I had them do oil change, alignment, installed new wheels and tires for my Chevrolet Corvette. My family and I have been customers here for 10+ years. Thank you, Yans, David, and Stewart Chevrolet!

I came in to get my tire checked and was greeted by Maria... she scanned the car and told me I needed all 4 tire sensors replaced and they were "out of stock" I was quoted 1200 for parts and labor... I went to 2 different mechanic shops and was told NONE of my sensors needed replacement and only ONE needed air in my tire. Not sure why I was told I needed new sensors if it's a FAIRLY NEW CAR(barely 11 months type of new lol) I had just gotten the oil changed and wheel alignment and they had mentioned no issues that was 2 weeks before I came in. Not sure what difference 14 days make it's not like I drive like a nascar driver and messed up the sensors LOL. So I highly recommend to check out your local mechanic before coming here.

How many visits and how many hours does it take to get a second key for an electric vehicle programmed? Answer: 2 visits and 5 hours! This is the most dysfunctional and disorganized auto shop I've ever encountered and if at all possible, recommend you go to another dealership in the area. Hopefully they are better; it wouldn't be hard. From the other reviews, it seems I'm not alone in my assessment. Which begs the question, what IS management even doin over there?? Not only that, but we only received one of two parts of this brand new fob key. So we had to order the part that allows one to put it on a keychain on Amazon (see photo for what we received vs the entire part). While we didn't order the cut key, it's part of the fob. It's just cheap to remove that, esp everything you put this customer through. And throughout, staff seemed unaware of their own process to ensure that the key and service could happen on the same day, lol, sending us on a goose chase the first time we attempted to get it and numerous transfers on the phone the second time. And on top of that, echo the comments of just general rudeness and staff convey a complete lack of care. If you are stuck with the Serramonte store, be sure to micromanage the process times two. Obviously all of this shouldn't be necessary, but you could save yourself hours of your life. For example, recommend even double checking the day of your appt that the technician is still available and the part in stock. Seriously, heed this warning! Because when attempted the second time, the technician told us we were lucky they had one more in stock. The end.

A new car for my large dog! Again Aliya is amazing !

Above and beyond!! Not only did i gain a new car which i absolutely love. Aliya was an absolute dream, and i truly felt like i gained a friend! I wanted to trade in my honda 2 door car and new i wanted just a very basic jeep that could fit my large god. Not only did aliya listen to what i wanted she was nt trying to up sale me on anything (but honestly she could sell water to a fish). Not only after closing the deal on the car, Aliya stayed in touch to make sure i was still happy with my choice... im extremely happy with my choice to go to this dealer ship, everything was so good from the test drive, signing over the car etc.

Chevy Special Coverage for known defect P2138

A dealer's first duty should be safety. Stewart Chevrolet chose profit instead. My 2018 Chevy Malibu suddenly dropped from 70 mph to 20 mph on the highway. Had I died, no one would have known why. Only later did I learn my car carries a known defect covered by GM's Special Coverage N182188250 -- the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (DTC P2138). GM's own guidance is clear: if this code appears, the repair is covered for 10 years or 150,000 miles. AutoZone's diagnostic tool confirmed the code. I brought that proof to Stewart Chevrolet. Instead of honoring GM's policy, here's how they responded: Dismissed the evidence: "P2138? That means nothing." Blamed me instead: suggested "maybe rats ate your wiring." Demanded money: $500 up front just to "diagnose" a defect GM already acknowledged. Misled me about policy: They claimed the coverage was mandated by GM, and told me to complain to GM if I disagreed. When I called GM directly, I learned the truth -- the dealer alone decides whether to honor the coverage. Knowingly put me back on the road: Even after I cited GM's policy, they refused to fix it and let me drive away in a car with a defect that could cause sudden, life-threatening failure. I know what will happen next: the owner will likely reply here claiming this was a "misunderstanding" and ask me to contact them privately. That's their usual script whenever a negative review appears. Consider this review the real story behind that script. The danger is not a misunderstanding. This is about documented facts, a known defect, and a dealer's refusal to do the right thing. If you value honesty, accountability, and your own well-being, avoid this dealership. Your life may depend on it. Update (in response to management's reply): Stewart Chevrolet's response sounds polite, but it misses the point. If this is truly about safety, then why not simply waive the diagnostic fee up front -- confirm whether the issue is covered, and if it isn't, then tell me so? That's the fair and obvious approach. Instead, Stewart demanded I risk $500 just to get them to look at a known GM defect -- even though AutoZone's scan already confirmed the exact code tied to GM's Special Coverage N182188250. This is not about "policy." It's a business decision designed to discourage customers from pursuing warranty work, leaving them to pay out-of-pocket or walk away. The bottom line: Stewart Chevrolet put profit over safety, let me drive away in a dangerous car, and tried to charge me for the privilege. That tells me everything I need to know about how they treat customers.

Little did we know, this would be the beginning of a remarkable car-buying experience. Our journey began with a warm greeting from the front desk receptionist, followed by an introduction to Tanvir, our car salesman. Tanvir stood out as one of the most approachable and professional salespeople I've ever encountered. He genuinely listened to our needs and preferences, ensuring that we felt heard and valued. Tanvir's straightforward and transparent communication style made the entire process seamless and hassle-free. Manny, Tanvir's manager, was equally friendly and accommodating. He went above and beyond to meet our requirements and provide us with the best possible service. The entire team at Lexus of Serramonte, from the car salespeople to management and even the finance manager Thomson, demonstrated exceptional professionalism and customer-centricity. I understand that car purchases can be daunting, but Tanvir, Manny, and their team transformed our experience into a breeze. Even today, Tanvir continues to follow up with us, addressing any questions we may have and ensuring that we're fully satisfied with our purchase. Whenever we're in the area, we make sure to visit Lexus of Serramonte, and Tanvir is always eager to show us the latest gadgets and features of their vehicles. In conclusion, I highly recommend Lexus of Serramonte and wholeheartedly endorse Tanvir as our car salesman. While my vehicle was in their custody, it fell from a service lift and was damaged. The repair required sectioning and welding work on the rocker panel area. Although the dealership arranged for the body repair, the overall handling of the situation was poor. The repair process took months with repeated changes to the completion date and very limited communication. I frequently had to follow up myself to get updates. Even more concerning, after the accident occurred under their control, the dealership still charged me over $350 for the original service visit and refused to offer any form of diminished value compensation for the damage caused to my vehicle. Accidents can happen, but how a business responds afterward matters. In this case there was little accountability, poor communication, and no effort to make the situation right. I hope Serramonte Volkswagen reviews their service procedures and customer care policies so future customers do not have the same experience.

We had it towed to this dealership's service department since they could take it overnight and diagnose it the next day. The diagnosis ($500) found a rear left wheel speed sensor issue and some transmission problems. Getting an actual quote from there, however, was a nightmare. Communication was our biggest frustration. Since we didn't have a car, we couldn't just show up. We were entirely dependent on phone and email. Our service advisor was a nice person, but it was incredibly difficult to: Get him on the phone Get a straight answer on costs (parts and labor) Get anything in writing To make matters worse, the service advisor mixed us up with other customers and sent our information to them. That's a pretty concerning lack of attention to detail and a privacy issue. Once we approved the work and parts were ordered, he kept giving us delivery dates that came and went without any update. We had to chase him down every time. Our car sat in their shop for 45 days. Then, the kicker. We picked up the car, and before we even got home, the ABS light came back on. The very issue we brought it in for in the first place. On top of that, the car was making a really weird scraping noise that hadn't been there before. When we returned, they diagnosed a front right wheel speed sensor malfunction and said they'd need to order the part (of course not in stock). We needed the car back for a family emergency, so we left frustrated and unresolved. When I escalated to the general manager, the response was dismissive and at times patronizing. Not what you want to hear after 45 days, poor communication, and an incomplete repair. The one bright spot was Walter, the service advisor manager, who actually listened, validated our concerns, and showed genuine empathy and understanding. Here's what really puts it in perspective. We ended up paying around $2,000 at this dealership for a 45-day ordeal that still didn't fully resolve the issue. When we took the Jeep to a local mechanic in my hometown, he was able to diagnose the problem, source the part, and install it. All in a single day, for under $150. He also identified the scraping noise as a brake plate issue and fixed it easily at no extra charge. I understand Bay Area prices are higher, but that's not a small markup. That's an enormous gap that's hard to justify given the level of service (or lack thereof) we received here. Bottom line: Disorganized, unresponsive, and overpriced. The mechanics may be fine, but the service experience was so poor that it doesn't matter. If you're a Jeep owner, I'd strongly recommend finding another shop. A dealership that specializes in your vehicle should make the process easier, not harder. This place did the opposite.

Buying a used/pre-owned vehicle seems quite the mystery most of the time, and any car purchase almost seems subject to endless hassle until you get the keys.. Enter CarMax.. Backstory: At the recommendation of a good neighbor, we decided to consider CarMax when shopping for an extra car for the family. They have a HUGE selection of vehicles at each of their locations. As with everything these days, we started with searches on all the usual car shopping websites, but CarMax seemed to have the most solid candidates worth considering. There was one car that we liked at a CarMax store located maybe 40 miles away, so we requested to have that car shipped to CarMax's Colma location - at no cost to us. After a test drive of this and another possible candidate, we decided to purchase the car, but they don't take partial deposits! That said, they could reserve a car for you for 24/48 hours, so we returned with the funds to pick it up two days later. The salespersons seem to be non-commissioned, and all were interchangeable in role and well trained to perform pretty much any part of the sales process, everything from tire-kicking mode, to closing out the sales paperwork. Practically zero up-selling during the sales process either.. Just a question about extended warranties, and that was it. Write the check, and the car is ready for you in their inbound/outbound area. SIMPLE, STRAIGHTFORWARD, ZERO HASSLE, Professional competent courteous service with a great selection of pre-owned vehicles that seem to be in pretty decent shape. PRO TIP to be aware of: These are used cars, and we found that minor cosmetic damage isn't always ALL listed on their web listings when they tend to just show one imperfect spot. Minor cosmetic damage is stuff such as curb rash or minor scrapes on the body less than 3" long. Remember, these are pre-owned vehicles, so a little bit of wear and tear is to be expected! We are happy with our purchase here, and certainly would keep CarMax on our shopping list in the future!

My license plates were put in a nice CarMax tote bag. Timothy then asked how we were getting home, we are seniors. I was going to walk a mile to Colma Bart then grab MUNI once I hit the city. Timothy treated us to a Lyft. Definitely a 5 star experience from start to finish.

I really appreciate his honesty and authenticity, especially as someone who is not knowledgeable in the automotive industry, Mike is like a lighthouse guiding me towards the best decision for me and my car. He has seen/guided me most of my car repair/troubles and for that, I am forever grateful! I know, when I go to Golden State Nissan, I'm in good hands with Mike Bagano!

A note of caution -…read more Dumb ways for a dealership to make a good sales experience less good... My wife and I purchased a new 2026 Leaf SV+ from Nissan Serramonte in December. Sales experience was fine. Salesman and sales manager both did their things competently and politely, so far so good. The trim line we purchased did not come with a cargo cover for the rear hatchback area, so we negotiated that one be added as part of the purchase. The dealership advised that they did not have one in stock, and that they would order it to arrive "soon" and would call when it was in. Still good. Two weeks later, no calls to us, so we started calling them. We were told cover was on order, it should arrive in the next few days, they would call. Sadly, no calls to us, so we called again multiple times over multiple days until (about 3.5 weeks after purchase) we are told cover has arrived, we can come in to pick it up. Not great, but still ok. Drive back over (about 30min away, each way), pick up cover in a large cardboard box, toss it in car and head back home. Now it gets weird. The cargo cover is a large flat molded piece that comes with a small bag of parts, instructions in Japanese, and no obvious way to install. Called the dealership again and were told they would install it, just bring it back in. Now it is starting to feel like a waste of time, not so great. Confirmed a time to bring it in with our salesman, confirmed it could be done while I waited, and drove back to the dealership. After arriving there I hear that: (1) installation requires drilling holes in the hatch pillars or plastic covers, that this requires some sort of printed templates, that this is a surprise, and that they will need to charge for the installation, and (2) they are really busy right now so they can either get to it in five hours, or I can schedule another time. Now I am no longer a happy customer, and thats how it goes... Use caution if you use this dealership.

Gotta love dealerships…read more... They'll rip you a new one when it comes to repairs esp with European cars. I found Atech on Yelp and used their project feature to request a quote. It also sent requests out to a few other shops, tho that part is always random, and not all of them were even close to me. Anyhow, Alex the owner responded in minutes and gave the most reasonable quote to change my BMW front brakes using OEM pads. I dropped my car off in the morning (they were working on several European cars), and it was ready by early afternoon, just as promised. Alex was honest, transparent, explained things in layman's terms, and made me comfortable as a woman who doesn't know cars. Just a heads up, in case you want to get some work done while you wait, there isn't a waiting room...just several lawn chairs near the entrance. But hey, it helps keep their overhead low, and those savings get passed on to customers!

I went and dropped it off and he GUESSED (didn't do a full diagnostic test) it was a fuel pump issue and said he's 95% it was that. Told us a certain price and after the car was done, a few days later, he called and upped the price $200 more for no reason. After 2 weeks of having my car my car didn't start AGAIN. AAA insurance came and did a diagnostic and said it was the battery needed a new one so I got one and my car sounds better and issues was solved. Alex (owner) over charges people and doesn't do a thorough job. REPLYING TO THE COMMENT(Alex): I find it very unprofessional that you as a owner / business man would put your customers name, car, family business, and bring up how much you've helped have helped them on here. First off I'm a WOMAN my name is on my yelp, I don't have to hide or lie. This is MY yelp so I get to put my opinion and experience on here. Did I feel like I got overcharged, yes from $500 as quoted the first time to $700 before picking it up. There's many mechanics that ordered things on Amazon for their customers. Other businesses owners would comment after negative reviews with " we apologize for that experience" not argue back. It's very weird how you mentioned how much you help and do for others. My experience is my experience and my opinion is my opinion.
