Last night my family and I came in around 8:20 PM, well before your 9:00 PM closing time. We ordered our food, sat down, and had just started eating when an employee named Bella came over and told us we had to leave because they needed to mop and couldn't mop while customers were still inside. While telling us to leave, Bella even said, "We want to go home at 9:00 PM," as if that justified asking paying customers to leave before the restaurant had even closed. We explained that the restaurant wasn't closed yet and that we would leave at 9:00 PM when your posted closing time arrived. We simply wanted to finish the meal we had just paid for in peace. Bella became very rude and insisted we had to leave. When we mentioned that we didn't think a manager would approve of asking paying customers to leave before closing, she claimed the manager allows her to do this. I find that very hard to believe. After going back and forth, I told her that if she wanted us out before closing, she could call the police, but we were not leaving until the restaurant actually closed. We ended up finishing our food at 8:56 PM, got up, and left exactly as we had said we would. As we walked out, the police were pulling into the parking lot. This entire situation was completely unnecessary and incredibly disrespectful. Paying customers should never be rushed out or kicked out while they are still halfway through their meal simply because employees want to finish mopping or go home sooner. If your closing time is 9:00 PM, customers who arrive before then should be allowed to enjoy the food they purchased without being harassed. I would really like to speak with the owner because Bella claimed she is allowed to treat customers this way. If that's true, it's a serious problem. If it isn't, then I hope this is addressed before it happens to someone else. I can't imagine we're the first customers she's treated this way. My family has been coming here for years, and we have always loved this place. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed our opinion. You just lost a family of loyal customers over an employee who chose to prioritize getting out early over treating customers with basic respect. That is incredibly disappointing. read more

Okay, I'm a reasonable customer with 20 years experience in management of fast food locations....i ordered a bacon cheeseburger, onion rings and Gyro....so they made my order incorrect through the drive thru ... I ordered a bacon cheeseburger no lettuce, no tomato, no pickle. Before paying I confirmed the order and the cashier got the burger wrong. He put a double cheeseburger. So he corrected but he incorrectly Made the burger plain (no spread) so I corrected him again. So when he gave me the bag I checked the burger. I got a burger that they took the extra patty off of which left half the cheese, a splatter of mayo and smashed. I went inside and spoke to either the manager or owner (she was an Asian lady) and as she continued to argue and not want to remake my meal or REFUND MY MONEY (As she said they DONT'T do refund s one the food is made) we came to agreement to remake the burger only and that it's okay. Ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito this morning and was pretty disappointed. The burrito looked huge, but that's because it was packed with hash browns. There were eggs in it, but very little chorizo so little that I couldn't even taste it. After a few bites, I opened the burrito to see what was going on, and it was mostly hash browns throughout. I gave it three bites and that was enough for me. I'd rather have a smaller burrito with a good balance of ingredients and actual flavor than a giant burrito that's mostly potatoes. The bright spot was the customer service. The young lady who helped me this morning was very friendly, professional, and courteous. She did a great job, and I appreciate that. AWESOME LOCAL DINER... at this point I come to Steve's Burgers almost every other week if not, once a week haha. The breakfast here is phenomenal and they always have good deals on breakfast sandwiches. My breakfast recs are the Bacon English Muffins, Burger Patty & Eggs, and Spinach Feta Omelette! All the meals here are hearty and filling. I LOVE Steve's hash browns, they're the best in the valley! The food comes out fast and fresh! I love that the burgers here are properly grilled, no fake grill marks here! You can't go wrong with a hamburger or sandwich, those are my lunch and dinner go-to's. Customer service is also pretty good, there's only one weird, older Asian lady who has some issues. However, everyone else is super friendly and polite! Overall, the inside of the diner is super laidback and great for big or small groups! There's plenty of booths and tables. I love that every seating area is super clean. Even the outdoor seating area is kept tidy! The best part is that all outdoor seating areas are completely shaded! Yay! If you're in a rush, Steve's also has a drive-thru option which is pretty fast. Never Again, been to Steve's a few times is was ok. Last evening went and ordered a cold Roast Beef Sandwich on Rye with Swiss Cheese and no lettuce. Got home and it had white bread? Called the person on the phone was very unapologetic. Returned with the sandwich and demanded my money back, nice young lady tried to explain she did not have the code for that? She stated she did not have the Managers # and I told her not to lie. While visiting family in the area, we ate here twice. The first meal was breakfast from the senior menu. It was decent...eggs, bacon, French toast. Tip...the prices on the menu, including the senior menu, are discounted an additional 10% from what's listed but you need to ask for it. I noticed some onion rings behind the counter while we were ordering so I asked if we could switch to those instead of fries. The cashier said yes so we both did so. When I looked at our check as we ate, I was shocked to see our bill for the meal had totalled $36.22. It had to be a mistake, I thought. Turned out there was an up-charge of $2.70 each for the onion rings. I'm very miffed that the cashier didn't mention that! So, basically we paid $7.95 ($5.25 + 2.70) plus tax per person for making our meals combos! Adding insult to injury, the onion rings tasted horrible. This is from a person who never met an onion ring she didn't like! And the amount was large. One order would have been more than enough for two people to share. Again, the cashier could have mentioned that! We each choked down a couple of these dry, tasteless rings but just threw the rest out. This restaurant wasn't upscale; it serves fast food. Not a place we expected to drop $36 dollars for lunch...much less for food that wasn't to our liking. These Pastrami Chili Cheese Fries are The Bomb!! Everything is hot, stringy melted cheese, tasty chili, and tender n' juicy hot pastrami on top of a large bed of delicious fries! Outstanding!! I also ordered the Steve's Burgers Ortega Burger. Super yum!! The Ortega Chili is cooked to perfection! Very flavorful along with sweet grilled onions make this burger extraordinary! I go through the drive thru. I order a King Kong burger by itself and a pastrami sandwich combo with fried zucchini instead of French fries. Total comes out to $42.42, which is robbery if you ask me. Pull up to the window and the young lady takes my debit card and doesn't give it back til I get my food. I sign their receipt and leave. When I get home I go through the bag to find my receipt ( wanted to see what cost what) and there isn't one. I check my bank statement and I was charged twice for the $42.42 five minutes between each transaction.
