It has been 5 years since I first visited Steve's Produce. I have to say I haven't had any disappointment of shopping here. The meat product and selections are superb. Both beef and pork are excellent quality. I picked two pound of Gulf shrimp today for 11.99 a pound (regular price 14.99). Shrimp Diane is on my menu. I have been to several produce stores nearby, but I'd stick with Steve. read more

We are new to the area and came across Steve's Produce while out exploring. They had an excellent variety of fresh produce, fresh meats, and fish. The feta stuffed olives were some of the best I had ever had. I highly recommend shopping at Steve's Produce. read more

I positively love this place. Their tomatoes are beautiful and low in price. There is no fruit or veggie you can think of that is not here. Also, they have in indoor area where they sell all kinds of meats, kabobs, bread, rice, noodles, cheese and tons of interesting ethnic items. I love Steve's Produce. We've been staying at the RV Park just down the street for the past few weeks and we do most of our shopping at Steve's. In all the states we've visited while traveling (including our home state of Ohio), Steve's produce prices beat them all and it's crazy because everything is so fresh and delicious. This is a wonderful local produce, meats, cheese, Greek import business. You can't get better steaks in the area. The feta cheese is like nothing you get in the supermarket and the Greek products that are hard to find are plentiful at Steve's. I buy all of my fruits and vegetables here. It is very busy on the weekends and it's a small building so it does take time to get checked out. read more

I heard good things about Steve's, so I decided to try it out. I couldn't believe how unprofessional and rude the staff was! A kid named Jake was throwing out highly offensive racial slurs and profanities. Apparently they don't drug test their employees, because he reeked and his eyes were glazed over. He was clearly on meth or crack or something. Either way, I wouldn't trust any of the food at a place that employees drug addicts. I immediately put my produce back and left. If Jake is any indication of the quality of their products, I will never return. If he acts like that to customers, I fear for what they allow him to do when nobody is looking. read more

Steve's Produce is excellent for fresh, inexpensive, yet high quality fruits and vegetables. They have a wide selection, all laid out very nicely outside, but covered. The inside of the shop is equally nice - fresh Boar's Head deli meats & cheeses, fresh, locally baked bread from Tarpon, tons of spices, rice, and your to-be-expected assortment of last minute food items. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. The real seller: the prices. My fiance and I filled up about four plastic grocery bags full of fresh items and our total came to $20.18. At Publix, this would have easily been about double that. Also, most of the Boar's Head deli meats were only $6.99/lb! That's about 30% cheaper than Publix! read more

We stopped in after eating next door. Walked through the produce which some things were a good buy. The green peppers were GINORMOUS and a beautiful green. we walked back into the 'cooler'/indoor market and looked through the meat buys. Again, some decent prices. The one thing I love is helping the locals or the smaller businesses instead of the Winn Dixie's and the Publix's. I do not know who Steve is but his place is nice. I will return for some of his well priced produce and items you can't locate elsewhere. Still looking for the perfect Tzatziki sauce. read more

Steve's really is a hidden treasure! It's right off Alt 19 in Palm Harbor, but easily missed and can be mistaken for just a produce stand. But, Steve's has a FULL Boars Head Deli with prices $1-$2 per pound cheaper than Publix and they make to-order Subs! Plus, Steaks, Burgers, Chicken, Crab Cakes, Fish, Sausages, TONS of Cheese, Fresh Bread and too much to name, not to mention all the fresh local produce! read more

They sometimes have reduced priced produce in bags for $1 super cheap and the fruit and veggies are still is good shape, minor bruise or extra ripe but totally worth it for a $1 read more

When I moved to town last year I stopped here to look at the produce outside. I was holding my dog and a worker (young plump man) promptly yelled from 20 feet away "no pets allowed." I apologized and left. On my way out that same worker started laughing and FLIPPED ME OFF. I was obviously offended but I just figured it was a low life place and I wouldn't go back. Months later my partner wanted the 19.99 filet mignon so we went. That worker wasn't there and it was a decent experience. The next 3 or 4 decent experiences too, with a varied fruit, veg, meats and dairy goods at very fair prices. Then last week I noticed the feta cheese I was about to buy had expired in Nov 2019. That's literally half a year it's gone unnoticed that dairy is expired. Retch. Today when it was my turn to be cashed out, the man at register 1 (who I assume is the manager, dark hair and older than the rest of the crew) aggressively shouted at the female cashier who was taking care of me at register 2 in the most condescending way possible, in front of everyone. The fruit I was buying was loose in a box (because I bought the whole box of it) He yelled at her to put my fruit in a bag to weigh it and then "save the bag if she doesn't want it!" When I say yell- I mean she was 2-3 feet from him and it made me want to cover my ears. Everyone In line was tense from his hostility. Sir if you're reading this you need to GET A GRIP and learn proper customer service and MANNERS. Being rude and patronizing to a soft spoken young woman is unprofessional, humiliating, and makes everyone around you feel uncomfortable. And to you, sweet girl who cashed me out, if you're reading this know that you deserve respect and kindness. Don't work for anyone who doesn't give you those two things. I'll happily be driving the extra 10 mins to get to Keystone Farmers Market anytime I want quality goods and service. read more

Perhaps Sunday is an off day but their prices and quality of produce and fruit was not impressive with the exception of strawberries. All of their cute uses were expensive and not very appealing. Every time I drive by their seems to be a crowd so I have no problem going back again but my first visit was nothing special. I will say their inside food was reasonable. That being homemade sausage. I love Steves. We moved to Ozona last year from Texas and we literally stop at Steves once to twice a week. Their produce is fresh and reasonably priced. They also sell fresh products from other local vendors such as bread and eggs. We also absolutely love their meat. We will not buy bone in porch chops, chicken thighs, or filets anywhere else. The one thing I wish they sold was a good cut of skirt steak. Would highly recommend. read more

The checkout is at the far end of the store in a corner You literally have to fight your way through a crowd to get out. First time there, they had a good selection of produce and great prices. The staff was not friendly, the man who rang up my order didn't say one word, he was very grumpy. The woman who checked out in front of me had even told me that she thought this guy was having a bad day, and it was very obvious. I will never go to Steve's again. I went in there the other day while staying in Dunedin. Heard the manager (possibly Steve, not sure), berating the staff about losing the TV remote and not being able to find it. You DON'T do this in front of customers. He went one by one to each of the workers and yelled at them because they lost the other remote while shaking the one he DID have at them. FYI, It looked like he should be spending more time on an exercise bike than watching TV. Will pay a little more at Public rather than support a business that treats their employees this way. I bought a 2.53 lb bag of cherries that were supposed to be $1.99 a pound and a $1 bag of peppers and got charged $11.09. I wish I would have paid better attention while I was checking out. Maybe it was an innocent mistake but I paid $5 to much and will never be back. Oh well, at least the cherries were delicious. read more

I can't deny Steve's props. I was just in there this morning and confirmed their inventory! I just scored beautiful beefsteak tomatoes, radishes, and cherry tomatoes! Not limited to fresh fruits & veggies, they also have a great deli section with great cuts of meat and whole chickens! Their specialty items range from Greek cookies to Taramasalata to Italian bread to Creole spices! Their prices are extremely righteous! As noted, their shrimp and stone crab are always fresh and reasonably priced. I must admit, this is fast becoming my produce stand of choice! read more

I used to go to Steve's a few years ago and always liked their produce and selection. Recently I was in the neighborhood and stopped by rather than going to my regular (closer) market and I was greatly disappointed. They didn't have some of the items I wanted and what I did buy has turned out to be of poor quality. The avocados are green and still haven't ripened after almost a week, the mushrooms were all mushy when I opened the package and were tasteless. The green beans were good, although pretty small. I love to see Produce stands. I was happy to see Steve's on our way back from Honeymoon Island. The place is pretty cramped but its cramped with produce and such. The prices are not great but they are less than Publix. I purchased some nice apples, peaches, jalapenos, and the most beautiful poblano peppers. The peppers are firm and smell delicious. We went inside the little store and again very cramped. We may go back for the "Gulf" shrimp. They carry specialty items and various pastas that you not normally will not find in a grocery store. We purchased some funky noodles that I am looking forward to making. I also purchased a huge watermelon that was very heavy and when I cut into it - beautiful, sweet and delicious read more

We used to go to the local supermarkets near Steve's Produce for veggies, fruits, seafood, meats, bread and deli items. Steve's is our one stop shop for most of these products. My wife loves this place she really doesn't want to go elsewhere. I like it for convenience I hate to walk up and down the grocery floors. I drop $30 to $40 a week here at Steves - but my former bills at the nearby grocery stores were reduced by about 50% and the quality of Steve's Products are always first quality. His only problem is to expand his parking lot for the increased traffic he has now. The restaurant next door has his overflow traffic, but how long can that last? read more

Fresh produce and great fish and meats! Don't let this gem pass you by!

When I moved here 3years ago, I was excited to find this fresh produce stand. It looked and smelled good from a distance. Some of the produce is good, most just OK, the rest is bruised, small and overpriced for it's value. The WORST thing here is the horrible attitude of the owner and staff. I have not been treated so rudely anywhere in my memory. I asked a question and was given a dirty look! No kidding!! I paid the owner, smiled while saying thank you, and was completely disregarded. I told them I will not return and I won't. It's worth it to go to Publix where I now buy all my produce. Much much better quality and welcoming smiling staff. read more

Steve's has a great selection of quality meats, fresh produce, imported cheese, dressings, bread, desserts. . .they have everything, really. It reminds me of a European market, complete with a ton of goods organized into an unassuming storefront. In the fall you can even find your decorative cornstalks and pumpkins. I like to get all my gyro fixings (including their homemade tzaziki) gourmet ravioli, and euro candies and treats, not to mention seasonal produce that tastes as close to the farm as you can get around here. Stop in and get hooked on this hometown treasure especially to meet Vikki. Her smile is always the same but her hair never is!! : ) read more
