I gather they began in Saratoga Springs, NY, and moved into Vermont, as well. We tried this one across the street from the Saratoga Springs Hilton where we stayed, and it was very clean inside (according to my husband who went inside). I had also read they have terrific ice cream, so guess what, we tried some. I stupidly left it up to my husband to "surprise me," and while they are known for amazing flavor choices, and thinking he KNOWS how I like unusual and interesting flavors, he walks out with a mix of vanilla and chocolate. Are you kidding me? It was especially difficult for me to keep my mouth shut because I was pissed off, but he was kind enough to get it for me and bring it out, so I could just wait in the car. I have to say, though, I quickly went from anger at the boring ice cream flavors to extreme enjoyment because it was some of the BEST vanilla and chocolate ice cream I had ever eaten. Truly delicious. I was definitely thinking we'd get some different flavors at other Stewart's Shops in the ensuing days of our travels, but as many as we ended up seeing along our way, we never did stop at any. Don't know why, but we didn't, and so, this was our only time to enjoy their wonderful ice cream !! Next time we are in the area of a Stewart's Shop, I will make sure we can get more ice cream. It's divine.

Of all the Stewarts in downtown Saratoga, this is my favorite. It's bigger inside, which makes more…read moreroom for additional shelving of junk food. The ceilings are high and the parking lot is shaded, giving it an oddly stately ambience. And it's less crowded so more chance to grab a seat when I come in for my deli dogs. (though there's also less seating... minus one star for that.) If you're in town for a convention, go across the street and savor a scoop of local history. Stewart's headquarters is nearby in Greenfield, and the Dake family is a big supporter of local groups and activities.

There is also a large selection of convenience items as well as some groceries. Some stores have gas. The bathrooms are clean. After a recent visit to Connecticut with friends, all four of us were wishing for Stewarts after seeing the dirty bathrooms off of 684 and even a Dunkin without a bathroom. I'm writing this review due to my recent experience at the newly renovated Sunoco/A+ convenience store. I went in last Friday evening after an extremely long day. I had seen that they had a very large beer collection and I was looking to take home a single bottle of Guiness (due to a hankering acquired from an earlier conversation). Turns out that they don't carry Guiness, however....they have a HUGE beer fridge...and....wait for it.....an entire "to go" tap beer situation. I was smitten. One of the people that worked there showed me the whole set up and successfully sold me a membership...I couldn't say no. Details: purchase a growler of any beer (I had the Davidsons Oatmal Stout) and receive 2 pint glasses. The first growler was free and the next time I go, I'll get the "club card". Buy 10, get the 11th free...something like that. There are a bunch of locally crafted beers available and I finished my growler in a couple of days (thankfully with the help of friends). This convenience store should be called "vice central". GREAT beer options, a ridiculous choice of smoking stuff...plus lottery tickets, sodas, sugary snacks, salty chips....all of the packaged crap that none of us should eat. So, if you want to take home a freshly poured beer and you're not close to any of the local brew pubs, the Sunoco station is an option.

The crew that they've have in…read morethere for about 8 months now has been some of the greatest, energetic crew this Cumberland farms has seen! Service is top level. The grill always is full, pizza made, warmed nuts ready. Coffee is switched out regularly and they keep up with the cherry flavor on the drink machine. If you have the smart rewards, they give you a great discount on fountain beverages and your points add up giving considerable value in rewards spending. Their app also makes pumping gas simple. Just need to type in the pump and you're ready to go! The employees are what makes this store top-shelf - Clifton, Joan, Skip, Elizabeth to name a few!! They make going there so pleasant.

I usually come to this store just for gas. That's not because I don't like their grocery/dairy…read moreitems, it's because I tend to buy those in the Stewart's shops closer to (mom's) home. The gas here is currently billed as Shell, which is unusual for the area. That's because (a) Most Stewart's shops don't list a brand of gas (and you don't always know from where they're getting it), and (b) the other gas stations the Stewart's company owns in the area are typically Mobil. The gas here is priced comparably to the stations along Route 50 in the Wilton area, such as near the shopping centers. Their lure has been to honor the Price Chopper/Market 32 Advantage Card discount. This is a convenient spot to get basic groceries without having to deal with any of the "big box" grocery stores in the Wilton shopping area, and I think a lot of people already know that. Navigating the parking lot can get crazy sometimes. You've got parking spaces around the shop, and additional spaces on the outside of the lot, plus all the cars pulling in and out for gas. Mind you, that's entering and exiting on both NY50 and Jones Road. Navigate carefully.

This location doesn't have made-to-order subs but does have pre-made subs (in the cooler) as well as pizza slices, hot dogs, etc. Of course it also has all the rest you would expect at a Stewart's. There are 6 tables inside and 4 outside, 2 of which are off to the side by some trees. There are 6 gas pumps. It has a big parking lot with lots of spaces around the side.

This is a fairly modern and convenient Stewart's, with the items and quality you would expect on…read morethe inside. I'm not as enthusiastic about the outside, however, and by that I mean the gasoline. When a Stewart's Shop does not have any immediate competition, they tend to have a price scheme for their gasoline of "whatever they can get." (The closest gas station is a Cumberland Farms about 1 mile south on US 9, but they probably already know anyone with a membership discount card will be going there anyway). I came here because I was low on gas, and I got just enough so that I could get to a Stewart's in a different area (Ballston Spa). Gas at this particular one was 13 cents a gallon more expensive than the one in Ballston. So, as I've said in reviews for other Stewart's Shops - get your gas someplace cheaper, and then bring your savings here to get the food and dairy products that you like.

Our son loves their Italian ice so much - he gets it each time. The kids sundae was the perfect size and can be made with both soft and hard ice creams. They have a large tree in the back that often the children flock to and play different games - it's nice to have somewhere to run around at there. It makes you feel like you're not on route 9. If it's raining, they have a tented area with glistening string lights, which can make for a romantic night out with the kids too. This was a great experience and have always had helpful employees!

I often get a sundae with twist ice cream, peanut butter sauce and hot fudge. Their peanut butter is delicious, it has a real peanut butter taste unlike other ice cream places in the area. We have also tried their edible cookie dough sundaes which are also fantastic. The only reason we don't get them more often is just because it's so decadent. They must have recently changed to also accept cards rather than just cash so that's convenient. The staff is always friendly and makes your ice cream quickly. My only complaint would be that the menu is a little overwhelming and hard to follow but as long as you have a general idea of what you want it doesn't really matter that much.
