Met my daughter for Saturday morning coffee. What a great place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Warm and welcoming ambiance and staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great food and awesome coffee. Place was busy but no wait for a table or for our orders. Great place and can't wait to come back.

Probably one of my favorite cafes in RVA that offers both a mean latte and an extensive food menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Stir crazy is one of those places that all the locals know about and is extremely busy on the weekends, for good reason.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As an iced latte fanatic, some of my favorites include the gingerbread and pollinator lattes. Only thing is, as a muslim who prefers eating halal, I wish that they'd have more food options without bacon/sausage or at least that they'd be open to doing more substitutions. The lily sandwich and the egg and cheese biscuits are my go-to's though!

I love this coffee shop! Stopped in here after a Yelp event and got a hazelnut latte & chicken bahn mi sandwich. Despite being very busy, my to-go lunch came out quickly. Great flavors & the bread was so soft. The latte was piping hot and delicious. 10/10 recommend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of street parking in the area & lots of seating inside & out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The biscuit I had here was EXACTLY what I needed. Moist, and perfectly buttery. As someone who absolutely loves breakfast sandwiches and biscuits, I can confidently say this one was top tier. The flavors were spot on! [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a good amount of indoor seating, but it's clear everyone around the area knows this place is good![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It can't get a tiny bit busy but so worth the wait. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu. This spot is definitely going on my go-to list!

Forgot to take the "before" pic of the country ham biscuit. You tell me what I thought of it!

Second time here and I like this spot.. Both times had a biscuit and coffee. The BEC biscuit was great. Tried the country ham biscuit the second time. Flaky biscuit, salty ham, sweet apple butter and cheddar cheese (added egg on mine). First time I ordered to go but I dined in this time. Service was great both times was great. Friendly staff and quick turnaround on my food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great scene too. Enjoyed sitting here and sipping my well made black eye with steamed cream.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is full of a variety of sandwiches and drinks. Stop in, if you nearby...or far away. Worth the trip!

I've been going to Stir Crazy for a minute. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is always nice, even when it's packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]My recommendation is to come earlier rather than later if you're not a big fan of crowds.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pastries are always good, no matter which ones you grab. Their breakfast sandwiches are as well. And of course, I love their drinks. I'm a big iced latte gal myself

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cute and affordable spot in Bellevue![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went Saturday for lunch and it was delicious! I got the Italian sub, macaroni salad and a green smoothie. There sandwiches all topped out at around 10 dollars which is unheard of today. The staff was very friendly and service was prompt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It had a neighborhood feel which was very nice![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came to Stir Crazy for the first time on a beautiful Saturday morning. The place was PACKED. All of the indoor and outdoor seating was taken and at some points the line to order was almost to the door. The staff were super friendly and for as busy as they were the food and drinks came out very quickly. They have a really large menu for a cafe, lots of sandwich options and breakfast options too. Oh how I want to give 4 stars but after this visit I can only give 3. Like I said the service was incredible, no notes. Unfortunately the sandwich I ordered just wasn't hitting. I ordered the Cali with the potato salad. My partner ordered the Italian and I was so jealous of his meal, his sandwich was really really good. We also ordered iced vanilla lattes which were very very milky, like barely brown almost white in color. I went back and ordered a quad espresso to add to our lattes which did make them better. I definitely want to give this cafe another shot, I want to love it so badly since we live so close and the staff were soooo friendly. Will update once we come back!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Wonderful cozy cafe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the maple iced latte with oat milk which was flavorful and creamy! I consumed my drink too fast to take a picture. Pricing is affordable. The people who worked there were very nice and accommodating. My friend ordered a hot chai which is pictured! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place in a cute neighborhood.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

If you're in Lakeside, this is the coffee spot to go! They had a line to the door, very busy but I received my food and chai latte - hot and ready - within 10 minutes. The bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel was delicious and flavorful. The chai latte had a generous and surprising amount of foam, beautifully sweet and the perfect temperature to drink right away. Loved coming here and will be coming back again!

Great place for morning coffee! If I lived in the area, I would be here every day. During a mid-January 2023 business trip to Richmond, I was staying at a hotel about an 8-minute drive away from John Bryan Park (where I went for a morning jog), and found this cafe through Yelp. First, it's easy to find street parking as it's in a residential neighborhood with a mix of apartments, retail shops, and single family bungalow style houses. Second, the interior is pleasant and would be a nice place to work. Third, the coffee (regular drip) is awesome here. Overall, the service was friendly and professional. If you're in this neighborhood north of downtown Richmond and seeking good coffee, be sure to give this place a try!

Love this place! Living in the neighborhood has this beautiful perk of walking to places and Stir Crazy is one of them. The people are always so friendly and do a great job with the beverages, food and cleanliness of the space. The food is really good. I got my stuff to go today so the pictures don't do it Justice. They usually make beautiful coffees in mugs and you can sit by their faux fire and relax. I get a plain bagel with Pb for my kid and they have plenty options for littles to enjoy. You can get wraps in a bowl if you'd like and it's jam packed with flavor. Everyone is usually nice who comes here too so make a trip over and try it out. Ps-Cellar door is my fave drink not on the main menu, it's so so good! Oh my only tiff is I wish they had sriracha but I usually bring my to-go mini bottle

Why no more chocolate or coffee muffins? Everytime I want a muffin its a vegan or a bran muffin. No blueberry or cranberry orange. No coffee cake, or cinnamon rolls, come on this is a coffee shop. And no oatmeal all winter whats up with that?

Things change, Mike. Most businesses, especially small, local restaurants and coffee shops have had to revise and revamp their menus since Covid hit to take smaller staffs and ever-increasing food costs into account. Our blueberry muffins are…

For those of you who are unfamiliar with a chopped cheese sandwich, let me break it down for you. A chopped cheese sandwich is when a burger is cooked steak and cheese style and put on a hoagie roll. This sounds like it should be a simple concept but so many sandwiches fall short of hitting the mark. THIS ONE DOES NOT! The meat on this sandwich is cooked wonderfully. The seasoning is perfect. The temperature is excellent. It's juicy and not any way overcooked. It smells amazing as soon as you open the bag. The fries are also a sticking point for me. They are golden brown and have just the right amount of salt and crunch to them without being dried out. My lunch is always really in minutes and I enjoy talking to the owner while I wait. He always greets me with a smile and makes my business feel appreciated. There are several other menu options but I am so smitten with this one that I have not ventured to try anything else.

It was great to see how popular they were, given that the sandwiches were excellent. It's close by, so I plan to return soon.

I had been telling my Dad for a while about how fun this place is, how nice everyone usually is, and how much I thought he would enjoy it. We were finally able to come together today, and he was genuinely excited to see the inside and have breakfast here for the first time. As expected, we were told the wait would be about 45-50 minutes. Fine. The place was busy, as it usually is, and we had absolutely no problem waiting. I spent years working as a server and hostess. I understand busy restaurants, long waits, and tables that don't turn as quickly as expected. After waiting about 40 minutes, I went to the host stand to simply ask for an update. We had watched people leave and groups continue to be seated during our wait, so I wanted to see where we stood. The young man at the host stand told me it would be ANOTHER 40-50 minutes. I genuinely thought he had confused our name with someone else's, so I explained that we had already been waiting for 40 minutes. He told me our names were "at the bottom of the list" and that people inside were moving very slowly. No apology. No double-checking the list. No attempt to figure out how a quoted 45-50 minute wait had suddenly turned into an hour and a half. He didn't ask if we were willing to sit inside, offer another seating option, or even suggest placing a to-go order. Nothing. He was completely dismissive. So I handed him the menu and my Dad and I left. Then, just 20 MINUTES later--not the additional 40-50 minutes we had literally just been told--I received a call saying our table was ready. I tried to explain that we were no longer there and WHY we had left. The second I said we had "left," I was HUNG UP ON. Honestly, that was it for me. Before that phone call, I was actually sitting in the car telling my Dad that maybe we could try again another day. Despite being embarrassed and disappointed after talking this place up to him so much, I was still willing to chalk it up to a bad interaction with one host. Getting hung up on completely sealed the deal. I'm not angry because the restaurant was busy. I'm angry because we were treated like we didn't matter. I'm angry because we waited patiently for 40 minutes, politely asked one question, and were dismissed with inaccurate information instead of someone taking 30 seconds to double-check. I'm angry because when I tried to explain what had happened, I wasn't even given the basic courtesy of finishing a sentence before someone hung up on me. My Dad and I have lived in Lakeside for over 30 years. We weren't asking to skip the line. We weren't demanding a table. We weren't rude to anyone. We were two local customers who were excited to have breakfast together at a place I had genuinely loved and recommended to other people. We will NEVER be back. And yes, we will absolutely be telling our friends, family, and neighbors about how we were treated and recommending that they go somewhere else unless they want to risk being dismissed, given completely inaccurate wait information, and hung up on when they try to explain why they left. Apparently this place is busy enough that treating people with basic courtesy no longer matters. That's fine. There are plenty of other restaurants that will happily take our money and, at the very least, treat my Dad and me like human beings. What was supposed to be a fun breakfast with my Dad turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a long time. I went from genuinely loving and recommending this place to never wanting to step foot inside again. Congratulations. You lost two longtime local customers in less than an hour.

I was a bit disappointed that they only offer whole or oat milk, as I was used to having more milk options (like low fat or nonfat). I can't drink whole milk and I'm not a big fan of oat milk. The barista recommended that I try the oat milk and said if I didn't like the drink, they would make me something else. I asked for light oak milk and hoped for the best. My latte was served in layers, so I got a big blast of oat milk in my first sip, but after I mixed my latte, it tasted so much better. The coconut flavor really came through and offset the oat milk flavor. I was really happy with my drink and with the super helpful barista. I'll for sure be coming back!
