I do not eat hero's/sandwiches very often, but I was in a mood. I didn't have a lot of time as I was on my way somewhere. I found this neighborhood deli and it was a score! It's small space. The staff is awesome. The menu of sandwiches offered looked amazing. I went with the Sicilian but swapped out the hot copicola for just some Genoa salami. I was tempted to get some other stuff like one of their homemade soups or the crème brûlée doughnut that was on the counter. I controlled myself and stayed focused on my sandwich. Average looking NYC deli. It's small inside and packed; not very neat or fancy by any means. The counter person could have been friendlier; she was young and just looked like she didn't want to be there. Kept talking to others about random things. I ordered the turkey club and it was HUGE. overall a bit dry, but that's expected with turkey. I'd come back to maybe try other sandwiches but I'm not in a hurry to do so, as I quickly stopped only because I was in the neighborhood. read more

I branched out and tried the chicken cordon bleu sandwich and overall it was good, just too much meat for my liking but I'm sure others love it. Taste wise we got a few different sandwiches, the eggplant parm was amazing, the chicken parm sandwich was good as well, the fries could've been seasoned but not a big deal. The only problem we had was the service, we placed a pick up order, the only mess up we had was the fries, when we called back they had an attitude and made us feel like we messed up the order. I was turned onto this ace when I needed iced coffee but didnt have time to go to 711 for it. Was really surprised at how good it was. I don't usually write reviews but I felt I had to. Steve went above and beyond for me today. My friends mom passed away and I wanted to send some food. He was so nice to do it right away. He went over everything with me and even called me after it was delivered. I never had a doubt after I finished placing my order. My friend called me right away and was in tears. I was satisfied with my bacon, egg, cheese, and very good ham. When it came to getting a basic blt with avocado was such a disappointment. Literally 2 thin slices avocado. As well, they slapped everything on mostly one side of the roll. When it was cut in half most bikes were empty bread. Especially for 6 bucks...got robbed.
