Our Jeep broke down on March 17th. It wouldn't accelerate, made a strange sound, and felt like it was pushing back when I pressed the gas. We had it towed to this dealership's service department since they could take it overnight and diagnose it the next day. The diagnosis ($500) found a rear left wheel speed sensor issue and some transmission problems. Getting an actual quote from there, however, was a nightmare. Communication was our biggest frustration. Since we didn't have a car, we couldn't just show up. We were entirely dependent on phone and email. Our service advisor was a nice person, but it was incredibly difficult to: Get him on the phone Get a straight answer on costs (parts and labor) Get anything in writing To make matters worse, the service advisor mixed us up with other customers and sent our information to them. That's a pretty concerning lack of attention to detail and a privacy issue. Once we approved the work and parts were ordered, he kept giving us delivery dates that came and went without any update. We had to chase him down every time. Our car sat in their shop for 45 days. Then, the kicker. We picked up the car, and before we even got home, the ABS light came back on. The very issue we brought it in for in the first place. On top of that, the car was making a really weird scraping noise that hadn't been there before. When we returned, they diagnosed a front right wheel speed sensor malfunction and said they'd need to order the part (of course not in stock). We needed the car back for a family emergency, so we left frustrated and unresolved. When I escalated to the general manager, the response was dismissive and at times patronizing. Not what you want to hear after 45 days, poor communication, and an incomplete repair. The one bright spot was Walter, the service advisor manager, who actually listened, validated our concerns, and showed genuine empathy and understanding. Here's what really puts it in perspective. We ended up paying around $2,000 at this dealership for a 45-day ordeal that still didn't fully resolve the issue. When we took the Jeep to a local mechanic in my hometown, he was able to diagnose the problem, source the part, and install it. All in a single day, for under $150. He also identified the scraping noise as a brake plate issue and fixed it easily at no extra charge. I understand Bay Area prices are higher, but that's not a small markup. That's an enormous gap that's hard to justify given the level of service (or lack thereof) we received here. Bottom line: Disorganized, unresponsive, and overpriced. I've been trying to resolve an issue related to a lease protection plan that I purchased through them, but communication has been extremely poor. I was told a manager would call me back, but that never happened. It has now been a week, and I still cannot get in touch with anyone who can actually help. This place takes the cheap route and no accountability at all. I purchased a vehicle from here on February 27th, 45mins of me driving off the lot I noticed a major problem that was HIDDEN from me by the salesman just to make his sale. Within 45 mins of me leaving the lot and pulling up to work to show my coworker my new car, we noticed the passenger door loose and seeming like the hinges were broke or lose. I immediately called the salesman who took care of me. He tried to say as long as it's not a problem with "safety" then there nothing they can do and he didn't notice anything (when he's the only one who opened and closed that door multiple times). I immediately asked to speak to a manager I believe his name is David, David then told me bring it in for service to possibly look at it. I brought it in a day or 2 after. The manager David, the General Manager, and a service tech looked over my car. The service person told David that THEY KNEW THE CAR HAD A DOOR ISSUES DURING INSPECTION but they still put it on the sales floor instead of fixing the issue or sending it to auction (if it costs too much to fix).....Anyway, David told me to "take it to a couple auto body shops near you to get a diagnosis and we will take care of it, it sounds like it can be put back on track". I knew it was more than that but I agreed. I went to 2 auto body shops one in Oakland and one in alameda. Both were mad/upset with the condition the car was in to just have came from a dealerships days before. They both told me the "minor" accident that was on the CarFax was BS and it looks like it was put together back in a backyard after further looking at it, even advised me take legal action if the dealership acted weird about fixing it. I relayed the info back to the manager David who was helping me. He told me bring it in and they will get me a loaner car and take it to their auto body's shop. I agreed and brought in the car, I was put in a loaner car and sent on my way. I called back maybe 4 days after to check the status and I was told my car would be back within a day or so. Which I thought was kind of fast for the amount of damage it had. I picked it up the next day, the door only closed slightly better. Still no major issues fixed, nothing structural was fixed or replaced, just THE CHEAP QUICK FIX THE MANAGER KEPT INSISTING IT WAS. MY DOOR BARELY CLOSES WITH OUT SLAMMING IT, HAS A HUGE GAP IN THE DOOR CAUSING LOUD CABIN NOISE, DOOR SOMETIMES DOSENT CATCH ALL THE WAY (but not a safety issue huh), AUTOMATIC WINDOW FEATURE DOES NOT WORK (due to cheap fix maybe faulty wiring) and you can just visibly see the gaps looking at the side and front of the car.... Like I told them from the jump I just want my car properly fixed, I'm not asking for money, to return the car nothing, just simply a completely fixed $30k SUV. I have called every week the GM ignores my voicemails, I'm sure the the front desk knows my voice, David of course stopped responding or answering and I'm just trying not to take a further route. I took my vehicle there for a simple diagnostic with a trouble light or check engine light indicating an oil pressure/cam out of compliance code. Thinking that the dealer would be more reputable I initially felt at ease. Stewart Chrysler Dodge did a bunch of alleged diagnostics and lazy claim that my issue was a bad oil change with non-Mopar parts. Prior to taking vehicle there I had three oil changes with the last assuring that they used OEM parts. Stewart Chrysler Dodge kept my vehicle for over a week and had not done anything to it, but claimed they did another oil change because my oil was dirty (this is after three oil change prior and I know my oil was not dirty.) prior to taking my vehicle there I knew I had a slow leak in my rear passenger tire that I intended to fix but hat carried a air compressor in my car because it would lose air approximately every three days. This shop claimed that they adjusted my air pressure but when I got into my car to leave, I had a red light, low pressure warning with 20 pounds of pressure in my tire and the service person who drove my car out to give it to me didn't even mention it. I had to pull over leaving the lot and Access my compressor and put air in my tire. They did a 21 point inspection and that was part of the inspection that they charge me for allegedly. I left Stewart Dodge Chrysler paying $500 approximately for an oil change only. I thought going to the dealer with lend professional results but boy was I wrong. While there I met another gentleman that had almost exactly the same issue with the vehicle that he brought in. Do yourself read the reviews before taking your vehicle to this rip off place. STAY AWAY FROM THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT! THEY CHARGE FOR WORK THAT WAS NOT NEEDED AND THE CAR IS STILL NOT FIXED. We brought in our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee for service because the engine light came on. The service department ran a diagnostic and they said it was the engine thermostat that needed to be replaced. It took a week to wait for the part, and $1,200, and then the work was completed. The very next day after picking up the car, the engine light came back on. We took it back in the following day and now they say the powertrain control module needs to be replaced for $1,670. When asked, why wasn't this detected in the original diagnoses, I was told the computer didn't display the error code. I asked if this is the proper diagnoses that will fix the Jeep this time and I was told they don't know and won't guarantee this will fix it. I asked if the thermostat really needed to be replaced and I was told that is what the error code said. I asked if they checked the thermostat part by putting it in boiling water to see if it opened and closed, and the response was they follow the codes. So they didn't test the part to confirm if it was the proper fix and charged me anyway. Testing a thermostat with this method is basic mechanics 101 which I would do myself when I was a kid. I asked if they thought they could fix it this time once and for all and I was told, they could not guarantee their work would fix it. So now I'm out $1,200, the Jeep is not fixed, they won't warranty their work, and they cannot diagnose what's wrong but they can guess and charge me for every guessed repair until they figure it out. read more

You can make an appointment online (very convenient) but you cannot select the "work while you wait" option. Back on March 8th 2025 we brought in our 2015 Jeep Patriot Sport to have the following basic maintenance and minor repairs done: Front tire has a minor leak. Rear door behind passenger is a little bit off balance. Fuel tank filler neck broke off. Airbag sensor light is on. Oil change light is on. Passenger front headlight needs to be replaced due to severe condensation. Front right turn signal lightbulb is out and Driver's side parking amber lightbulb is out. On April 1st we received the following text message: "Hi, I just wanted to let you know we are still waiting on "some wiring harness". We find "some wiring" to be ignorant and highly unprofessional. Don't you think? In addition; they copied and pasted the same text and re-sent on April 4th. And copied and pasted the message again on April 10th. On April 15 they are is still "hoping the "wiring" comes in that week. 92 days later the "part" finally arrived and they wrote "the vehicle is in line for R.R". It's been 3 months and a half since we dropped of our vehicle, 73 days since the elusive "some wiring" was noted as needed to repair our vehicle and nothing has materialized. My mother is bound to a wheel chair. I recently had surgery and can't lift more than 5 pounds. Can you imagine how difficult life has been for both of us to attend weekly medical appointments without a vehicle for the last 92 days over "some wiring"? read more

Sadly I've had to keep going back bc it's the only jeep dealer close to me but at this point I'm willing to pay even more to take my car elsewhere. I will preface this by saying this review is solely for the servicing department not the sales department . Services are hardly ever done in a timely manner. I once had my car there for over a MONTH because of constant set backs with the last 2 weeks being that my car just sat there because it's diesel and apparently they only had/have one diesel mechanic and he was injured. He didn't go to work for over a week so no one could work on the car. Totally not his fault or problem but how does a dealer only have 1 diesel mechanic?? Outside of that particular instance any other time I take it in, it's 8 times out of 10 never ready when they tell me it will be. Today did it for me as I had made an appointment to bring it in for an oil change and they told me to have it there at noon. I double checked the time 3 times before I got off the phone with the person who scheduled it. I show up at noon to drop it off and I'm told my appointment it's until 12:20 and the girl insisted it was 12:20 although I told her the person who scheduled it told me 12. Ok whatever no big deal, I was just dropping it off. Just take my keys and start whenever you guys want, I already figured it would be days before it was ready anyhoo. I'm told to sit and wait. I wait for 35 minutes with no one saying anything to me. At this point I go in to tell them to just take me off the schedule because that was ridiculous. I could've gone elsewhere and had my oil changed in 35 minutes. As soon as I walk into the reception desk area the girl just looks at me and doesn't even acknowledge me. Yes she was helping someone but even a quick "I'll be right with you" would be nice. She just looked over like she was annoyed that I was coming to check on why I was still waiting. I'm just standing there until another gentleman (very polite for a change) asked me if I was picking up a vehicle. I explained that I wasn't and that I was actually just trying to drop off my vehicle for servicing, but I've been waiting there for almost 40 minutes just to drop my keys off and hadn't been helped at that point. He just kind of looks over at the receptionist very confused and noticed I was very angry. I told him to just take me off the schedule as I wasn't going to have my car serviced with them anymore because of that ridiculous wait time and horrible customer service and he asked me if I wanted to reschedule which was almost comical. I told him no and I left. I will never bring my car to this dealer for any type of servicing. I don't care if I have to drive an hour away at this point I just will not bring them any kind of business. I truly don't feel like they care about their customers and I have just had way too many negative experiences to think that it was a fluke or I caught them on a bad day. Years ago there was a different young lady who worked in the service department named Malina (or Melina) and I hardly had issues when she was there and if I did have an issue, she definitely was good about keeping me informed on what was going on and doing her best to accommodate if the situation needed any accommodations. However, after she left, I have yet to have a good experience. I don't know if she was keeping the servicing department organized or what the case may be, but beware if you're bringing your car in for servicing. read more

I'm hoping this review will prevent other Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge owners from getting their cars serviced here. I had to tow my car in here on January 20th and tow it back out 10 days later with no resolution because their service department was a nightmare to deal with. I had a service appointment on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 21st but got my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee towed in on the 20th because my battery was totally dead. It was showing some weird error messages and thought it better to get diagnostics done at a dealership in case any special Mopar parts were needed. After my car was brought in, the manager of the service shop (won't include his name) told me on Tuesday that it might be a few days before they could get to it because they were super busy. Not a huge deal but I wish they had told me that prior to making the appointment and getting my car towed in. I texted the manager several days that week asking for updates and when it would finally be looked at. I called the office several times that week and always got VM, probably left 5 or 6 voicemails that week. They finally picked up the following Monday, January 27th when I pressed 4 (sales) instead of 5 (service) and directed me to someone in service's direct line. The manager finally told me he would get someone to look at my car the 26th afternoon which was a full six days after my appointment. I got a call from him a few hours later saying "we can't look at it or diagnose the issue until we put a new battery in it and run diagnostics. That'll be $860, are you good to sign off on that?" I was shocked that a new battery with even a full hour of labor could run me that much. I said no and asked him the individual costs. He told me the Mopar battery costed $512 and came with a three year warranty. The remaining $300ish was for labor to diagnose the issue. I could buy two batteries for that cost, didn't need a three year warranty with one. The last time I had my battery replaced, it cost me $250 out the door. I told the manager that I would just have the car towed to another location to get a new battery and if I needed diagnostics for a further issue, I could always bring it back. He said "sure, that'll be $500." I was really pissed off at this point. He had kept my car on the lot for a week to tell me that he couldn't even look at it until it had a new battery. Where was the $500 charge coming from if they weren't even able to turn the car on and run any diagnostics? I said something like "c'mon man you're f****** killing me here, are you serious?" He was not happy that I had used the F word, got very defensive and asked me to be professional. I apologized for using bad language, even though I was very surprised that this would upset him so much. He said a couple more things about how it was stupid for me to think that he would check out my car for free. I told him I didn't think it would be free, but he had never provided me a price besides the $39.99 for a tire rotation. He was disgruntled and basically hung up on me. 20 minutes went by and he called me back. He told me that he may have forgotten to quote me for the service of looking at my car and said it's been very busy over there, other shops in the area are closed, etc. He offered to bring the cost down to $189 to let me tow my car off the lot. I think at this point he expected me to really thank him; what a great guy letting me pay the low low cost of $189 to keep my car at the dealership for a week and tell me that he couldn't do anything until he put in a new $512 battery with a state-of-the-art three (3) year warranty! I wasn't happy but I felt pretty defeated at this point and needed my car so I agreed. I went to sleep that night feeling like an idiot (which maybe I am.) I got my car towed out a few days later after he didn't respond to further texts or calls asking to negotiate on the battery. Don't ever go here for service. They will scam you. Very poor customer service at this dealership. I bought a vehicle brand new in 2025, which turned out to have defective parts, causing the vehicle to die several times. Customer service at the dealership was very unhelpful at figuring out what to do, so I had the vehicle towed back to the dealership. No one was helping me when I called, so I went in-person, then finally the manager found my car and the paperwork thrown into a regular pile with routine maintenance vehicles. They finally took my vehicle's paperwork out and put it in a high priority pile, and I was told that I would get an update by the end of the next day. No one called me all day long the next day, so I had to call back in and speak to a manager to get an update on the vehicle. The update was simply that "they still don't know what the problem is." I was told that I would get a call the next day with an update, but again, no one called, and now my car has been in their shop for 2 full business days. Service department never answers when I call, so I had to speak to a manager again. Manager told me he would have someone call me today. The dealership refused to provide me with a rental car and said that has to be provided by Jeep customer support. This whole process has been so unprofessional and disturbing. I would never recommend anyone buy a vehicle from this location. They sold me a defective brand new vehicle and they are barely making any efforts to help me or to fix the problem. read more

Ive had so many problems at this place from my previous Jeep Cherokee 2014 to my new Jeep Shahara that I purchased 4 months ago I can mention it all. I could name all the trouble spots, but it started with no answering phones to being told by a scheduler in matianance after asking a simple question, that I HAD SCARED a CUSTOMER and she, as an employee could NO LONGER FUNCTION as her husband had left her that morning and I had CAUSED the problem by asking "HOW Long is my wait please?" WTF? They dont do service, they scrape by on what is barely necessary. I just got off the phone with a sales guy who cared less that the service department had affixed my temp plates so badly, I cant put my new plates on by myself! We've Been using Steward CDJR since we bought our 2015 Jeep Patriot Sport brand new, and every single time it takes them 3, 4, 5 months to give us our vehicle back. This last time, after 4 months of waiting to have the fuel filler neck, 4 tires, a turn signal bulb replaced and other minor items; they call us to say the Jeep is ready. But after we pay the bill and wait hours to get the car, they come to us telling us the battery died and we needed to buy a new one so we can drive it out of the dealership. Hours later, they give us the Jeep, and as soon as we turn on the vehicle, we get a flat tire warning. Apparently, they forgot to inflate one of the 4 brand new tires. The question is: why would they ignore the beeping sound and the bright flat tire signal when they drove the car to the front of the building? (It does come on immediately as soon as you turn on the ignition) Another hour later, after they filled they tire with air and we try to exit the building, we get another signal; the turn signal wasn't working, after 4 months and more than an hour to replace a lightbulb we drive home only to receive a check engine light. We had it checked and immediately they showed us a broken transmission filler tube that had been neatly tucked around the battery. They said it looked like it had been ripped manually. Was it out of spite because my husband also gave them an honest negative yelp review last time? I guess we will never know. They also showed us worn spark plugs and a leaking upper radiator hose. How did they miss the leak? The fact remains that they did not address the service properly and allowed us to leave the lot in an unsafe vehicle. Similar to the time we brought it in to have the power steering pump replaced. It turns out they didn't replace it. They probably did a Mickey Mouse Band-Aid repair type of job, because as soon as my husband got on the freeway a block away, the power steering oil leaked again and it began to burn engulfing the vehicle with smoke. I could continue describing everything they've done wrong since we've been doing business with them, but I don't want to relive the horrible experiences we've been through. They are too many to mention. I DON'T KNOW WHY MY HUSBAND KEEPS BRING IN THE JEEP THERE! Maybe he hopes they will get it right the next time, but there are other CDJR dealerships in the Bay Area. Sad to update my experience to a negative one. I've been in contact at least 3 times and the recall of my car has still yet to be resolved. I first contacted Norman in Feb of last year who said they'd contact me when the part came in. Didn't ever receive an update, but let it go since I didn't follow up and it wasn't a pressing issue. Tried again this spring because my I couldn't renew my registration without getting the recall done, and they said the part should get there in about a month. A month passes, no update from them. I had to call multiple times before someone picked up the phone. They then said the part would be there in 3 weeks. 3+ weeks have passed and still no update. I'm sad that the customer service took this big of a dip since the last time I was here. I'll be looking to go across the bay to get my car serviced from now on. read more

Service Department Purchased a 2023 Rubican 2nd owner. Love it. It is fun and a joy to drive. Broke my foot and had a plate installed thru out my service repair. A lot going on with HMO, Medical, Work and needing my jeep. John S at the service department was incredible. It was towed in from the city to Colma and I had no other transportation. John offered to send me an Uber since I had to sign in person. Once we figured every issue out then the following day I went in the hospital to have a plate removed and new one put in my foot. In a cast up to my knee no weight bearing. After waking up I had a message everything was handled and my Jeep was ready for pick-up. They fixed the stick shift and other problems. Grateful the Warranty transfer worked and figured out all the paperwork. More importantly being laid up while they were working on my jeep I had more than enough to worry about. John did it all. Incredible service. I didn't have to stress on a single thing but to get well. He even took time to call rather than text or email me as most service stations.
