I was stuck in traffic so decided to take a back road. I'm not from this area but I ran into a quaint little country store. I love everything about country stores, specially when I know that my purchase is contributing directly to the families. I bought a small bulky Italian combo. Combo doesn't mean it comes with a drink and fries LOL. It's just what they called that sandwich. It's delicious for one, and for two I would just make one suggestion. They should have some of these sandwiches already made to go so that people that are working on their lunch break or just need a quick bite can run in and grab it and leave rather than staying there waiting for 10 minutes. I used to stop in at this place when it was under a different owner, it was good food then. I knew the owner and he was a good person. The new owner misses the mark with all the food. I found things missing in every order since and they don't actually put an effort into what they make. Last time I was there I was eating a sandwich in the parking lot and was struck by a van, I honked three times before I got hit. When the cops came the owner immediately took the side of the contractor because he gets his coffee there and called me a liar and a fraud. He said I was making it up, it happened right in front of his store and I am not one to complain. The man who hit me runs a shady business in the area and they told the cop I was making it up. It wasn't that bad and I have moved on, but the food has gotten horrible before that and with the owner being a con artist and supporting them, I don't like this place. read more

I miss the old cook and her daughter so much! They had great personality! The food is scimpy now. And the lady is always on the phone while ringing people out (rude). There's literally no healthy food. It really does feel like a gas station now. Don't mean to bash the new owners but I use to love going to the country store now I hate the experience. I think I ordered this sandwich for 4 years Chicken Parm: I don't know what it is about chicken parm, but the Country store's is THE best I have EVER had Tuna Sandwich: anytime you get tuna, the break should be toasted, if you get it at the country store make sure you ask for their balsamic dressing on it as well (it is the perfect combination of sweet and vinegar) Roast Beef: its homemade -- nuff said! I stop by most mornings to get an egg and cheese sandwich, freshly made because I like mine without breakfast meats. You can get the traditional bacon or sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich made fresh or if you're in a hurry grab one from the warmer which was recently made. Just as they monitor the coffee, the sandwiches are also monitored so they are made as needed. My daughters agree their egg sandwiches are the most flavorful around. They'd like to get breakfast there everyday. If you'd like something special they're happy to make it.
