Stopped by this diamond in the rough on our way to Dallas from San Antonio. Very kindly delivered customer service, pristine kitchen, you can see it from the counter/register. And my baked potato and hubby's ribs were delish! Perfectly smoked~

I've been a loyal customer of Still Smokin for years and am pretty irritated with myself that I haven't shared a review until today. This is, by far, the best BBQ in Central Texas. We love their chicken and turkey, but their brisket and pork are also amazing. Service is great and the employees are always friendly.

Two meats and two sides. Brisket, turkey, potato salad, and peach cobbler

Back again and this time with my wife. She gave it "two thumps up." She loved their smoked chicken because the smoke favor penetrated through the skin and into the meat. Also appreciated the "just enough" size of meat.

Stopped here on my way to Fort Worth from Houston. The restaurant is conveniently located in relation to the highway with easy access on and back on. Ordered a Six rib combo dinner which came with toast and two sides. Had turnip greens and potato salad as sides. The ribs may be the best I've ever had. They were meaty, lean and very tender. The dining room was clean and spacious, you order cafeteria style. The staff was friendly and attentive. Would love to return here if I am ever nearby.

Beans, potato salad, Mac n. Cheese, turkey, brisket and sausage.

Good food, lovely service, great spicy bbq sauce, turkey was great too. Good potion size for the cost effective price. Great road trip stop.

Great find on our way back to Dallas from San Antonio! My husband literally said "I'm craving BBQ" and then we immediately saw a sign on the side of the highway that said "BBQ NEXT EXIT" lol so we just took a leap of faith and went for it. It's a small family run place where all the food is made in house. We did brisket plates with spicy BBQ sauce and for sides we had Mac n cheese and potato salad. It was all really tasty! The Mac n cheese was on the bland side but our kids loved it! Wish we had dessert too but we decided to avoid eating a lot of sugar. They keep them displayed by the cash register and everything looked drool worthy.

Smoked & Moist Chicken Dinner, w spicy beans, & Greens.

I pulled in because there were several big rigs parked outside. Ordered the Chicken Dinner Plate, and Tea. My oh My, the nice sized Chicken was unwrapped, and the meat was moist & had a great smoke flavor, no odd spices, guessing salt & pepper. The spicy sauce had a great flavor, yet didn't over power the meat. The greens and spicy beans were perfect, & the tea was also good. I didn't order the Brisket because it looked to lean & and dry, JMO! Most like it that way, I prefer it Central Texas Style, JMO! The service was friendly & was responsive to customers. Good prices!

Brisket with mild sauce, potato salad, and baked beans.

Best BBQ I've ever had! Hospitality was unmatched. Left with a belly full of brisket and a happy heart!

And while the other one is great and fabulous, this one is one star better. A huge selection of baked goods, coffee, decor, clothing, drinks and more. The Kissing Pig Cafe has so many food options, too! Mrs. K. has not had a kolache in years and she's now pescatarian which presents certain challenges. It would be awesome if they had some kolaches with just cheese or were sweet, so while I had one with ham and cheese and one with sausage in cheese, she was at least able to enjoy a strawberry and cream danish as well as the always awesome poppyseed kolache. It's possible that a pecan square was purchased for later consumption, too. The self-serve coffee was great and we enjoyed all of this inside at a comfortable table. And after that, more shopping. So much great stuff to choose from here and very, very clean restrooms. If you're overwhelmed by that massive baked goods counter, just ask for recommendations. They'll get you sorted for sure! Excellent selection of kolaches and klobasneky. You can also buy sandwiches. Minus: as on previous visits, I have found that they are often out of poppyseed and prune kolaches. Not the servers' fault but you would think management would be keen to bake more of what sells most. Then there are the sandwiches. If you want pork, you'll get value. But if you want brisket, look out! I've never seen a more miserly portion offered for 13 dollars. I understand that brisket is expensive now. But I still get it at various restaurants and have to say that it was a five dollar sandwich for thirteen bucks. Additionally, the sandwich maker apparently does not know what and order for "moist" brisket means. Mine proved rather dry.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in and directed to choose a table of our preference. The waitress quickly came over and grabbed our drink order while we looked at the menu. We placed our order and the waitress was very knowledgeable and able to answer our questions. She also informed us they work as a team so we can stop anyone when/if we need something. We started with the "Burning Bush" appetizer (crispy Brussel sprouts w/ lemon garlic aioli). YUM! They had just the right bite to them, and the glaze on them paired with the aioli was delicious! For our entrees we had the Golden Calf Burger w/ sweet potato fries and sriracha aioli and The Weight of Glory Sandwich w/ broccoli slaw. They were both incredibly flavorful and fresh! You can tell they locally source their ingredients and prepare them onsite. The portions are also plentiful, and we left with a takeout box. To round off lunch we tried the special mousse on the specials board (coffee flavored cheesecake mousse). It was so delightful we dug in before I could snap a pic. Just enough coffee flavor paired with chocolate sauce (not hersheys ). The big windows allow for a lot of natural light and lends to a welcoming and warm environment. We will for sure be back and bring others!

I especially enjoyed how the herbed goat cheese mixed with the lemon aioli (aioli is garlic mayo so the garlic is redundant in the menu) and beef patty. That combo was deadly to me, oof Some nice cold coleslaw to compliment the hot burger was a nice mix. I still haven't forgotten how heavy their tomato soup is! So packed with flavor omg. Friendly + quick staff as always and gorgeous wooden seating.
