I also have been suffering from migraines with the change of weather and picked up some peppermint oil. The marshmallow root tea was tasty to me but my little hated it. I went through their site and saw some other items that looked awesome, so I happily placed my order. I ordered online Saturday evening and received my box on Wednesday. Some of the other things I opened and tried were a box of grissini and a bottle of picante olive oil as well as fanta flavored mentos. All great quality. First I got the eggplant and pork, which was seasoned with shrimp paste. This was very rich and salty and savory, and although I have never really eaten Filipino food before, this dish gave me an intense food memory but I couldn't nail down what it was reminding me of. The pork is soft and fatty and gelatinous. I also got some kind of chicken stew which came in a sauce of tomato and bell pepper. This was my least favorite the three, but still a solid dish. It reminded me of my mom's chicken chili but more intense and heavily seasoned. The chicken has small bone fragments I had to be careful to pick out. Lastly, I got the pork adobo on the employees recommendation. It was super tangy and vinegary and the pork was very soft and fatty. I got noodles with my meal, but after they were already on my plate the employee told me all these dishes go very well with rice. I wish I had gotten rice, it seems that's the way to go and I will certainly do so when I return. This food is hearty and well seasoned and the portions were very large and more than worth the price. I paired my meal with a couple interesting drinks and a dessert from the grocery sections and had a fantastic meal. Looking forward to my next visit.

I always thought it was some kind of furniture store. The "restaurant" has now moved inside the grocery store. I think it works pretty well, because it's so casual. There's about 6-8 tables and every time I go there's always aunties and elders eating. & a lot of people after work or maybe school going in to pick up their dinner. The food is fresh! I recommend the 2 combo plate & add a side of soup. There's a little bit of ordering anxiety, but I watch what other people are getting & if they're not too busy the young workers behind the counter are very nice about explaining things. I've had the beef calderata (beef stew & tomato), pork with liver sauce (actually really good, soy-saucey & deep. Not a strong liver flavor), vegetables (long beans, carrot & okra) in a sort of yellow, turmeric? coconut curry. Highly recommend getting their Sinigang soup of the day. If you like kind of hot & sour flavors (more on the sour end but a clear broth) try it! It's usually with pork but I had a special Salmon one & it was delicious! Found a whole okra & good vegetables in it. Ask for garlic rice (might be extra), it's worth it! There's a lot of options to try, sometimes there's BBQ skewers. You can also get individual sides, Pancit (a rice vermicelli noodle), saw a plate of Pancit Canton (lo mein noodles) come out from the back for a lady. Wish things were labeled or there was a written sign. Very much geared towards Filipino customers who are familiar with the dishes so I guess it's not a high priority. You also can't go wrong with Chicken Adobo (stewed chicken with soy sauce, vinegar, ginger. But has bones). The tables are clean & it's like a little canteen feel where every seems to run into an auntie or uncle they know. There's a case with a lot of coconut desserts & tapioca flour treats, and drinks.
