Just before the 4th of July weekend I was camping in Mendocino, parked at the market and my car…read moretotally died and would not start and had a locked steering wheel. I called AAA who sent someone out from fort Bragg but his knowledge was limited to trying to jump start the battery. I thanked him but asked around and was directed to Schlafer's which is right in town. I spoke to Judy, and she sent Ricky Santos who was there within 2 minutes, tried several ways of getting the car started and we agreed that it was a bad starter and it needed to go to the shop. He was able to unlock the wheel. We pushed the car out into the parking lot. He pushed it to the end of the parking lot while I drove it, and I cruised down the hill to the shop. That was maybe 1:00. At 4:00 p.m. I got a call from Mike in the shop saying the car was ready. I had already asked around to my husband, and some shops here in Los Osos where I live, and they said the total bill including parts and labor should be around $600 to 675. I picked my car up and paid $665. The car has run perfectly since. I feel that they made a real effort to be helpful and to move quickly on behalf of two old ladies camping in a van out of town. It was a very smooth experience, and they were all so helpful and went out of their way.

Lot of charging stations everywhere and not enough gas stations. This is the only spot in the village. 2 pumps and 1 did not work. It was also grimy and rusty and ... $10 for 1 gallon of 85! First time I have ever seen that price anywhere. Not other options so filled up the tank while I was muttering.

Jason was recommended to me by another well-known auto repair group for my body and paint needs. Since then, my wife has taken in her Toyota, sienna and Subaru Legacy, and I have taken in my Ford Mustang and he and his staff have been nothing less than complete. Often, I will get a call when there is something else unbuttoned or crooked on the vehicle, and Jason will have taken care of it. The last project that he put together for me was my Toyota Tacoma and it was nothing less than perfect! I highly recommend the business, as Jason is honest as the day is long, and makes things happen!

Ok, so here's a story. A log segment (a cylinder - maybe 2'x2.5') somehow fell over and rolled…read moredown a slope above our house, launched itself off of a cliff and landed on the hatchback of my 2013 Lexus CT200h car. I took it to Lake View auto body. It needed a new hatchback (the old one was completely trashed), and the only way to prevent the car from being totalled (I didn't want that) was to find a used replacement. Jason took care of everything. The car seems like new now, absolutely beautiful. You wouldn't know anything had happened. They even drove me back home after I brought it in. They dealt with the insurance company and made everything super simple for me. This is my second review and the second time I've come out of the experience thinking they are absolutely amazing. I couldn't recommend them more highly. The only sad bit for all of us, the doorbell camera did not trigger as the log flew off the cliff. We are deprived of an epic video. :(
