We enjoyed a lovely Sunday inaugural jazz session over the past weekend. It is a warm, welcoming spot in a small welcoming town ! Everyone coming in out of the cold seemed familiar with each other, but also eager to talk to us strangers. I do wish I lived right up in town, as I would frequent Still Partners for their robust music scene and warm hospitality. We started off with a Jägermeister on the rocks and a well made rye Manhattan up. Later moving on to a fav..bottled La Chouffe Blond Ale. I loved the Napa Cabbage salad and would recommend that they add cashews & shredded chicken as an option to make this a robust salad. read more

What an incredible bar! One of the owners, Dan, is such an awesome guy! He was playing in the band and conversing with all of the patrons. The bar is awesome with live music and great food! Came in with friends and we had a bunch of apps. All delicious and better than any bar food I've ever had! That's the kind of food you can only hope for at a bar!! Was one of the few bars that I liked on the north shore. But after today, I will not be back. There was a guy in there proudly displaying a confederate flag jacket. All the staff saw it and said nothing. Patrons seemed to appreciate him and his jacket. I was shocked and saw a couple come in, see the jacket and walk out. I left after 30 mins, was waiting to see if staff would do anything. Screw this bar and Sea Cliff is supposed to be so progressive. read more

Great food, comfortable atmosphere, wonderful service, and on a late Sunday afternoon/early evening, pretty much your only choice in this tiny little town. Mixed crowd, some football viewers, some like us just in there to grab a bite to eat on a relaxed weekend. Fast service, a great window seat (luck!!) and some of the best "bar food" I've had in a while!! We enjoyed our sweet potato veggie burgers with spinach, kale salad, quesadillas w/fries, and some wonderful local pumpkin cider. Someone at the table next to us had a yummy-looking fish and chips special, which we were wishing we had heard about, but we were happy with our choices. The owner himself (still a partner!?!) came to check how we were doing, and seemed like he was genuinely happy to have us there, and seemed to enjoy what he does. They seem to have great live music here pretty regularly, looks like we missed out on a great show the night before!! Nice spot in the middle of a fun, scenic N. Shore village. Friend ordered their burger medium well, it came out medium rare, but was a perfect basic pub burger (I like mine medium rare anyway). Fries were crispy and delicious. I ordered the steaky sandwich, one of the pricier items on the menu at $17 and it came out cold, with unmelted gruyere cheese. My friend and I switched entrees. Music was mostly classic rock (Metallica, Toto, Creedance). Rock bar with an elevated menu, family restaurant during the day. Affordable and fair quality for the area. read more

This review is for the beers and the band! Invited to hang with friends and family of Moe Greene ( the band not the guy that made his bones while I was not dating cheerleaders) Saturday night was the right choice. Arrived casually late for the 8 o'clock set, that actually started at 8:40. Diners finishing their meals allowing for no rush at the bar as I perused the decent tap selection. Started the night with a nice fresh Road 2 Ruin (DIPA 8 ABV) served in a tulip, switched up to a pint of a single and finished with another Two Roads. Around 9 O'clock on a Saturday, the regular crowd shuffled in. An eclectic crowd, families with kids staying after dinner, young adults and my contemporaries, coming for the tunes. Everyone was just genuinely open and friendly, even though I was a new face in the crowd. The band was excellent, notches above most of the LI cover bands ( I might be biased because every song was on my playlist). As others mentioned, I ducked out for a breath of air between sets and when I returned, I met with "the man with the bucket". No pressure when he realized I had been there for a few hours already. Kudos to the hardworking staff, especially when I closed my tab early for safety since my DD Lisa E. is away and was offered immediately a glass of water to keep my hands busy and my self hydrated. So the second place I went to in this wonderful beautiful little town called Sea Cliff is Still Partners. Yes, it is a bar.... but the food here is excellent. The baby back ribs were delicious, I have been to many restaurants that specialize in BBQ and the ribs here are far more delicious. The skirt steak sandwich with gouda and grilled onions is my favorite. Please patronize this small business owner. The waitress was rude. We called and was told the kitchen closes at 9:50. Ok we thought. We got there at 9:25pm. We sat and the waitress said you ordering food we said yes. She said Jesus and Walked away. Came back and slammed the menus on the table and said order quick before the kitchen closes with an attitude and roller her eyes. Didn't say hello, didn't ask what we would like to drink. We got up and left. She was a miserable person and shouldn't work in the hospitality business. read more

Great Food, Great People! Gentleman at the front door ID us because a band was playing - atleast they check right? Fried pickles were tasty - I prefer pickle chips though. Crab Cake with Stringbeans were amazing. They give more crab less breading - not sure if homemade or not though. String beans were crunchy and good! Honey mustard fried chicken was decent - tasted weird though - maybe I just don't like the combo. Coronas will run you $7 a pop. Service was great. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. Thursday's Saturday's and one other night have live music so they say. Good stuff. Overall: Tasty bar food and more than good service ! read more

We used to come to the original Partners years ago when it was the cute nautical dive bar and we were barely legal. After the beach last summer, my best friend and I, decided to pop in for a drink to relive old memories (10 years later). We walked in and sat at the bar, we looked around and it looked nothing like it used to. We ordered a drink and asked for a menu. We looked it over, we weren't very hungry so we just ordered and appetizer, drank, ate and left. Last Friday we were looking for somewhere new to go and Still Partners popped in my head. We went with our boyfriends and we all loved it. The food was very good, the atmosphere was fun and the band was great! It's a really really nice place and we will definitely be back! We had the Kentucky Fried Movie, Grandmah Chicken, Yesterday's News, Skirt Steak and the Shrimp Potstickers for an app. Everything was delicious. Came with a few friends to see Black Tie brass, a jazz group. We were greeted at the door very nicely, small cover charge for the band, happily paid for live music. The waitress was really nice as well and although there maybe could have been a couple more choices for 'bar bites' what we had was very good. I would def come here again! read more

I'll preface this with I tend to not write Yelp reviews. I usually find most places I visit a 3-4 star. My boyfriend and I were SO excited to eat and drink at still partners. We've been waiting months to try it here. Sat at the bar to drink a beer and wait for our 3rd guest. Once I noticed the tables were filled quickly, I asked the waitress if I could put our name down on a list for tables. She said "oh honey, there's no tables. It's just me. Just eat at the bar". A few more statements explaining we have a 3rd and explaining we would like a table. Just an argument back from her end. I thought the uncomfortableness would end there but unfortunately no. There were no seats at the bar but I thought, maybe I'll wait til a table opened..... which happened minutes later. My boyfriend saw the waitress browse the bar quickly looking for me then said "whatever. you snooze you loose" -- then made eye contact with me and asked if my full party was there. I said "the 3rds parking....." and she cut me off saying "you're just going to have to eat at the bar honey" - stormed away and couldn't even hear me say she wasn't going to eat, just drink. We finished our beers as quickly as possible. Literally could not give that place one more dollar. I couldn't believe the attitude that I got. I feel like my review does not give justice to the insult and bitchiness this woman treated us with. The weight of the specific waitress's 0 star weighed down the whole place's 4 star atmosphere and presumed food experience. Food looked good but I won't be treated like that. read more

Checked out during New Year's Eve and I was quite surprised how packed a small bar in a quiet town can be. They had a live band and based on the stage set up, seems like live bands are pretty common here. They did charge a mandatory $5 at the door for donations to the band which i understand but it should have been voluntary instead. They had some unique beers which i enjoyed. read more

In over 20 years of going to bars and restaurants, this is the first time we were asked to leave. Apparently after 2 hours, the "dinner crowd" caused the manager and wife of owner to ask us to leave. I was midway through my beer and my partner was waiting on a dessert menu along with 3/4 of a beer. I couldn't believe their attitude towards their customers of over twenty years. Apparently they didn't care about the fact that we were long outstanding customers. They had no problem explaining to us that they had the "3rd best burger on Long Island", which I found to have an onion and fish aftertaste. I believe they didn't wipe off their grill well enough. Regardless, any place that comes with a limit on your time to eat when you reminisce with old friends, won't ever have me step foot in there again. read more

We were visiting the town for a wedding and my husband and I stopped by Still Partners for a quick pop before the reception. We were greeted by a friendly bartender, John, and even more friendly locals. Decent craft beer selection available. We had snacked on a pretzel and fried pickles and were blown away how good the fried pickles were. This is not your typical sliced pickles that were heavily battered and fried. These were spears or whole pickles that were lightly fried and incredibly juicy when you bite into it. A must order when you are stopping by for a drink and need a snack. The bartender had turned on the football game and turn on the sound on so we could follow the game. Great local bar. read more

This is the place, like what we saw on TV's as kids about how you feel welcome at a bar, you aren't just a patron, you are a guest and everyone you meet is friendly! I can see why the locals hang out here! Great spot to catch some great musical acts, althou the stage area is a little small, it makes for a more intimate musical affair! On the Saturday night when we went, there was an outstanding Santana tribute band playing. Upon arriving, we were happy to see that they charged a $7 cover per person to ensure that the band gets decent pay. Respectable move, Still Partners! Take a classic dive, fix it up, and still keep the roots. While I miss the old, ill-light, dingy Partners - Still Partners still feels right. Interior has been redone and feels a lot bigger. Lot of memorabilia has been kept on the walls. Food is good. Definitely a chef in the back who knows what he/she is doing. It's better than just pub-grub. Owners are very nice people. Waitstaff/bartenders are great. Drink prices are acceptable. As are the food prices. Live music is a plus. And the entertainment definitely goes beyond your garden variety cover band. I don't think there is one complaint I can make about the change. read more
