It's supposed to be a chorizo burrito instead is a hash brown burrito

Ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito this morning and was pretty disappointed. The burrito looked huge, but that's because it was packed with hash browns. There were eggs in it, but very little chorizo so little that I couldn't even taste it. After a few bites, I opened the burrito to see what was going on, and it was mostly hash browns throughout. I gave it three bites and that was enough for me. I'd rather have a smaller burrito with a good balance of ingredients and actual flavor than a giant burrito that's mostly potatoes. The bright spot was the customer service. The young lady who helped me this morning was very friendly, professional, and courteous. She did a great job, and I appreciate that. Unfortunately, great customer service couldn't make up for the burrito. When I order a chorizo breakfast burrito, I expect to taste chorizo not hash browns.

We live in Hemet and we have been going to Steve's both West and East for 20yrs. The business is consistent with excellent service and the food does not disappoint. The dining room in west restaurant is always clean. We order breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. This week had the breakfast burritos and extra salsa. If you're driving the Hemet stop at Steve's.

AWESOME LOCAL DINER... at this point I come to Steve's Burgers almost every other week if not, once a week haha. The breakfast here is phenomenal and they always have good deals on breakfast sandwiches. My breakfast recs are the Bacon English Muffins, Burger Patty & Eggs, and Spinach Feta Omelette! All the meals here are hearty and filling. I LOVE Steve's hash browns, they're the best in the valley! The food comes out fast and fresh! I love that the burgers here are properly grilled, no fake grill marks here! You can't go wrong with a hamburger or sandwich, those are my lunch and dinner go-to's. Customer service is also pretty good, there's only one weird, older Asian lady who has some issues. However, everyone else is super friendly and polite! Overall, the inside of the diner is super laidback and great for big or small groups! There's plenty of booths and tables. I love that every seating area is super clean. Even the outdoor seating area is kept tidy! The best part is that all outdoor seating areas are completely shaded! Yay! If you're in a rush, Steve's also has a drive-thru option which is pretty fast. I spend no more than 10 minutes waiting for my food. The drive-thru is spacious and has space for a multitude of cars.

The pastrami sandwich was delicious. The meat had a hint of smoke flavor. It was tender with just the right amount of fat. The taco salad was huge and was delicious.

Worst fried chicken I think I've ever had. And I love fried chicken. The breading was thicker than the chicken. The pieces looked like normal size, until you bite through the breading, then find these little tiny pieces of chicken inside.

Ever since I've moved to Hemet this is the spot for good old burgers but the chicken salad is amazing. Customer service is great and never have no complaints about the service

While visiting family in the area, we ate here twice. The first meal was breakfast from the senior menu. It was decent...eggs, bacon, French toast. Tip...the prices on the menu, including the senior menu, are discounted an additional 10% from what's listed but you need to ask for it. We decided to go back for lunch but definitely won't be doing that again! I got the tuna melt sandwich and my companion got the chicken breast sandwich. Tuna melt was subpar and chicken was okay. We both made it a combo which included fries and a drink. We should have paid closer attention to the price. It cost an extra $5.25 each. I noticed some onion rings behind the counter while we were ordering so I asked if we could switch to those instead of fries. The cashier said yes so we both did so. When I looked at our check as we ate, I was shocked to see our bill for the meal had totalled $36.22. It had to be a mistake, I thought. Turned out there was an up-charge of $2.70 each for the onion rings. I'm very miffed that the cashier didn't mention that! So, basically we paid $7.95 ($5.25 + 2.70) plus tax per person for making our meals combos! Adding insult to injury, the onion rings tasted horrible. This is from a person who never met an onion ring she didn't like! And the amount was large. One order would have been more than enough for two people to share. Again, the cashier could have mentioned that! We each choked down a couple of these dry, tasteless rings but just threw the rest out. This restaurant wasn't upscale; it serves fast food. Not a place we expected to drop $36 dollars for lunch...much less for food that wasn't to our liking. It was clean and the breakfast was decent and at a reasonable price so I'll give it 2 stars.

Upon entering we were immediately greeted by a nice man that I am assuming is the owner that other Yelp reviews have raved about. He helped us quickly at their food counter at the back (did I mention they are also a specialty foods market?) and we ordered two meals and an appetizer. We grabbed drinks from the cooler and sat at the table in the front. Our grape leaves came out first. Accompanied by chopped lettuce garnish and sliced tomatoes and oranges, they were tasty and delicious! Our food came out and we dug in to a gyro plate and a beef shawarma plate. Both came with a salad, pita and a choice of dip (we chose hummus). The portions were generous, the seasoning was mouth watering, and the presentation gorgeous! We could have easily also shared a plate, but we will always want more than one thing so it just means more chances to try new dishes! Their prices are very reasonable for extremely high quality fresh healthy food! We will be back for sure, and I also notice they deliver through DoorDash and Grub Hub. This place reminded me so much of Los Altos or El Toro so I felt right at home. It's small but the vibe cozy and homey. We took our time looking through every aisle and even grabbed some snacks and a plate food before grabbing what we came in for. My mom and I got the Chicken shawarma plate and oh my god it's SO FLAVORFUL. We needed help finding the meat section, pita bread, and more hummus and dips and the owner was so sweet and helpful Even told us to come back Friday when they restock. We are definitely going to become regular customers here. Thank you so much to the owner for making our time shopping there so pleasant, we hope your business continues to prosper

If you're thinking "calling people out" is the way to go, that's not it. Thank you for enjoying my reviews JW Team! My OG Review: SOLID, BUT PRICEY! I came in to pick up a couple of açaí bowls for lunch and I was surprised that the bowls are "make-your-own". Why? Short answer, to charge more. Each topping is an additional 40 cents, it adds up if you want a decent açaí bowl with at least three different fruits. The açaí puree stayed cold during my trip back to my place. My total for one regular and one large bowl was $29, I thought I was in LA lol. The food was fresh and the ingredients were great, but I've honestly had better fruit bowls within the last couple of weeks. Overall, the staff were fairly nice, they apologized for a lack of bags. The wait was a little excessive as there were only two employees working. A lady and her son had to wait quite a bit to be acknowledged and place their order. I liked the murals on the wall, it's very Pac-Man meets fruit! They gave a colorful touch to the shop, the music was also enjoyable.

I wish I could tell you I took some great photos of the pies...but my family apparently had other plans. By the time I thought about getting pictures of the Dutch Apple and Lemon Meringue pies, they had already disappeared. I'm going to take that as a pretty strong review from the family. Now I have a very good excuse to go back, because I still need to try the pumpkin pie. It looked delicious. Great first experience, wonderful service, and judging by the empty pie plates, I'd say Rockin K Ranch was a hit.

Beautiful Restaurant & Great Waitstaff, but Avoid the Hostile Manager:…read more on May 21st 2026 at approx 630 pm. At the last minute, we decided to take a friend out for dinner to celebrate his retirement. 15 people, no reservation. Never eaten here before, but our friend really likes it so sounded like a good opportunity to try it. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and the floor staff was wonderful. But, the manager's shocking behavior entirely ruined our experience. Will not return. * The Good: The facility is stunning. without a reservation, the staff stil accomidated our large group with a private room. The sever was attentive, friendly, and very perky. As well, the kitchen served a large group incredibly fast. * The Problem: One guest ordered a medium-rare steak that came out completely overcooked. When she asked for a remake, the manager came out and insulted her to her face, told her that if he remade it it would be exactly the same, then sarcastically asked if she "wanted him to slap down a raw steak on her plate." She said it was fine, kept the food, then later left the table and broke into tears in the restroom. * The Confrontation: After dinner, I approached him calmly to offer polite, constructive criticism based on professional customer service experience (worked restaurants for years in a restaurant my family owned) He became fiercely stubborn, denied the insult, and grew so aggressive and volatile that I had to walk away. * The Staff's View: Tellingly, multiple staff members whispered comments to our group about how awful this manager is to work for. It is a shame that a hardworking kitchen and great servers are being weighed down by a manager who lacks basic human decency and conflict-resolution skills. We spent a lot of money to be insulted. Ownership needs to step in immediately.
