As business owners we research all major purchases. These folks looked great to us. Sadly, we needed repairs EACH year they stopped by to do our annual maintenance. By Fall of this year in 2024, they sent someone who didn't do annual wellness service care. We were stunned. He said no worries, I'll snap a few pics for the owner. We received a $2000 invoice saying the furnace needed another repair. We are loyal clients for Zimmer all these years. One of our business clients told us about Comfort Experts and Less the owner. We have never looked back. Less pulled out our owner's manual and showed us we were missing a very important sensor wire. My husband said that he agreed to take it off with the advice of Zimmer. Keep in mind, they were the ONLY ones to ever see our boiler furnace for repair. It took weeks to obtain all the parts missing from our furnace. Since their service the furnace purrs! It no longer switches on/off and is loud. Our home is WARMER and efficient. THE ONLY folks we recommend moving forward is Comfort Experts with Less at the helm. He KNOWS furnaces. When I called, they sent a technician who told me the repair would be covered under warranty and that I wouldn't be charged. However, after the repair, the unit broke down again less than a year later. When I contacted the company this time, they refused to come out unless I first paid an outstanding bill of $1,200--something I was never expecting based on what I had been told previously. When I asked why I was being charged, the representative explained that the warranty only covered the first year, and since the initial breakdown happened after 13 months, I had been billed for that repair. I then questioned how a $1,200 repair could be justified when the unit failed again so quickly afterward. The rep simply said this was "standard" in his experience, and "just the way it is". Overall, this has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I paid a significant amount for a new system, yet I've already dealt with multiple breakdowns and unexpected charges. Not what I would expect from a professional HVAC company.

Not only did he not try to upsell us on a more expensive unit, he emphasized that the intro level system was very suitable for our house and steered us away from higher priced options because the extra features and efficiency didn't justify the price difference for our needs. As it turned out, our furnace conked out around this time, so Rechtin got a tech out to us quickly to get our old system running until the new one could be installed. The installation took two days, and the team was superbly skilled and courteous. The price of the work was not just fair, but very competitive. These guys took great care of our needs at a good price, and they were responsive when we needed them. What's not to love?

He replaced the wax ring. Service time was 90 minutes. The total price which I accepted was $600. I had Googled what a job like this should be and I got a $95 to $125 per hour range and $25 to $50 for haul away. Nick gave me the price and the option to pay just $99 and elsewhere for another quote. Yes - I took the quote but I just wanted to get the job done. So $200 for the toilet and $600 (90 minutes) to install. I was ignorant in hindsight but positive in warning others not to make the same mistake with SK ludicrous rates.

We decided to use a different company since last time they didn't put our machine back together properly. The company that came out replaced the screws and fixed the shaking very quickly.

In the end, I paid about $200 just to be told to replace the appliance. After I initially left a negative review, someone from the company contacted me and offered a partial refund for the first visit. That refund never happened. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience.
