Wow, I must've been living under a rock! I've heard great things about this place for a while but usually opt for something a little more than just pizza when I'm in the ar. Took my son and his friend here on a Saturday afternoon--because what kid doesn't want pizza--and to my surprise, it ended up being one of the best slices I've ever had. On one of my recent visits my son got it in his head that we should go try the #1 pizza in Washington. But it was too far so we decided on #2 but the line was really long so #3 it was. Stevie's Famous pizza is in Burien WA. For those who are not familiar with Burien. If Seattle is too Conservative for you Burien is your place apparently. It's a nice little town. The downtown is quaint. Nestled below the rainbow flags is a little store front Pizza place. I don't know if the guy behind the counter was thee actual Stevie but we ordered different slices of various pizza to try it out. I had the sausage my son had the Normie McDonald my daughter had the White. Now I don't know who does the rating of Pizzas in the PNW but the top 2 must be mind blowing cause Stevie's is the best pizza I've ever had. I like tasting the crust and Stevie's crust is fantastic. Been wanting to try Stevie's for awhile! I've always heard great things. I was hoping the seating was a little better, the bar stool felt weird to sit on so we sat outside. The staff was really nice! I was hoping they had slices of the white pizza to try but they didn't so we ordered a whole pepperoni and a slice of sausage to try while we waited. I didn't know that everyone recommends the barata & hot honey so we just got both the way they came. I've heard a lot of good things about Stevie's Famous Pizza so the hubs and I finally made the trek out to Burien to try it. The vibe is very 80s and very cool. I loved the collage wall of pop art, musicians, and cartoons on one wall; the red booths; the Miami Vice-style bathroom with the red lighting; and all the bustling pizza makers behind the counter. We ordered a tomato pie because we wanted to try the basic pizza. If the sauce and sourdough crust aren't good, why bother with toppings? Also, I have a hard time digesting dairy so I didn't want any cheese. We didn't have to wait too long. Our pizza came out hot and crispy and was delicious. I am not a fan of the breadcrumbs on top though--I didn't think it added anything. Also, I would have liked more EVOO drizzled on top. The shop is small with just two tables/booths and two window counters with stools. There are a few small tables outside. We were there between 4:30-5:00pm on a Friday and man, was there a steady stream of customers! There were people coming in for slices, for whole pies to go, for whole pies to eat in. I came across Stevie's Famous via social media and the people weren't lying that they have the BEST sourdough crust pizza in town (maybe in all of WA). I literally made my boyfriend take me here twice in one week because of how mind-blowing good their pizza is! Stevie's sells whole 12" pizzas (made for 2-3 people) and pizza by the slice. They unfortunately don't do half and half pizzas, so you and you companion(s) have to be on the same page if your ordering a whole pizza. On my first visit, I ordered a slice of their classic PEPPERONI ($5.50) and made it a Normie (+$2). I'm not sure who Normie is, but Normie is an absolute genius for adding burrata and hot honey to pizza - a literal kiss from heaven. The burrata and hot honey combo adds lots of complex flavors to your slice - so you get the savory, the sweet, and the spicy in every bite - and complex textures with the crispy chewy crust and the soft and creamy burrata. The pepperoni was fantastic and the sourdough crust was fresh and out of this world! On my second visit, I got a slice of their MUSHROOM GORGONZOLA ($6) and you already know I had to make it a Normie (+$2). The mushrooms were nice and earthy and while this pizza didn't have tomato sauce, it had a nice olive oil base and was super delicious. They rotate their pizza slices daily, but always have your standard cheese and pepperoni. If you're getting a slice, they warm up the slice for you right after you order so the cheese gets super gooey and the crust gets super crunchy. I haven't gotten a whole pizza from them yet, but the make it fresh on the spot. Make sure to grab extra napkins cause the slices do get oily and therefore messy. Service is great and the people working there are super friendly. It takes them only about 5 minutes to warm up a slice of pizza and they always welcome you in and thank you for coming on your way out. In terms of atmosphere, they have limited indoor seating and a couple of outdoor tables. They have merch featuring their dog logo and a couple of arcade machines too. Parking is limited to street-parking only, but I didn't have any issues finding a spot a couple of blocks down. Overall: 5/5 for pizza, 5/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere. read more

I was in the area and wanted a dinner option that would travel well back home, Stevie's Famous pizza was in walking distance from where I was. The pizza, welcoming pizzeria atmosphere, and most importantly the customer service were all fantastic! Chad and his team yieled excellent service to everyone who walked in, and made every pie to order. The crust was crispy and flavorful, the cheese was sharp, sauces were bright and savory; a perfect slice. All three of my very pizza particular kiddos enjoyed every bite of their cheese slices. I had very high expectations of this place but it kinda disappoint. We got the limited edition pizza which came with sausage, pepperoni and Cheeto powder. We could barely taste the Cheetos powder though, but the entire pizza was pretty salty. The crust was super tough after 30 minutes. Right out of the oven, it was fine. But it was very flimsy. The owner was really nice though, he comes out to chat once in a while. We did have to wait a while since we ordered a whole pizza. If you're in a hurry, you can grab slices. Price was ok. Some sort of dairy) and got a whole sausage pizza but made it a normie, which adds burrata and hot honey. I do wish the hot honey was spicier but it added a nice sweetness. The dough and crust were delicious. My total after tax was almost $50 so a little pricy imo but I'd come back. The pizza fed 2 people + 3 slices leftover. Service was very nice. Today I was in the SeaTac area at lunch time and decided to try Stevie's Famous in Burien, after the excellent experience in the Beacon Hill location. I have to say that the quality of the pizza was not the same, it didn't deliver the same amazingness. Overall it was very good, but less crisp, a bit chewier, and stingier with the cheese. On a Dave Portnoy scale I'd give it a 7.6. Still good, but not worth the trip IMHO, especially because the other location or post alley are much better. read more

I got takeout and it was incredible! The coppa was the star for sure, but the mushroom was Al's super unique. My fav was stacking one slice of each and eating it together. I also got the Caesar salad and it was incredible - the croutons were ground up almost like big breadcrumbs but they tasted like croutons and I hate breadcrumbs and love croutons so they were delicious and perfect and didn't slice up the roof of my mouth. Really cool pizza spot in Burien. I stopped by to give it a try and had a slice of pepperoni and made it "Normie" style, which seems to be their signature. It was a pretty large slice with hot honey, burrata, pepperoni, and a little drizzle of their hot pizza oil which all together gave it a lot spicy, and sweet notes that were definitely a unique flavor profile that I've never had on a pizza before and I think separates Stevies Famous from other pizzas. Only downside was that it was a reheated slice so it a little dry and the bottom of the pizza was slightly overcooked for my taste, but I would happily come by to try a fresh whole pizza to see how it compares. Casual mom and pop place serving New York slices and pies. Small with a few tables inside and a few outside. Order at the counter and they bring it to you. My family ordered a slice each and a Caesar salad, which the salad was delicious. Interestingly served with a lemon wedge and crouton crumb topping. The slices tasted great and authentic with a chewy crust, although I think because the pepperoni pizza had just come out of the oven my husband and son's slices were fresher than mine. I ordered a sausage slice which after being warmed the crust was a little crunchy but still pretty good. If I lived nearby I would have a real problem of going here too often. Stevie's Famous signage caught my eye after exiting a nearby indie bookstore while visiting Burien (3/22/25). I had bookmarked it after seeing it featured awhile back on KING 5 Evening Magazine. Great to find a spot that featured whole and slices of pizza, salads, bevs, and desserts. I ended up selecting one of the two daily specials because I saw prosciutto. Thin style, but well prepped with enough bake time but not charred into well, charcoal. The counter person kindly heated up my slice placed on a lined paper plate. The sourdough crust retained its signature tang. There's two booths, counter seating, and outdoor sidewalk seating. Interior had two arcade machines. Wall of stickers. Some merch. Stevie's Famous is famous for a reason. Everything about the pizza is perfect. The sauce tastes fresh and light but not watery, the cheese is perfectly salty and has a good pull but doesn't slide off of the slice, and the toppings are high quality. I had a slice of the Normie while I waited for a whole pie to go and it was the best decision I've made all week. The sourdough crust and their perfectly timed bake hold up well to the toppings and the creamy burrata helps cool the piping hot slice. I'm looking forward to my next visit already! read more

Good flavor combo and the heat/honey combo was perfect (made in house). Always love to support a chef's whimsy, so ordered the special. Probably shoulda come with a warming that it was spicy, but then, Calabrian chili says it all. Super balance of heat and the ricotta set it off well. Very flavorful blend and plenty of toppings. Both pizzas were a tad greasy and difficult to cut with a knife, but roll your sleeves up and fold the pie, New York style, and you'll be fine. As I walked in I was in awe of the cool decor and couple of arcade cabinets (I can't remember which games), and the wall has a collage of cool art. We ordered online to pick up in store. We got the build your own pizza which we got pepperoni and bacon bits on one side and mushrooms and sausage on the other side. I opted to pick up the pizza and the staff member that helped me was fairly friendly, however, I did check the pizza as I got to the car and the burrata was not in the box (as it is served on the side) and so I had to go back to the store to get the burrata, however I ordered a full portion of burrata I was only given half portion (a $3 difference) and didn't realize until I got home. I will still come back and order again, but this time I will unfortunately have to be more attentive and ensure I'm getting what I paid for. Not a big deal but I shouldn't have to check, considering the restaurant had just opened for the day. If you go there to dine in, they do serve slices and have plenty of searing in which my boyfriend and I will do next time so we can try different kinds. You would have thought I had long covid with the time i've taken off from Yelp. Yeah, it's been a few years. Unlucky you, but after multiple review of the day awards the genius had to recover. Also, i was in therapy for awhile (thanks Anne), and was prioritizing my mental health over your fickle quibbles about whether there's enough places to sit at this pizza joint (allow me to retort). Alas, The Ruler is Back... This is my go to pizza spot in the neighbor hood and has been since they've opened. Everything is excellent and made thoughtfully with quality ingredients. My go to is a cheese, sausage or pepperoni, but everything from the decadent Normie to the daily slices are great. It's funny how sometimes a well made simple cheese slice can bring a tear to the eye of an old man who learned in therapy that he just wanted his father's approval. Was that too deep for you? If it was, they also have a great selection of locally canned beers to drink away the pain. Yeah, the seating is limited, but you're having a slice a pizza not a mfing five course taster. Grow up and get your slice to go if it's crowded and take it down the street to Logan Brewery and support another local business instead of complaining about a minor inconveniences. Everything from the crust to the toppings was spot on! This restaurant comes from the owners of Lupo, which is another favorite Seattle pizzeria of mine and it delivers too. They use local Washington flours for their sourdough crust which is so delicious by itself. I got their pepperoni which has a tomato base, oregano, pepperoni cups and nuggets, aged mozz. I also added some hot honey which really elevated the flavors. It can be quite busy on weekends, the staff were very friendly and prompt. They have indoor and outdoor seating, we went for the outdoor seating and it was pretty nice outside in Olde Burien. I can't wait to return and try the Normie Macdonald next! read more

Here's the deal--I saw a TikTok that led me to this pizza spot. I finally made it there, but when I walked in, I noticed the guy was handling the pizza with his bare hands. He was picking up slices and putting them in the oven and the box, and then he sprinkled grated cheese on top--again, with his bare hands. Maybe that's how it's done, but he was also taking orders, which really turned me off. I didn't see him handle money, but he did prepare and serve the order. We ended up leaving shortly after seeing that and headed to the Beacon Hill spot, hoping they don't follow the same process. I'm sure the pizza is great, but I have to give it 1 star for this reason. It just doesn't seem sanitary to me, especially with so many viruses going around right now. I'm sorry, but that's how I feel. This review is specifically about the preparation process, not the service or the food.
