I have used Enterprise for many years. However, as a result of my recent experience - in Geneva, NY specifically - I want to register a warning. I reserved an auto with Enterprise (Geneva location) on my Enterprise portal - and I received a confirmation number. I selected a specific auto and got a confirmation email with the confirmation number included. It was a done deal......or so I thought. When I arrived at the rental office I was told there are no vehicles. Simply stated - they didn't have any cars due to the Holiday weekend. There were at least 15 cars in their parking lot but nothing for me. I asked how Enterprise can confirm a car and then tell me there is no car? I was told its unfortunate; it happens often, but that is the situation. Their disposition made it obvious this is not a new issue. And - There was no effort by the office personnel to even try to find a vehicle in the region - I know there were cars available in Canandaigua and Rochester - but no effort was made. Needless to say, this was frustrating since I could have gone elsewhere and ultimately did. As a longtime Enterprise customer, I'm more than disappointed and unfortunately expressed my opinion in less than a professional manner. I guess the Sinfield episode on this topic is all too real and Hertz just got a new customer. I won't return to a firm whose deceptive business approach not only inconvenienced me greatly but also showed little concern for a long-term customer. I have rented through the Geneva NY office several times, and they've always been super helpful and considerate. The cars are clean and run well. Last year I was subject to a freak accident on the highway (ended up with a blown tire on a Jeep Cherokee, imagine how hard that is!) and the people in the office were very kind. I rented one recently in California which had a strong smoke-overlaid-with-febreze smell, and they took a large $$ off my bill, for the inconvenience. I now look for Enterprise wherever I'm going, to rent a car through them. read more

Opmerkelijk, want ik had de auto nog niet gezien. Mij werd verteld dat ik wel moest tekenen, anders kon ik de auto niet meenemen. Vervolgens wordt je met een bus naar de auto gebracht. Daar moet je weer langs een kantoor. Die geven je de sleutels en weer teken je het een en ander. Let op. Je hebt dan nog steeds de auto niet gezien. Je krijgt het nummer van de parkeerplaats en loopt zelf naar je wagen. Pas daar kun je dan de auto bekijken en checken of het schadeformulier klopt. Hoewel. Dat formulier heb je niet bij je want die heb je eeder al online getekend. Deze wordt naar je gemaild maar niet direct. Kortom, dit is zeer risicovol. Je kunt natuurlijk foto's maken . De parkeerplaats is echter zo donker als de nacht. Ze probeerde mij meer dan 650 CHF in rekening te brengen voor een krasje op de velg van nog geen 2 cm. Bezwaar maken is heel moeilijk want je hebt immers getekend voor de schades . Verschrikkelijke manier van handelen! read more

Literal scam location. I booked a rental through Expedia at about 930 on a Saturday morning. Pick up for 1030. OK, great. At about 1020 someone from the location calls me and tells me they have no vehicles. OK? So why did it say I was booked? He said they would Def have something Monday morning. I really needed a car, but whatever. I guess I could wait until Monday. Monday morning comes around, I go to the location. Dude at the desk doesn't know wtf is going on. Claims they never got my rental request, and has no cars available. No offer to contact another location, just shrugs. I severely needed a car at this point. I had to find the Canandaigua location. They were very friendly, got me in and out in a few minutes with a car. Avoid the Geneva location. read more

We had the pleasure of working with Noah from the Geneva office, as we were new to the area and thinking of possibly moving there we had many recommendations where to look and what neighborhoods to check out from Noah and his team. very friendly staff and the rental process went smooth. Someone picked us up from the hotel which was in waterloo a good 20 min. ride through construction and traffic and on the way was giving us a run down of all the sightseeing and attractions. On my return of the car I was headed back to my hotel which was a good 20 min. ride and not so easy to find a cab. Noah offered to drive me back! Very difficult people to do business with when you're in another state. We couldn't rent a car for my girlfriend's daughter (in NY) to come down and pick her up (in KY) because they don't accept credit cards over the phone. Even faxing or texting a picture of the credit card was unacceptable. And her daughter couldn't use her own debit card because she was only 24 years old. We returned our car in good order. We were then alarmed to receive notice that the car was listed as damaged by us on return (it wasnt). The car company then sent us an invoice for the equivalent of over $700 charge, but tried to charge our card with over $4500 within hours of sending the invoice. We were able to stop the first charge with our bank, but the company was able to take the $700 charge, which we are still disputing. Unable to resolve with them (they ignore emails apparently). Avoid like the plague. Charlatans. read more

I am incredibly dissatisfied with the way this branch handles business. First I was told I would get a ride to get my car. As their slogan is "WE'LL PICK YOU UP" Turns out there is a 20 minute limit. So I find a ride. Mind you it's a hour out of my way and gas is not cheap. 2nd I double checked that my Green Dot card was acceptable. The punk kid working with the unibrow called to confirm my rental the day before. Said my green dot card was fine. Also called before talking to that dummie to make sure my card was accepted. They told me yes. Did not tell me I needed a chipped card to rent a car. Nor does their website state that it's required for cards to be chipped. I missed my daughters award ceremony to get dicked around. So thank you Enterprise. Suck a fat one. I will never rent a car with your company even if I have a chipped card in the future. read more

I've rented from other locations and this office knows what they're doing and know customer service. When I'm in a hurry they get me out in 10 minutes, when I'm not it feels like a friendly visit. It's run the way businesses were 20-30 years ago, they even answer the phone when you call. read more

I've rented twice from the Geneva Enterprise location. The entire staff is very helpful and friendly. Both cars were new and in excellent condition. Gas mileage was great! They let you park your car there while away - never a charge. Definitely would recommend them to anyone in need of a car - short term or long term. Trucks are available, as well. read more

We had an awful experience with this rental company. First, we reserved a manual compact car. They gave us an automatic full-sized SUV. They called it an "upgrade." Have you ever tried to drive a large vehicle anywhere in Europe? Roads are small. Parking garages are small. Everything is small, and it was a nightmare. We dropped the car off in Zurich, at which point we had to pay fee just to drive through the airport to drop it off (I still don't understand this.) A week or so later, we get an email about a speeding violation. Fine, that's our fault. But of course we didn't read the fine print, and found out that they charge us over $50 just to NOTIFY us that we have a speeding violation. They call it a "processing fee." We won't be renting from Enterprise in any country ever again. read more

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the employees at the Geneva office. They are professional, kind and helpful. They pick you up without hesitation they also give you the car you have requested. The atmosphere amongst the employees is GREAT! The managers Zach & Michelle are a great asset to the Enterprises team. I would recommend EVERYONE to stop by and rent a car from them. They also have great weekend specials. I would also recommend joining the PLUS PROGRAM. Overall, this office is AMAZING!!! read more

I've rented multiple times from this location. Overall it is a great experience. I would give a five but did have one issue two years ago where they did not have a car ready when promised. Delayed the trip BUT overall I would say it is great to have them in Geneva! Quite convenient. read more

They USED to be good but have been going downhill lately, Definitely check and double check before you go to actually pick up your rental. Several of my friends have noticed a decline in service where they promise you that they have a rental ready to go, but OOPS, no they don't. read more
