Looking for Hair & Makeup artists in an area you're unfamiliar with can be more stressful than finding shoes or jewelry or a dress, honestly. Obviously, I'm an avid Yelper. I Yelp EVERYTHING, so this was no exception. I contacted a few hair stylists but Stevi was one of two that reached back out to me. I arrived and sat down for our consultation. We chatted about the wedding, the hairstyle, my bridal shower, all of it. Stevi has a very calm spirit about her. Which I really appreciated esp during the midst of wedding planning. Our consultation went well! I told her what I was looking for and what I wanted and she delivered. I scheduled an appointment about a month and some change out for a trim. She recommended that I cut just a few inches adding layers but still keeping the length of the bottom. Which turned out really nice! She cut some life back into my hair LOL! Day of the wedding! She showed up with her bag and got to work. She curled my sister in laws hair, styled my mother in laws hair but the real magic was my moms hair. My mom showed Stevi a picture of my late Nonna's hairdo back when she was in her 20's. It wasn't the best of pictures because you could only see a part of my Nonna's style. She got it so close to my Nonna's hairstyle that my mom almost started to cry. She was sooo happy with her hair! Of course, my hair was beautiful. I did tell her that I wanted a little more volume and volume she gave. It was long enough, lightly curled and pinned back. She added my veil and pinned that bad boy in and we were on our way. Stevi has a station at Elements Salon after a fire took out at her old location. Stevi was very attentive to what I wanted and offered great suggestions based on my concerns for my hair type (tons of wavy/curly hair that I usually wear straight).
