So many cars, but they weren't willing to let me see the interior of the Infinity version of the Armada. How strange.
    Sam D.

Weird experience. I stopped by and was instantly shadowed by a salesman. Wherever I went, he was there and it was almost like a magnet. I just wanted to look on my own, but it was OK as I was learning a lot of stuff. He asked me if I wanted to see the Armada outside and I said sure. So we took a look at two versions outside. And then I asked if I could just look at the infinity version to see what the difference was and he said he would get the key. About 8 minutes later, he didn't come back so I went inside to look for him. He apologized and said the key was not there. And then he awkwardly said that he can only show so many cars within a certain period of time. I had been there for maybe 20 minutes. I have never been brushed off like that. The salesman wasn't willing to show me a single interior of the Infiniti version of the Armada. I was polite, I didn't test drive any car, I just sat in each one and listened to him speak 98% of the time. So it seems like the sales person got talked to by a manager inside and told him not to show me the infinity version. And basically just ghosted me and not come outside until I came inside. Completely weird! How am I supposed to make an informed decision when I can't even sit in the cars I'm interested in? There were many QX80 models on the lot, so it's not like they were rare. Instead, they were offering $11K discounts and I still couldn't get to sit inside one to compare it to the Armada. Weird! I guess I'll just keep driving my Range Rover Sport. The dealership was not busy at all. Maybe 1 customer.

Argh .... This place is sooooo frustrating. Since they closed the San Francisco location I have to drive a half hour to Colma to get a freaking $10 key fob battery. I called every one of the 10 phone #s I had in address book & the ALL said line busy! Finally, I found a # online that answered. Guy transferred me to Parts Dept. Super friendly Manuel said come right over, no appointment needed. So I braved traffic, went to Parts Desk & didn't see anyone. Rang their counter bell several times. No answer. Went to sales desk who pointed out same parts desk. Argh again. This time Manuel appeared - must have been on a break, wish they would post that at counter. Anyway, he replaced the battery in 2 minutes. Even took the time to demonstrate how to change battery myself, & walked me through the secret method of starting the car if battery dead. So 1 star for nobody answering the phone. 5 stars for Manuel

Adrian was helpful helping me find a car. He was considerate of what I am looking for. Carlos (GM) helped me through the process. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Kevin from finance helped me finalize my paperwork and did not pressure me to buy anything extra. Great experience at Golden Gate Nissan

Little did we know, this would be the beginning of a remarkable car-buying experience. Our journey began with a warm greeting from the front desk receptionist, followed by an introduction to Tanvir, our car salesman. Tanvir stood out as one of the most approachable and professional salespeople I've ever encountered. He genuinely listened to our needs and preferences, ensuring that we felt heard and valued. Tanvir's straightforward and transparent communication style made the entire process seamless and hassle-free. Manny, Tanvir's manager, was equally friendly and accommodating. While my vehicle was in their custody, it fell from a service lift and was damaged. The repair required sectioning and welding work on the rocker panel area. Although the dealership arranged for the body repair, the overall handling of the situation was poor. The repair process took months with repeated changes to the completion date and very limited communication. I frequently had to follow up myself to get updates. Even more concerning, after the accident occurred under their control, the dealership still charged me over $350 for the original service visit and refused to offer any form of diminished value compensation for the damage caused to my vehicle. Accidents can happen, but how a business responds afterward matters. In this case there was little accountability, poor communication, and no effort to make the situation right. I hope Serramonte Volkswagen reviews their service procedures and customer care policies so future customers do not have the same experience.

We had it towed to this dealership's service department since they could take it overnight and diagnose it the next day. The diagnosis ($500) found a rear left wheel speed sensor issue and some transmission problems. Getting an actual quote from there, however, was a nightmare. Communication was our biggest frustration. Since we didn't have a car, we couldn't just show up. We were entirely dependent on phone and email. Our service advisor was a nice person, but it was incredibly difficult to: Get him on the phone Get a straight answer on costs (parts and labor) Get anything in writing To make matters worse, the service advisor mixed us up with other customers and sent our information to them. That's a pretty concerning lack of attention to detail and a privacy issue. Once we approved the work and parts were ordered, he kept giving us delivery dates that came and went without any update. We had to chase him down every time. Our car sat in their shop for 45 days. Then, the kicker. We picked up the car, and before we even got home, the ABS light came back on. The very issue we brought it in for in the first place. On top of that, the car was making a really weird scraping noise that hadn't been there before. When we returned, they diagnosed a front right wheel speed sensor malfunction and said they'd need to order the part (of course not in stock). We needed the car back for a family emergency, so we left frustrated and unresolved. When I escalated to the general manager, the response was dismissive and at times patronizing. Not what you want to hear after 45 days, poor communication, and an incomplete repair. The one bright spot was Walter, the service advisor manager, who actually listened, validated our concerns, and showed genuine empathy and understanding. Here's what really puts it in perspective. We ended up paying around $2,000 at this dealership for a 45-day ordeal that still didn't fully resolve the issue. When we took the Jeep to a local mechanic in my hometown, he was able to diagnose the problem, source the part, and install it. All in a single day, for under $150. He also identified the scraping noise as a brake plate issue and fixed it easily at no extra charge. I understand Bay Area prices are higher, but that's not a small markup. That's an enormous gap that's hard to justify given the level of service (or lack thereof) we received here. Bottom line: Disorganized, unresponsive, and overpriced. The mechanics may be fine, but the service experience was so poor that it doesn't matter. If you're a Jeep owner, I'd strongly recommend finding another shop. A dealership that specializes in your vehicle should make the process easier, not harder. This place did the opposite.

As I left here about nine years ago, a friend who just partnered in a new business bought the van from me for price that CarMax priced it. Fast forward to now, my brother's friend made an appointment to bring my brother's van. Sharing all of the pertinent information with them online, we walked in a little after their 10 am opening time on a Wednesday morning. Our greeter asked how he could help us and led us to business office counter and helped us check in for our appointment. We found seats in the waiting area and listened for our names to be called. A few minutes later, we gave them the van key, my driver's license, the pink slip, and vehicle registration. We told him where the van was parked and someone inspected the car to verify the information the friend provided. They confirmed the quoted price given to the friend and asked us to wait as they finished the paperwork. We were called to a desk where we signed documents including the pink slip turning ownership of the van to them. All told, we were in and out of there in 30 minutes as the greeter gave as his estimate. Thanks to the greeter whose name I didn't catch and the various people who helped with our transaction. Big thanks to Timothy who initiated our appointment and guided me in signing all of the paperwork.
