I am an insurance agent, and I feel like this company goes out of their way to make a bad day worse for their and our customer. Our situation is like our customers have an access. Her tow company is the rotation to come out and hold the vehicle. she is in the habit of trying to keep our customers items. She will not let them items out of their vehicle. I would rate it a 0 if possible. The customer service was horrible and a woman claiming to be the "owner" was extremely rude and had an attitude the entire time she spoke to us. She was extremely condescending and refused to let my mother and I to retrieve my car without license and registration. I repeatedly told her that all of that stuff was in the car and she repeated that they look for that kind of stuff all the time and that it couldn't be in there. After an encounter with a deer, the state patrol officer called this company to pick up our vehicle. Rather than offer a quote to repair the damage, our vehicle was impounded and we needed to pay daily impound fees on top of expensive towing charges. It would take at least 1-1/2 days to get an estimate after we paid to get the car out of impound. Receptionist and Tracy with their unhelpful and condescending attitudes both made us feel our best option was to retrieve our vehicle and have it taken to a reputable body shop. Our initial contact with them proved them to be aggressive and mean-spirited. Best decision was to take it elsewhere, where the owner actually wanted to help meet our need. read more

My car was illegally towed yesterday in may 22nd 2021 from MY private property after sitting for around 15 mins of parking it.. Went to Steve's auto center to find the owner, Steve being very rude to myself, and my girlfriends 70+ year old grandmother using cuss words or all sorts and being very very rude for no reason. Went in the yard to find my car with the putter tie rod end completely broke and ripped out, bumper split and hanging on the ground, my brand new wheels curbed in multiple places that aren't even a week old (500$ each) my whole underneath completely scarped up after Steve said in his words "I can assure you there is 0 damage on that car" then called my car and myself a peace of shit and threatened to "drag my car across the yard" if I didn't drive it out with a broken tie rod about 500 feet , as I got out he laughed and went back inside after called me a peace of shit once again and didn't come out again.. I DONT recommend this place to anyone if you actually care about their car, treated me with 0 respect and very unprofessional, have 0 care for my wheel that I just put over 6,000$ into... once again DONT GO THERE read more

First let me say they are very rude and unprofessional. My son was there to get his car they towed. He was met by a guy just as he closed the car that he was in. The guy said you must be here to pick your piece of shit car. They assured me that there was no damage done to the car. When he got to the car both front rims are scratched some other part was snapped off front bumper ripped off on one side. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING. When I asked about the damage the guy was yelling and slamming doors . He was swearing at a elderly lady and everyone that was there. Let the pictures speak for themselves. I have 1997 Toyota Tercel that was involved in a accident and I brought it to Steve's Auto after it was declared totaled and other shops would not work on it. They did a tremendous job on it. VERY POOR customer service!!!!!!!! they were down right rude!!!!! my daughter was in a accident on I 40 she hydroplaned and went into the median of the interstate. They towed my car into there storage pen. and stored it until my inshurance adjuster could look at it. after the adjuster totaled my car we went to there location to clean out the car. my sonnlaw and I both went in two deferent cars. we went into the front office and up to the counter and told them who we were and why we were there. I signed the invoice and ask for a copy. they seemed reluctant to give it to me but did make me a copy. I then turned to my sonnlaw and told him to go ahead and drive though the gate and start clearing out the car. in front of the office staff mind you. they did not say anything at all but that they would open the gate. after finishing with the paper work I thanked them for their service and then left the office got into my truck and drove though the gate to where my car was. I was meet by a employee on a golf cart shouting at me wanting to know what I was doing. I calmly explained to him who I was and why I was there and that I had just left his office. He tells me he cant let more than one car into the storage pen at a time. and that I would have to leave. I said ok then turned around and left the storage pen. I parked in front in a parking spot and waited on my sonnlaw to finish the job of cleaning out the car. he comes out about 10 minutes later. and tells me the same guy that yelled at me started screaming at him about the same thing . I would not have said anything but I really think the guy was out of line with his attitude. so I and my sonnlaw went into the office to complain and was meet with another attitude by the owners who said I was the only one to ever complain. well after reading the reviews of this place I clearly am not. I have no problem with there rules and I understand why they are very restrictive on allowing access. but first off no one told us of the rules in the office.to begin with. Second a simple and polite explanation of the rule by the rude employee would have been fine but not yelling at people for breaking a rule you never told us of to begin with. and third the owners have a terrible attitude as well .all they would have had to do was apologize for his behavior and this review would not have been written. Now about their bill they charge 25.00 for a certified letter they never mailed. they also charged 50.00 for clean up of the accident scene which the driver of the tow truck said he never did in front of serval witness. This business is completely unprofessional! I've been broke down since Monday, and been here since Wednesday. It is now FRIDAY! I didn't need them to fix my vehicle, however I did ask them to look at it and tell me what was wrong. They then rolled in the truck and took off the front drive shaft and brought the truck back out. THEY DID NOT put the drive shaft back on, however they threw it in the bed of the truck! There are 4 bolts that hold the drive shaft in place, and these unprofessional dumbasses left the bolts inside their shop. They've been super short answered, and have refused to give me straight answers! They do NOT know what they're doing, and I beg of y'all to not come to this place! They will rob you of your money, and will not properly fix your vehicle. STAY AWAY!! read more

I was recommended to Steve's for some brake work. I had the brakes fixed in August and in late November there was an intermittent squealing when I applied my brakes. And then it stopped until recently. When I called to ask about any type of warranty or guarantee I immediately started getting excuses. Brakes don't use asbestos anymore blah blah blah. I could bring it in and if the brake pads needed scuffing and they could do it for a price. Really? Charge me to correct an issue with parts and labor of your shop? Why not tell me to come in to check out the problem and see what we can do? No I'm sorry for your problem just excuses from the onset. Steve, the owner, assessed the truck and called me with an estimate of time and cost. I was very satisfied with his professionalism, friendliness, and the value of the job. Steve's towing charged me such an unreasonable price for towing I was made to pay in cash, the vehicle was in the storage lot so I had to comply to retrieve vehicle. One of my drivers parked in a lot without permission and we were in the wrong. Is it the towing company's prerogative to be punitive? I had my truck towed to Steve's auto because my clutch was out and needed to be replaced. He called me the same day and told me how much it was going to be and even broke the price down for me, $229 for parts $300 labor and $85 for tow. I said that would be fine and he would call me when it was finished. He called the next day and I went to pick it up. When I got there the price was exactly $100 more than he said. This time it was $279 for parts $350 for labor and $85 for tow. I told him that this was not the price we talked about and told him this is $100 more than you told me. He says " you must have heard me wrong." No I didn't because you broke it down for me. Anyway, he has your keys so your held hostage and must pay. Steve is NOT a man of his word. read more

CANNOT BE TRUSTED Had them tow my daughters car in to figure out why it would not start. A few days later they call to inform us that the head is blown and it will cost over $2500 to repair and the car is not worth that. When we asked how much we owed him for his trouble, he said $120.00 or you could sign the title over to me and we will call it even. RED FLAG immediately! We went up there within a few hours of that phone call to pay for the tow, and let them know we had someone else coming to pick up the car for a second opinion and found that they had gone through the glove box, dumped it all out and found the title to the car which was sitting in the drivers seat. They were extremely RUDE when we paid them. Had the car towed to a different shop and they called us a day later letting us know that the only thing wrong with the car was it needed a new starter and there were parts (power steering hose and reservoir) missing off of the car, which means Steve's was removing parts from the car that had nothing to do with the repairs needed. My daughter is a single mother who like most of us cannot afford to buy and new car or a $2500 mechanic bill, and these crooks were going to just steal her car right out from under her! DO NOT TRUST THEM we have been doing some checking into them and have heard this is very common with them. Most of the mechanic shops in Conway are well aware of Steve's reputation and have had to come behind them and fix their messes. **** side note*** apparently if you are brave enough to post a negative review and make complaints about them they call you and threaten you.
