Finally happy to have a pub in the area with quality food and great choices of craft beers on tap!! There is a large selection of beers on tap. The menu has great selections like Memphis BBQ wings, a delicious Salmon, steamed shrimp wontons just to name a few. They have live music often and this is a great neighborhood spot for couples, singles and families. I went here for a drink around 10. The guy outside checking IDs (not sure if he's the owner or bouncer) was SO RUDE. I wasn't aware they check IDs at the door - so I had to open my purse and wallet to get it out. As I'm doing this, the old chubby bald guy (owner or bouncer) says "any day now" and rolls his eyes! And he wasn't kidding! Then, before I walk in - he tells me there's a band and $5 tip charge that is optional. I said I didn't have change (I did, I'm just a broke student who only wanted to buy a drink). He told me "look in the bucket I have change"!! I said I'd rather wait and he laughs in a really mean way! Then I'm siting at a table with some friends and empty beer bottles and he comes over to clean it up and rolls his eyes! I get this guy hates his job but this was so unpleasant and uncomfortable! I've heard stories about him before. However, the bartender was so nice and the place is pretty cool but I will probably not go back because of this experience! read more

This place was great but now it is awful. If you want to eat you can plan on waiting hours to be seated. The host is a bumbling moron who has no idea what he is doing. You will be rushed through your meal if it's a friday or saturday. The food itself is good although nothing extraordinary. Would be a great local spot for pub food. Prices are way too high. The wait staff is fairly terrible. The place over try to fit more tables than it realistically can so it is very uncomfortable. Most annoying thing....THE TERRIBLE LIVE MUSIC!!! There are always local old man bands playing loud terrible music. You cannot have a conversation in the place it is so loud. NO I DON'T WANT TO DONATE TO THE BAND!!! read more

Still Parters is the kind of neighborhood joint that makes you want to move to the neighborhood. They somehow pull off a place that you can bring your 6 y/o for dinner, and meet your old college buddy for drinks at the same place later that night. I've seen bikers and families dine side by side. The craft beer selection is compact but clearly curated, and rotating. The bartenders know the beers, and can make a good cocktail as well. Similar to the beer, the wine selection is not overwhelming -- but what's there is quite good. Start with the warm Marcona almonds, drizzled in oil -- the best way to kick off the meal, and prime your palate for the beer. The salmon is as visually pleasing as it is to the taste buds. Make sure whatever you order has fries that accompany -- fries are no doubt the best in this region. Compared to other offerings of this quality on the north shore of LI, this place is likely under-priced. A gastro-pub that wouldn't call itself a gastro-pub -- a place designed for locals, that welcomes everyone, of all ages. Great Bar, Cool people, Good Music!!

Owners Dan and Ray really put their all into creating a relaxed, fun environment while serving up amazing food and drinks. My wife and I have been here a number of times - sometimes with the kids before heading down to Sea Cliff beach on a Friday night, other times to hear live music with friends. I recommend the grilled salmon and BBQ ribs. The place can get packed and depending on the band can turn into one huge party...probably the most fun you'll have on Long Island! read more

Stopped in to see a local band on a Thursday night and the staff was a joke. Do not advertise yourself as a kid friendly place when i ask for a table of 8 and the loudmouth host rolls his eyes and says 'it's not chucky cheeses'. Service was slow as hell and the staff seemed annoyed that it was busy. Isn't that what a restaurant wants to be? Isn't that what an owner strives for? Beyond the hippy pretense the food and drink selections are good. But the idiot at the door is offensive and the staff makes you feel like they are doing you a huge favor. Avoid this place and hopefully they get it figured out by cleaning house. read more

Walked through the door and was "asked" for $5 contribution to the band from a guy sitting on one of the barstools. Only one barstool available at the bar, so my significant other had to stand while eating at the bar. We split an order of wings, and I had to get up and get two small plates from the service area so that we could each eat over a plate. Barmaid hardly pays attention to us. Being fairly new to town, my wife and family have found Still Partners to be a comfortable place to dine together and sip on a somewhat decent scotch. Recently my praise for this establishment has ceased. As a middle aged man I don't appreciate sitting at a bar and having an overbearing door man with far too many opinions intruding on my evening with his gossip. I feel the problems this establishment is dealing with are being made far to public by this "doorman". I have been enlightened on the recent problems with "addicts" and the new tactics to remove the riff raff. All of this information voluntarily given to me after casually asking how this employees day was going. This is a real shame, considering the food and music are always beyond enjoyable, that I will no longer be a customer of Still Partners. This was NOT the first situation we have had with him, I really hope the owners understand his intrusive rude behavior is what's giving them a bad name. read more

I love this place. Good food and very friendly host and wait staff. They treat you like family. The music can be a bit loud but you have to expect that if you go late in the evening. If you want a semi quiet dinner go before 10 pm. A great neighborhood place. I highly recommend it. read more

So glad to see this favorite 'corner bar' open up again. This time, however, there is an impressive dining menu with grilled salmon, hearty burgers, gourmet salads, specialized desserts, etc. So you get the best of both worlds; a bar where 'everyone knows your name!' and fine dining as well - all without breaking the bank. Was hesitant to bring the family with 3 young children because of the bar atmosphere. I was wrong! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was 5 star. We ordered kids burgers with fries , French onion soup , kale salad and baby back ribs. The ribs were truly fall of the bone tender and the burgers cooked to perfection. As of May 2013, it's under new management by two friendly guys who want to bring more live music to the area. So there's a nice mix of local folks and people from surrounding towns who like live music. You will enjoy yourself here, because the atmosphere is more welcoming now. read more

Still Partners kept the right amount of things from the "old" partners to keep people who hate change happy but improved it a million times over. The drinks are better, the food is fantastic. And for what they could charge they are a place that keeps you coming back weekly. As a woman with a weird work schedule I am mostly stuck with the idea fast food after work. Still Partners however makes me feel not only safe but welcome enough to have dinner solo. The owners Dan and Ray make a point if they have time to constantly check on me or the bouncer does. I have have even brought my elderly dad for lunch, and he loved it, My mom is excited to go back for the live music. During the winter months do yourself a favor and order the chicken pot pie it is the best I have had on the east coast. Only thing food wise I wish they did was serve their fried pickles as chips with a horseradish sauce, but if that is my biggest complaint, you know the foods fantastic. The beer is changed seasonally they will give you a small taste if you're not sure. I never write restaurant/bar reviews but I can't tell you how happy I am with Still Partners. It has become a safe and fun place to get dinner and and a drink with friends or even occasionally solo. I hope if you are looking for a casual pub style place to eat that even caters to kids early in the day/evening (or dad how prefers kids menus), or a bar with live music on weekends you will give Still Partners a chance. You might come for the drinks or if lucky the food but trust me you will stay for the people. read more
