I sure do love small town U.S.A. warm welcome on a cold Saturday. Weekends are for bloody Mary's and we try a new one every Saturday. Here we are. This breakfast is off the chain good. The farmers breakfast has thick slice and smoked bacon, sausage and a slab of tasty ham. It was so good. Hubby got the biscuits and gravy and loved every bite. The bloodys. We get them spicy with Tito's and it was good. Overall the best part of this place is the friendly people. When you're new to a spot often people wonder where you've come from. This place, they made Sure to say come back again next week. Came for the bloody. Returning for the people and the smoked bacon. What a great find. read more

Wanted to love this place as we enjoyed the distillery next door so much. Unfortunately the service was very lacking. Waitress was subpar at best, obviously did not want to be there. 2 people had the fish and wings Friday special. never offered a sauce so plain smoked wings, no tarter for fish. Never checked on us, tried to get her attention but no luck. Will be back for the distillery but what a wasted opportunity on the restaurant side. read more

Visiting from Michigan and absolutely amazing! Husband and I tried the food the night before and the Services & Food was dynamic. We ordered Walleye and Haddock. The meals came with choice of soup/salad and choice of potatoes. So filling, delicious, and there were leftovers because the portions are incredible. Back again today for breakfast. Absolutely amazing! Portions were incredible again and the food was incredibly delicious. The Haddock and eggs with potatoes was the best that we've ever had. Craig our server and bar tender was spot on and very personable. Very kind and humorous. The rest of the staff to include Rick, Kathy, Alexis, Allie, Jenny, Loren, Rob and Jen are so hard working and dedicated to their customers, whom by the way they treat like family. We attended a party in their upstairs party room which was a lovely large room with large tv, ample seating, vaulted ceiling, private bar, restrooms. The food was served buffet style and everything was delicious! Hubby says everything was amazing but the ribs were the best thing he has ever tasted. We've also attended a party that was catered by Wally's and again, the ribs were over the top amazing. Their restaurant was on the main floor with the business located in a restored brick building with beautiful brick and wood. It is definitely worth the drive from Appleton or anywhere in the surrounding area! read more

I specifically picked this place to stop for breakfast which was a 7 mile round trip off the highway on the way to where I was going because of the awesome ham and eggs breakfast picture that is on yelp. The place is old looking with a nice bar on one side and a dining area behind it. I was seated promptly and given a menu and water and opened them menu. To my surprise the breakfast menu is the last two pages with less than 20 options and ham and eggs is not on the menu but ham is a side option. Ok the sausage and eggs is on the menu so I ordered that and I was told that's the Wednesday to Saturday breakfast menu and I need to order off the Sunday menu on the right so I look the small menu over and nothing appeals to me. I say I don't want the special omelette, I don't want the 18 oz steak and eggs and I don't want the wali and eggs. I want sausage eggs and toast a traditional breakfast and she says that she can check with the kitchen because they are set up for the Sunday breakfast menu only, really because my kitchen is set up for what ever I decide I want to cook. I tell her don't bother because I'm not going to be forced to order a breakfast that I don't want just because I'm already seated so I got up and walked away saying I will have breakfast somewhere else. Really because everything is already on the Sunday breakfast menu in a different dish, give me the wali and eggs with toast, hold the wali and give me breakfast sausage in its place is what I should have ordered LOL LOL to screw with my server. The bottom line is what I was being told was super stupid and if they are so rigid with the menu that I can't get a breakfast that I want when the have all the ingredients already is just asinine. read more

We had the Polo Bianco add shrimp and the Shrimp Bianco and it was spectacular. Just damn delicious if this is what they're capable of I really think they should change their menu and lean towards more like a supper club. We'll order this again for sure. Keep up the Great work. read more

Stopped in for some early dinner, great bar service , friendly bar tender , when asked about some of the food on how it was seasoned, the cook (owner) rudely replied, I'm not giving out my recipes , ok so we ordered some food, ate in dining area . I have to be honest here, this place is amazing. On the way here, I thought I probably should have packed a snack. It is that far in the middle of nowhere. But after leaving, I would go back tenfold. It was packed this Sunday in everyone covered in Green and Gold. Amazing. We were seated right away at the bar, which was actually a neat place to be. Our server brought us water and drinks right away, and took our orders. She informed us that since it was so busy (which was quite obvious), that it would be a while for our food. It was great of her to let us know ahead of time, and it made our wait actually more enjoyable. I ordered the Bavarian Breakfast, and it was amazing. Seriously. I wanted to eat every bite but I just couldn't take it all down. Then I made the biggest mistake: I tried the homemade bread and homemade jam. It was dessert to my mouth. It was unbelievable. I would have ate ten pieces of that alone. I highly suggest asking for your bread and jam before your breakfast. It's worth it (especially if they're really busy). Overall, the place is adorable, its a perfect cozy little restaurant with great food. I highly suggest it. read more

The food is great and has a lot of different things on the menu. However the service was absolutely horrible. It was at the end of their serving time and not busy. We ate at a table in the bar area and had to ask bartender who looked right at us to clear the table which he never did wash off. After more than an hour and asking 2 different people where our food was it finally came. Then we had to ask for the toast which hadn't been made for us yet. After all that we yes had to ask for our check. Was so disappointed. read more

I went here on the recommendation of a couple family members; I was not disappointed. I was fortunate to go on a Saturday morning when the place wasn't as crowded. Their toast is made with their homemade bread which is amazing and comes with their homemade jam. I ordered french toast which again was made with their homemade bread and came with a side of the best American fries I've ever had and a choice of ham steak or kielbasa. I took half my breakfast home. Everything was delicious and the staff was attentive. The only reason I took off a star was the proximity of the bar to the dining area. There were guests drinking at 9:30 in the morning (no judgement, to each his own) and they were engaging in some rather crude vulgar talk. It may have been an isolated incident, but I felt uncomfortable hearing it, let alone if I had children along. read more

8/20/21. Stopped for our usual breakfast, last time was in late June. Today was a huge and 1st time disappointment with our breakfast. Must have had new staff. Omelets were sunny side up with a 1/2 inch of melted cheese on top. Pancakes were crunchy, coffee was bitter. I don't post reviews but hoping the owners see this and make changes. We love the atmosphere, owner and food, however this last Friday evening we went, and we were not impressed by the skinny blonde girls who was more concerned about texting, and flirting with the guys at the bar. The place wasn't even busy, but I had to continuously try to flag her down for beverage, change, and she didn't even come over when we paid the bill. We wont be back. read more

My husband and I were excited to visit this highly recommended restaurant. Bar tender was very attentive and helpful picking out menu items. When our food arrived my fish and potatoes were swimming in oil, not a pleasant sight. I am not a complainer however, I called over the bar tender, showed him my plate, he agreed there was an overload of oil. I politely said I didn't feel comfortable paying for my meal seeing how it was uneatable. He politely said he would see what he could do. He returned saying he could give us 15% off my meal. I expressed how disappointed I was with his offer. He said he was sorry and left. We will not go back or recommend this restaurant to anyone.... Have been here several times for breakfast, has always been good. Thought we would try dinner here for a change. The experience was painful, the waitress should have been fired, she was horrible. First time ever not leaving a tip. Waited 35 minutes to get a drink order and 10 minutes later she finally came back to get our order, waited 1 hr. And 5 minutes to get our order. Sad part is they were not even busy. Ordered a second drink waiting for our meal, never received it, I went to the bar 3 times to get our drinks, waitress never came back around. When we did finally get our meal, delivered by the bartender, waitress never came back to our table, walked to the bar to pay for our dinner. Ordered a steak that was delivered luke warm and way over cooked. Never again! read more

Decided to drive to Wallys for breakfast Sunday morning it was kinda busy but that's always expected on Sunday. Well this was by far the worst experience I've had at Wallys we waited over an hour for our food and the table next to us waited an hour and a half. When it did show up it was cold and nasty!! This is an adorable little place with very good bloody Mary's. The servers are extremely attentive and very kind. The owner is also quite nice but a bit over the top on his political views. (that did not really bother us but he could sure gain more business if that were toned down a bit more) I ordered the lobster benedict which was pretty good, my husband ordered the Jaeger Schnitzel which was a bit strange as normal Jaeger Schnitzel is a pounded out pork loin which is then breaded and pan fried. This was a beef tenderloin which seemed like an upgrade but it was not prepared like any Schnitzel we have come to enjoy. The tenderloin was not breaded at all and it was smothered in a gravy that tasted more like chop suey. Not a fan favorite for us. Both breakfasts came with American Fries that were just ok, they were a cross between mashed potatoes and American fries, if you are in to that you might really like them. read more

Wow. We went for breakfast the first time... Lobster Benedict, and pork shank with eggs and we shared some French toast. Just awesome. Went for dinner on Friday night. I had pan fried walleye and couldn't have had a better piece of fish if I tried. It was great! Can't wait to go back to try more menu items. The place is pretty much in the middle of "not much", but a great place to stop and eat. Home-made bread and soups are very tasty. Wally's is one of our favorite spots. read more

I went there today for my brother's birthday. It was packed but the food was worth the wait. I had the smoked pork chop, 3 eggs and home fries. The eggs were scrambled perfectly, not an easy thing to doe when busy. The pork chop was huge and moist and juicy. The home fries were the best I have had. And homemade bread toast is fantastic. The service was very good despite being packed and the drinks were wonderful. I will be going there again very soon. read more
