Weird experience. I stopped by and was instantly shadowed by a salesman. Wherever I went, he was there and it was almost like a magnet. I just wanted to look on my own, but it was OK as I was learning a lot of stuff. He asked me if I wanted to see the Armada outside and I said sure. So we took a look at two versions outside. And then I asked if I could just look at the infinity version to see what the difference was and he said he would get the key. About 8 minutes later, he didn't come back so I went inside to look for him. He apologized and said the key was not there. And then he awkwardly said that he can only show so many cars within a certain period of time. I had been there for maybe 20 minutes. I have never been brushed off like that. The salesman wasn't willing to show me a single interior of the Infiniti version of the Armada. I was polite, I didn't test drive any car, I just sat in each one and listened to him speak 98% of the time. So it seems like the sales person got talked to by a manager inside and told him not to show me the infinity version. And basically just ghosted me and not come outside until I came inside. Completely weird! How am I supposed to make an informed decision when I can't even sit in the cars I'm interested in? There were many QX80 models on the lot, so it's not like they were rare. Instead, they were offering $11K discounts and I still couldn't get to sit inside one to compare it to the Armada. Weird! I guess I'll just keep driving my Range Rover Sport. A note of caution - Dumb ways for a dealership to make a good sales experience less good... My wife and I purchased a new 2026 Leaf SV+ from Nissan Serramonte in December. Sales experience was fine. Salesman and sales manager both did their things competently and politely, so far so good. The trim line we purchased did not come with a cargo cover for the rear hatchback area, so we negotiated that one be added as part of the purchase. The dealership advised that they did not have one in stock, and that they would order it to arrive "soon" and would call when it was in. Still good. Two weeks later, no calls to us, so we started calling them. We were told cover was on order, it should arrive in the next few days, they would call. Sadly, no calls to us, so we called again multiple times over multiple days until (about 3.5 weeks after purchase) we are told cover has arrived, we can come in to pick it up. Not great, but still ok. Drive back over (about 30min away, each way), pick up cover in a large cardboard box, toss it in car and head back home. Now it gets weird. The cargo cover is a large flat molded piece that comes with a small bag of parts, instructions in Japanese, and no obvious way to install. Called the dealership again and were told they would install it, just bring it back in. Now it is starting to feel like a waste of time, not so great. Confirmed a time to bring it in with our salesman, confirmed it could be done while I waited, and drove back to the dealership. After arriving there I hear that: (1) installation requires drilling holes in the hatch pillars or plastic covers, that this requires some sort of printed templates, that this is a surprise, and that they will need to charge for the installation, and (2) they are really busy right now so they can either get to it in five hours, or I can schedule another time. Now I am no longer a happy customer, and thats how it goes... Use caution if you use this dealership. read more

I had a good first impression with this shop 2 years ago, but things have gone downhill... Took my Pathfinder in for service at 27k miles and was told my rear brakes are bad already and need replacement.... I declined service at that time because I wasn't ready to pay. Long story short I was going to inspect my brakes today and the wheel lock socket was missing from my center console. Don't think I'll ever go back. read more

Argh .... This place is sooooo frustrating. Since they closed the San Francisco location I have to drive a half hour to Colma to get a freaking $10 key fob battery. I called every one of the 10 phone #s I had in address book & the ALL said line busy! Finally, I found a # online that answered. Guy transferred me to Parts Dept. Super friendly Manuel said come right over, no appointment needed. So I braved traffic, went to Parts Desk & didn't see anyone. Rang their counter bell several times. No answer. Went to sales desk who pointed out same parts desk. Argh again. This time Manuel appeared - must have been on a break, wish they would post that at counter. Anyway, he replaced the battery in 2 minutes. Even took the time to demonstrate how to change battery myself, & walked me through the secret method of starting the car if battery dead. This is beyond ridiculous. Check this out. I got a letter from Nissan about a recall, asking me to bring my car to the service center for a free repair. Alright, fair enough. So, I called their service department on Monday, March 31st, spoke to a lady, and scheduled an appointment for April 2nd. Simple, right? I showed up at 11 AM, handed the guy my recall letter and car keys, and he started checking me in. For some reason, this process took about 20 minutes--no idea why, but whatever, I waited. Then, after 20 minutes, he finally comes out and says, "We don't have that part right now. We're going to order it and let you know when it arrives." Seriously??? Nissan, why on earth did you schedule and confirm my appointment if you didn't even have the parts in stock? That's an hour-long round trip for me, wasted time, gas, and patience, all down the drain. And hey, Nissan, since no one in your company has apparently thought of this yet, let me gift you a revolutionary business idea--for free! Ready? Try implementing a basic verification step in your scheduling process to make sure you actually have the necessary parts before confirming appointments. This can be done through software by linking your scheduling system to inventory, or, if that's too advanced, maybe just ask someone before locking in a customer's time. Mind-blowing, huh? I brought my car in ona Thursday for failure to start... diagnosis was to replace the starter & power cable estimate at $2082 (as seen in pic) they replaced the starter on Monday but my power cable still needed to be replaced they're waiting for the part it will be done the following day ( tues)...when the car was done the total bill was over $2900 ....they were trying to charge me again for the power cable saying it wasn't part of the estimate...I showed them the invoice I agreed to which stated replace the starter & power cord for $2082.. ended up paying $2368 which is still over the estimate....gonna file a complaint.... avoid this dealer for service... goto quality automotive in San bruno they do good work they're honest read more

Luckily I had a flat tire so I decided to inspect the car underneath and discovered a big mess there was oil everywhere decided to take the car to a mechanic find out the leak was from the heads of the engine. This is a horrible Nissan dealership! The managers I've had the displeasure to deal with are total liars, especially Kevin Le, the finance manager, but not only him. I was fast talked about a 2025 Versa, a nice car but too big for me and I didn't feel safe in it, very unsafe in fact as it loudly beeped when in reverse, even when nothing right behind, the brakes locked and it's too big for my garage, things I didn't know before I got it. I previously had a Honda Fit for 16 years, a great car. I got the Versa on a Friday and brought it back on Monday and manager JV said he would find a smaller car for me to trade, but told me to keep the car and drive it and try to get used to it., though I didn't want that but believed JV would get a smaller car to me that week. After calling a few days to get a status update on the smaller car Kevin Le said to come in, which I did and he said he'd find me a smaller car for a trade. I called almost daily and various people answering the phone told me Kevin was not available/busy/not there but would get back to me but Kevin never did. I also called Kevin's cell phone, emailed him and Nissan and texted, but no call backs ever. The last times I called I was literally hung up on when they saw my name! Even one employee going into Kevin's office w/my call and then the phone cut off--hung up on me! Also, important to note that John who initially showed the Versa and was trying to help me get the smaller car is suddenly gone, lost his job. Plus JV is gone, so seems they were fired maybe for trying to help this customer. I said I wanted and needed to buy a car partly because I am taking care of a close relative, sick with medical and life needs who doesn't drive so depends on me for so much. I was approved immediately for a bank car loan and gave Kevin a high DP, so should not be treated so badly. This is a warning to never buy from this sleazy dealership! read more

We bought our Nissan car (Ariya) with a decent trade-in price for our used Leaf. Our sales rep was Doc. He was great from start to finish. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We liked that Doc was not at all pushy. He is the reason we went with the Ariya too. Also, Nissan has a great program for electric cars as they send a technical support person to your home to answer more questions you might have afterwards. So I was asked to give. review before the whole car buying process was done and i rated the sales kid a 5 originally. This updated rating would be a 1 if it wasn't for Juan our sales guy. He was nice. I think the bad seeds are in finance. I won't blame the first guy because it was supposedly his first day in that dept and was definitely listening to his boss. He asked to run credit when we were paying cash. I told him I would walk over it because there is no reason to run credit when paying by cashiers check: He went and verified and said I was correct. So I think that is done. They try to hard sell i. warranties and extras, which is typical. But this is one of the first red flags. We are back with the sales guy and he comes with a piece of paper with the amount for the cashiers check. I told him I wanted to see the itemized statement because with tax according to my calculations it should $58 something plus license. The paper says over $65k. So he comes back with the itemized and it's $7k less. I didn't ask where that extra $7k went but it's totally sus. I went and got the check and we had to site and wait at least 40 minutes to finish with the finance guy. He starts going over the final stuff and presents the credit report. Yes the same credit report I specifically said not to run. He said the manager did it so I asked the guy's name and he didn't want to tell me but then he said it was Medhi. I was so pissed but we did get a good deal on the car because it was a new 2023 and there were a lot of rebate/incentives. so at that point I just wanted out of there. Driving the drive home I was ahead and I noticed one headlight was too bright and probably positioned wrong. I called to talk to Juan but the guy who answered m, 'V', just said for me to bring it in the next day to service. I asked if I needed an appt he said no. I still called the next day and asked. I told them 'V' from sales said to just show up and they told me that I needed an appointment. It was taken care of, but this last little story is just to show again incorrect info from sales. VERY RUDE SALES ASSOCIATE!!! I was so disappointed with one of the Sales Associate who always likes to charge his car at the fast charging machine. First, he kicked me out of the fast charging machine and was told that it will take about 15 minutes to charge, so I've waited, but he didn't come until after 30 minutes and after that, when a car was trying to borrow the charger to charge 4% on their car, he let them borrow it, when he knows that I was there waiting for him right next to him, he did not even put the charger back in my car. What a big time A**HOLE right? Second, when I went another day to charge, I was there first waiting for the other guy to finish charging, because he was there first and after awhile, he just got there and look at the monitor to see how many more percent before the guy gets done. I saw the guy leaving, so I was trying to go to his spot, when that same rude Sales Man tried to take the plug from the machine to put it in his car. I told him, I was there first waiting. He didn't even bother to asked if he can borrow the charger, he just took it very rudely!!! And he started to asked me this questions... "if I bought the car there and who is my Sales Associate and Manager?" I told him YES! I bought the car there and the people there helped me. I was told from the very beginning, before I bought this car that I can charge it there for FREE, but I didn't know that there's one Sales Associate there who always wants to charge at the fast charger and doesn't even want other people to charge there, but him. Customer who bought a non-Nissan vehicle: Customer service was excellent until I paid and signed the contracts. It then became extremely hard to talk to someone, get information, and ask questions. Their voicemail is "full" and calls are not returned even if the front desk agent says so. Purchasing the car went smoothly. I had a list of things I wanted done after the purchase. None of them were delivered upon. Even the small things like getting a replacement key fob since all the buttons were broken. Sales people turn over very quickly here. A year later and no one from when I purchased my car is here, so there's no chance of getting things fixed from the original agreement. Service is also hard because they don't have parts on hand for a non-Nissan vehicle. The first time I took my car for service they drove it to a dealership in East bay to get fixed. I paid for the gas and the toll. I like my car and feel I got "lucky" because it didn't have any major issues after I bought it like other reviews. Apparently there's a whole new team here that's better, hence the two star review, in hopes they can turn things around. read more

Do NOT bring your car here to get serviced. I took my car here to get a simple oil change and when I picked it up, there was black overspray paint on all 4 of my rims. Initially I thought it was just the dirt coming off the tires during the wash but later found out it was not coming off. I tried everything including power washing it and no luck. I took the car back to the dealership and of course they denied everything and even suggested that it was there to begin with. They gave me the run around of "we only use soap and water" "there's no proof that we caused this." "nothing we can do" So basically I'm shit out of luck. They caused this issue and refused to admit it and do anything about it. They even had the audacity to suggest I make an appointment with their detailer and charge me to get the paint out. Spent 3k here on various upkeep for my vehicle. Only to get my keys back without a keychain that my late grandmother had gifted me. Aside the sentimental value, keychain could not have been more than $15 itself. Nissan said they'd work with me to make it right, but the dealership never followed up. Pathetic response to something going missing while it was in their possession. Unless you want to risk something not being returned to you, I'd work with another Nissan dealer, that is my plan for future work anyways. Super disappointed. read more

I recently went to have service for my 2017 Murano (09/30/2024) at Golden State Nissan. I had new back brakes with the rotors turned and the oil change service, they told me it would be done in three hours or less, and it took them five hours. I had an extended warranty through April 2024 and my last service less than five months ago (5/06/2024) and I had inspections every time and had no issues at all except for the regular services I needed to do. Now all of a sudden in between my last service & now, I have all these issues that came up all at once but were not existent before. After the end of this recent services of the brake job and the oil change, they told me I had a whole ton of issues that I had to have repaired with the cost of over $11,000. They've been constantly begging me to sell my vehicle to them and traded in for a new one since the pandemic and now all of a sudden there's all these issues with it that they say cost over $11,000 and I don't believe that it needs all this and if it does, they purposely waited to tell me until after my warranty expired to get me to pay out an excessive amount or trade it in. The cost of over $11,000 is excessive, this vehicle has had the correct maintenance all this time and only has 73,000 miles on it. Golden State Nissan is dishonest and terrible. I will never use their service again nor purchase anything from them. read more

Terrible scheduling experience. My car has an issue that only occurs in the mornings. The advisor recommended I leave the car so that they can see the issue the next morning. I couldn't leave my car that day so I rescheduled. The second time I came was on a Friday at 3pm. A different advisor tells me to reschedule because: 1. It was 3pm and getting late. This is infuriating because the first advisor said that time would be fine. I did not expect the issue to be resolved within the same day. I intended to leave my car there overnight but the second advisor did not give me the opportunity to explain. 2. The upcoming Saturday was busy and full. He recommended coming before 1pm on weekdays for my specific issue. If that's the case, the first adviser should've told me. 3. He kept insisting that he doesn't work on Saturdays. I don't understand why this was such a big deal but he kept emphasizing this. He wouldn't give my case to another advisor. All of this could've been prevented. I explained why I was coming when I booked the appointment online. They could've told me all of this prior to my visit. This is not the first time. One time my appointment didn't register in their system even though I had an email confirmation. read more

Being new to the Nissan brand, I just purchased a Nissan Leaf from Golden State Nissan in Colma. As for the whole "car dealership" vibe, I can't say enough about how laid back and EASY the entire process of purchasing my vehicle was. Diego was my sales guy and will be my go to from now on. When he didn't have an answer to a question he answered honestly and said he didn't know. He didn't try to "sell" me on the car or pressure me into buying it. Because of his approach, I decided immediately after test driving to purchase it. Enter Nekko, the sales manager....same quality service and approach. He wasn't hard sell in your face and worked the numbers to make sense for the both of us! Then into finance...Sergey was down to earth and we got in and out with ease. I got EVERYTHING I wanted...which is rare in a dealership..... Moving on to service....the Leaf is a fully electric vehicle and needed the VCM update. Made an appointment, discussed my service plan with Marcus and was told it would be a few hours....Marcus immediately set up a Lyft for me and told me when it was done he would do the same. The whole service went off without a hitch! Couldn't be more happier with the OVERALL, outstanding service in sales and service at this dealership. Nearest Nissan service center to SF. Been here twice so far and had a good experience. They let you book appointments online and you can see prices there as well. You drive in, leave the car and tell them which service package you want. They'll try to upsell you a bit (car dealership style) but the staff is not very pushy. They take a couple of hours to finish servicing. They have a decent sitting space with WiFi. There's a Philz five mins walk from there and a neat bagel place as well. Nothing that'll blow your mind but they'll get the job done hassle free. read more
