status. When I returned to the clinic, both my doctor and the staff were attentive, friendly, and eager to make sure I was served well. Additionally, my doctor took the time to slowly and clearly explain my condition as well as my treatment options. I am truly impressed with how far the staff went to serve me before I move out of town. I specifically appreciate that everyone on staff prioritized improving communication with me. Thanks everyone at McFarland! Original review: I went to McFarland's location in West Little Rock in November 2016 for a chalazion; I continued to seek treatment through June 2017. I went through two rounds of antibiotics, steroid creams, and other non-prescription suggestions made by the doctor. He also performed surgery on the affected lid. None of this helped; I followed all recommendations to the T. In addition, I regularly would call the office to indicate my concerns that the recommendations were not helping and I was met with dismissiveness and condescension from the nursing staff. My doctor also cancelled an appointment with little warning. I regret going to McFarland. To this day my eyelid is not back to normal.

Be prepared to be billed twice for all contacts - once when you pick them up and another bill with come in the mail later. Several times my husband paid the bill from the mail even though I paid for the contacts when I picked them up. That is "just their practice" even though it is highly misleading. There is no reason to send a bill for something that is already paid for. The eyeglasses are crazy expensive, and the frames are usually last years designs (look up the designers' websites online and you can see for yourself). Finally, the contact lens department gave me the wrong prescription for my college son's contacts. I had to order a new box because he opened them before he realized it. The contacts lady refused responsibility and said it was my fault for not checking, but they don't give you the contact prescription! I asked her why didn't SHE check that the contacts were correct - it seemed to me that it was her duty to make sure she was dispensing the correct lenses. Apparently this happens a lot there. The West Little Rock location is no better and has the same terrible, double billing practices. Although I adore Dr. Hall, my family and I are done with this place.

I went into Stanton Optical with my prescription, scared I wasn't going to be able to find what I wanted, and more so not going to be able to afford something perfect with my budget. I've been in retail for over 23 years so customer service is so so important. Today I left with tear filled eyes. I got not only one, but TWO pairs of glasses, the top two on my "squeal" list. She worked with me on everything I needed and wanted. When she showed me my total, I thought I was looking at the price for just one pair, but no, I get two! She took the time to play around with different way to get as close as possible to stay within my budget, making some adjustments to the type of lens in order so I could get into glasses quicker because of my budget. She was able to hear my concerns, read my body language and ended up making it happen and ordering the EXACT lenses I wanted. She was absolutely WONDERFUL.
