I love Stew Leonards. This was my first visit to the Norwalk location. I was most impressed with the coffee bean roasting station! Hot roasted beans. Everything is high quality and priced better than Wegman's. High quality and attention to detail.

This Stew Leonard's is super cute, it's pretty big and has it all. I love the variety and the freshness of things. The staff is friendly and this place always look nice and clean which makes it a joy to shop. They have a cute little mini "farm" outside for the little ones, with goats and ducks, it's a nice addition if you have kiddos with you. They have groceries, they have ready to eat hot food, baked goods, desserts and even party balloons and gifts. They have samples inside which I loveeee, the prices are fair and I really really enjoy shopping here!

I love coming to Stew Leonard's and my mother used to bring me all the time when I was a kid. My daughter has never been to Stew Leonard's so we decided to stop by to get some Ice Cream. I could always remember that Stew Leonard's always had some great Ice Cream. We walked the store and we both ordered Red Velvet Ice Cream. The Ice Cream was so delicious. It was so creamy and tasted just like Red Velvet Cake but in Ice Cream form. We will be back for more!!

We've been getting our Christmas tree from here for the last few years. They raised the price of the cathedral tree to $219 and it is TINY in comparison to previous trees. So disappointing, will not go back. Feel like we were taken. Merry Christmas Stew :(

Always a pleasure visiting Stew Leonard's! Between the petting zoo outside and the dancing/singing animatronics inside, as well as the delicious samples, Stew's is an easy favorite. Everything is fresh, well-organized, and high quality. The produce is immaculately stacked, the veggies look awesome, and everywhere you look there are more and more options to choose from. The staff are incredibly nice, as well, and are always around to help. I stopped by this weekend and saw that this location had undergone a few renovations to the front, making the entrance and produce area a lot bigger. It looked great! Plenty of parking onsite, as well. Great for families and people of all ages (I went with several friends, all in our 20s, and we all loved it).

This place is an institution- so much more than a grocery store. The amount of house made products are insane. Love the free samples here, from the delicious ice cold apple cider to the hot chicken. Staff here are pretty friendly and helpful. Insane selection of prepared foods from all different cultures. Very kid friendly and interactive, sometimes can be a little bit of a sensory overload.

The best grocery chain in CT! The grocery experience here is like no other. The workers are always so nice and look like they really love working here. The food selections are top notch. Where else can you earn a free ice cream?!

Never a disappointment. From soft serve to coffee to unique items, has everything you want and need for a very affordable price. Wish I met the owners to thank them personally. For this very store, I want to move back to CT. Really great reminder of my youth, great competitive prices, fresh and unique food selections and just a great experience! This should be the STORE OF THE CENTURY in all of the east coast. Really sad I don't live near one.

I admire this creative, energetic grocery store with unique offerings. I wish SL would expand into Oregon, if only for the deli section. From barbecued meats to roasted chicken to stuffed bread to outstanding side dishes, SL has serious offerings for special dinners. I can imagine this would be a lot to take in with children, but for my adult daughter and me, it's a blast. My favorite section is an island cooler with veggie sides--butternut squash, broccolini, mashed potatoes, mushrooms and so on. Pair any of that with a roasted chicken and boom! Dinner! I'll be back whenever I'm in town.

A real surprise, soft serve cream! I would have not really thought to try soft serve ice cream from a market, but my daughter who lives near by said it was a must try. They have a great variety of flavors as well as Dole whip! They also had a childhood classic that most places don't have which is cherry hard shell dip as well as chocolate, most places only have chocolate, so the cherry was a great surprise, so I ordered a cone with vanilla and cherry dip. The ice cream consistency was very smooth and has very little or no air because it was very dense and creamy super high quality. If you're in the area I highly recommend you guys check it out!

This is not my first time using this service, and I have never had issues before, which makes this failure even more unacceptable. Poor customer service deserves to be called out, and this is a blatant example of it. My order was canceled with absolutely no notification--no email, no text, no explanation. I was left waiting for an order that had already been canceled without my knowledge. This is completely unacceptable and reflects a serious breakdown in Stop & Shop's customer service. Why offer a service you clearly cannot manage or guarantee? Had I not called to follow up myself, I would have been left in limbo indefinitely. There should be a basic system in place to notify customers of any order delay or cancellation, along with a reason. From a technical standpoint, this is not difficult--you already have customer contact information, including email and phone numbers. To make matters worse, after this failure on your end, I was forced to resubmit the order, make an additional payment, and now wait 7-10 business days for a refund or credit on the canceled order. This is negligent, unprofessional, and an unacceptable way to conduct business. If zero stars were an option, that is what this experience deserves.

Slightly off the beaten path, I surmise it is well known to Darien residents. The layout is somewhat unusual -- you enter into the dairy aisle, with produce at the other end of the building. Make sure you try the prepared foods -- the chicken scarpariello meatballs are our favorite item so far. Soups were excellent -- chicken matzo ball, sausage gumbo and carrots ginger all pleased. Pulled pork was savory but could have used some sauce. At Easter they were sampling delicious ham and scalloped potatoes. Fresh meats appeared to be of high quality, I can vouch for the hamburger patties. The fish counter is small and is not attended by a fishmonger. I've only had free samples of the baked goods so far, but they look great. Produce is solid, but as expensive as you would expect from a gourmet market in Darien. And the rotisserie chicken might be the best financial decision in the whole store. Somehow it's the one thing that feels like a bargain while everything else gently reminds you that quality comes at a price. In the end you walk out with great groceries, a lighter wallet, and the comforting feeling that at least you did it with a cup of free coffee in your hand. Honestly, worth it.
