Scheduled an appointment the night before. Come 20 minutes after the time of appointment, I called and they said driver on his way. Shortly after that, the driver called and said he just got the job and will be another hour or two. How would he "just get notified of the job" when we scheduled it with the company the night before. I'm not angry at the driver... just at the stupid customer service rep who continues to say "due to weather or road conditions we cannot guarantee the time of arrival". Which again has nothing. So I called to complain and they put me on hold for 10 minutes... so I hung up. Called again and they said they cancelled the job. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY... THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU. read more

Stewart's towed my car from the scene of my car accident. They were able to do the work on the car as well. Everything was handled so well. They coordinated with the insurance company adjuster, and the work on the car was great. It looks brand new again. They kept in touch with me every step of the way. Juan the driver told my daughter that there was a $50 fee that was unpaid by roadsid assistance. When she didn't have the $50, he told her he could give her his employee discount. ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THE TOW IS 100% COVERED BY MY ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. Long story short their employee scammed my daughter out of $28. My first piece of advice, is that if you are driving on a dirt road the day after a heavy rain storm, and there are muddy ruts and puddles, turn around immediately and find a different route. My second piece of advice, is that if you have ignored my first piece of advice, and your car gets stuck in sucking mud that is swallowing it alive, call Stewart's towing! Although I am ashamed about it, I decided to post a photo of the poor driving decision I made, so that everyone can see the unpleasant situation that Stewart's towing rescued me from. They gave me an estimated wait time of one hour, but they showed up in less than 40 minutes, which was really nice. It was already getting dark when I got my vehicle stuck, so they had to extract me in pitch dark at 9:00 pm. The tow truck had really good bright lights and the drivers, Alec and John, wore headbands with lights as well. Alec and John worked hard to pull my car out of the mud trap. They definitely knew what they were doing and are skillful and experienced tow truck operators. They are both polite and good natured besides, which I appreciate a lot! I was pretty upset with myself for getting into this situation to begin with, but Alec and John told me funny stories and actually had me laughing and cheered me up. If I could give negative stars I genuinely would. Terrible towing experience. They broke multiple parts of my c ar and refused to fix it. Once they did fix it they did a half-ass job to fix it. You do not play around with motorized vehicles. God forbid the "fixed" car spun out due to a shitty work job and killed me or someone else on the road. Very very upset with this service. AAA sent Stewart's for service - to tow my car to mechanic shop. After about 2&1/2 hours and my calls to AAA truck arrived at 2:56. Driver declined to take me with him although AAA asked specifically if I'll go with car. Truck left at 3:08. After 5 PM shop repeatedly told that my car had not been delivered & closed at 7 PM. AAA informed that in their system my car was shown as delivered but was unable to provide any particular information. I called Stewart's Towing & was immediately put on hold. I patiently waited for 25+ minutes and called again & was immediately put on hold again. I tried several times with the same results. Later was told that police was there and even got apologizes. So at 8:33 PM I was told that my car had not been delivered yet. That means the car with potential frame damage had been put off and on at least twice without my consent. read more

What a joke your battery guy is, pretty sure his name is Joe. Wishing I could give no stars ....but obviously I cant. He gives inaccurate arrival times . He's completely rude and not thorough by any means. Tuesday he told me my issue was the battery. Today he changed his answer and apparently the battery is fine. After making me wait out in the heat with an arrival time of 1030, for nearly an hour , he finally showed up after multiple calls. I got no ETA messages, the only reason I knew it was supposed to be 1030 was from the AAA app. Didn't get any confirmation of service request messages either. He kept saying he'd be here any second and 10 minutes would go by before the AAA rep would call me back to ask if he had arrived. Upon his arrival, aside from being a rude prick he said that I needed to replace the cable , but the cable was fine. I had already cleared that with my mechanic. I called AAA back when he refused to change out the battery and was transferred to a supervisor. He began to leave and I advised the supervisor. She asked me to request he stay on scene until we spoke with his supervisor . He refused and got in his truck to take off. I wouldn't recommend Stewart's to my worst enemy . Good thing I wasn't stuck somewhere . Dont bother with these guys for a battery replacement. Youd have better luck playing 52 pick-up with your buttcheeks. read more

I waited 24 hours before writing this to make sure that I wasn't just writing in anger. Well, here it is. Hillsborough Township, please stop doing business with Stewart Towing. There was a car accident, my young daughter. Obviously distraught, a little banged up, but ok. My wife went to meet her at the scene. Stewart Towing company was summoned to the scene, presumably by Hillsborough PD. We asked the towing company to tow the car to a Hillsborough body shop. That's when things went sideways. Dealing with them was worse than the accident itself. They told us that if he towed the car to his yard "insurance would pay for it". But if it was towed elsewhere that we would have to pay. I have no issues paying for services received. But how he would know what insurance would cover without any knowledge of what insurance coverage is in place, who is at fault, not mention not being a licensed insurance professional is beyond my comprehension. I'm sure the department of consumer affairs would be interested to know these people are doling out insurance advice without a license, but I digress. Obvious to me a ploy to have the vehicle towed to his yard to rack up daily storage fees. When we confirmed that we wanted the car taken to a body shop (I mean, why would anyone simply want it towed to a yard only to be towed AGAIN later to a body shop?) that's when things went really sour. He would not accept payment unless someone met him at the body shop to pay. My wife and daughter could not leave the scene as they were still working with police. On the phone I offered him a credit card for the charges. He wouldn't take it because he said he couldn't charge us until the tow was complete. I asked if he could charge the card when he arrived at the body shop, he said no, someone needed to meet him there. My wife explained that we could not leave the scene of the accident until the police activity was complete. He tells us, he's "not going to wait at the body shop for 20 minutes" and if we don't get there to pay him he will take the car to his yard. What a prince. Thankfully we were able to call the body shop who was very helpful. They wrote him a check to send him on his way. When I can vote with my wallet I will obviously never call them for a tow myself. But what I want to know is what Hillsborough official decides to do business with these people and forcibly impose this garbage on the taxpayers??!!! That decision should be re-considered. read more

I recently had an issue with my vehicle where the transmission no longer engaged gears and left my vehicle in neutral. Upon scheduling a tow via AAA I was promptly helped out by Stewart's Towing. Justin, the driver, was super cool and knowing that my vehicle had been modified he was extremely careful and prepared to get the vehicle onto the flat bed. Not a single scrape, rub, or issue was experienced as Justin aligned the ramp perfectly to the front end of the car and used planks place in front of the wheels to ensure my front bumper did not encounter any damage. The vehicle was secured perfectly and upon arriving home the same care and caution was taken in order to pull the vehicle off and placed directly into the garage. I broke down, 9:30am, and called triple A. They originally sent a reject towing company "Edison Auto Shit Shit" that took 7 hours to get to me, calling every half hour telling me they were on the way and then delaying once again. At 4:00pm I called triple A to complain and then they sent me "Stewart's Towing", a gift from God. Aaron, the best driver, saved the day. If you're single, call him, he's the best! They stated the car was undriveable and would bring it to their yard temporarily while we find a local body shop . When we called to obtain our vehicle the same day we were then told we would have to pay an additional 325 dollars plus 125 to tow to the body shop and had to be there in person to pay.. Well I wasnt too excited to pay $125 for a mile tow, but that was their local rate. They showed up within 15 minutes, though the estimate was closer to an hour. The gentleman took pictures of the car, and I went on my way. He was extremely nice, and professional. These are worst of all the guys. If there was a minus category, I would have not hesitated to give them a one star, very unprofessional, rude, will hold you for a ransom. The guy has zero empathy or understanding. one rant when he shows up money, more money and extra money. Cheez, seems he has not seen green dollars for years in his business making. Worst of all, its a bait and switch. What they tell you over phone and when they arrive at the point of tow, expect to hear a higher amount and that too with some vain reasons. From my experience, Stewart's towing is unprofessional. They are rude and have very poor business ethics behaviors. What a crazy way to conduct a business. Basically they hold your property hostage until you pay a huge ransom. A woman kept shouting at me, and finally admitted that the reason was because she was having a bad day (her husband was in a hospital). I would avoid this place at all costs. Do not waste your time with this company -- there are many decent tow companies out there with appropriate manner. Stewart's towing should not be in service business in my opinion. read more
