We visited with a large group of 20 on a Sunday afternoon without a reservation. The staff seated us on the patio, which was enclosed in plastic and quite warm with the sun beaming in and no fans. We asked if it might be possible to move inside since the restaurant wasn't very busy, and they were able to accommodate us fairly quickly, which we really appreciated. It did take a little while for someone to come take our order, but once our server arrived, she was kind, attentive, and efficient. The food took some time to come out, but when it did, everything arrived at once and nothing was missing. Overall, the food was good. The only disappointment was that the fried shrimp portion was smaller than expected for the price. I also personally felt the chips, salsa, and queso weren't worth the price compared to other restaurants in the area. The queso was quite bland. As a side note, if you order their pizza, be aware it's a thin crust style--but instead of being crisp, the crust was soft, which was a bit unexpected for us. The kids all ordered kids meals that differed from chicken strips, Mac n cheese, and spaghetti. Each meal came with a drink and the portions were very decent size. My food recommendations would definitely be their pecan crusted fish, the classic burger, veggie noodle bowl and although such a small portion the fried shrimp was delicious! The space itself is very cool, both inside and outside, with additional BBQ and bar concepts that add to the experience. Despite a couple of small hiccups, we enjoyed our visit and the staff were very nice.

It was okay. Positives: Nice building & decor, lots of seating, friendly server, decent prices and quick service. Negatives: Had 3 employees walk past us, make eye contact and not greet us as we waited by the hostess stand, the "famous" pizza was paper thin and just... not good, and one of our drinks was delivered with a fly floating in it. I know it happens... still not very appetizing. Our experience was meh. Probably would only come here again for a concert.

10/12/24 Update. Very good trip with the fam again. Enjoyed the drinks and recommend the Porch Pounder as it's not too sweet but very flavorful. Baby Back Ribs were very good tender smoked rub. No BBQ sauce if that's important to you. The crab stuffed flounder was very good too. One ding against the atmosphere was the abundance of flies at our table. This was surprising being mid October, but there they were. My guess there was some trash that needed attention. Other than that the over all atmosphere is super cool and completely capable of hosting and entertaining a group for an evening.

This is what we got for a $12.00 Margarita "With Salt"!

Stix is trying to present itself as a 5-Star restaurant with their quality dinnerware, exquisite presentation and average plate price of $30.00. However, their service is better suited for Denny's. They're inadequately trained and FOH operations are abysmal. For example, after my SO ordered a $12.00 Margarita with salt. It of course came without salt. I went got up ask the bartender if I could get it salted. Her solution was to hand me a plastic SALT-SHAKER! Ugh...I didn't have the energy to argue anymore! Here is the end result:

Great place! Lots of choices of settings and different types of food. The lawn area was amazing, live music, plenty of activities, fire pits and very generous space! Food was great, service is awesome! Just an all around great evening and great venue!

The ice cream is that good, and the history and story behind the building make this place such a fun stop. It's easily become one of our all-time favorite ice cream shops! I got the Eskimo Kisses and my husband got the Peanut Butter Bull's-Eye, and both were absolutely incredible. The ice cream here is seriously 100 out of 10. I got mine in a waffle cone, and that was probably the only slightly disappointing part. The cones are pretty small, and honestly, it wasn't my favorite waffle cone compared to some others I've had. But the ICE CREAM makes up for it and then some! There is pretty much always a line here, no matter what time of day you go, but they are incredibly efficient. They move people through quickly, so even when the line looks long, you aren't standing around forever. The inside is so cute and quaint, almost like stepping into an old-fashioned diner or soda fountain. It's bright, fun, clean, and has so much character. I'm still kicking myself that I've never actually stopped here for breakfast or lunch because I've heard their food is worth trying too. One of these days! We ordered from the ice cream side, where they have all of the cones and ice cream treats listed. I didn't see milkshakes and some of the other things you might expect at an old-fashioned ice cream shop on that side, although I'm pretty sure you can get more options if you sit down and order from the restaurant side. If you're in Ludington, you absolutely have to stop at House of Flavors. The ice cream is fantastic, the atmosphere is so much fun, and the history makes it even more special. We came back a year later for a reason, and we'll definitely be back again!

The place seemed busy but luckily there was no wait time. There was a lot of vegetarian options and mostly each combination was available as a salad, wrap or a sandwich. I ordered the cranberry chicken wrap . The wrap felt a little dry but the filling was quite good. I also tasted chicken fajita sandwich and it was awesome. This place has started as an ice-cream shop. They hold a lot of records including one in The Guinness Book of World Records and it shows in their elaborate ice-cream selection.we ordered vanilla with butterscotch and raspberry rendezvous and liked both. Prices are reasonable too. Definitely worth a visit when in town. PS : we walked by the restaurant's ice-cream shop side in the evening again and there was a queue extending to over a block :)

But The Alley Bar & Grill was Perfect for what we look for in small town places that don't have bells and whistles but everything else that matters. Great staff interacting with the customers, serving great food and drinks with a welcoming atmosphere. Our server, Sondra, and her fellow "chef" were working hard in the kitchen making the tastiest looking pizzas. It was a challenge to choose our food because we were really hungry. The menu is smaller but everything on it is high quality eats. I had cheese curds and tried the Pollock filet, crinkle cut fries and slaw; my friend had wings with buffalo sauce and the French dip, steak fries and slaw. I asked for another option for dipping and their cocktail sauce with the curds was a great combo. Although the ranch dressing tasted homemade. I'd never had Pollock before and I enjoyed it with malt Vinegar, generous portion lightly breaded and I almost finished before finding a few bones in the meatier part. I know it's expected but I have a quirk when I find a fish bone, I'm done. My friend's French Dip had a generous amount of meat, on a soft hoagie type roll and was "so delicious". This place had just about everything fun to do inside: beer pong, pool, darts, fooseball s as nd even a room/ stage in the back for live entertainment! We had the jukebox this evening, playing good classic rock and when it stopped my friend was going to fill it up with coins and keep it going. But we overheard Sondra encouraging a guy to, "Pick as many as you want to because it's free." Prices were $$ for the quality and portions of food, clean inside and atmosphere. We parked in the street and walked about 300 ft to the door, which has 2 steps to enter. I highly recommend that you go find out what's happening in The Alley, I bet you'll have a great time!

I had the Hazy and my husband had a West Coast IPA, and both were fabulous. My Hazy was honestly one of the top hazy beers I've had. The menu looked amazing too, and we had such a hard time deciding what to order. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked so good that we actually wished we had more time in Ludington because we would have come back here for dinner again! My husband ordered the Hog Father Burger with fries, and WOW. The burger was absolutely mouthwatering, especially with the pork belly, and I couldn't stop stealing bites from him. The fries were incredibly crunchy and delicious, and the burger was so filling that he couldn't even finish it. I ordered the shrimp tacos, which came out somewhat deconstructed, and I actually thought that was fun. The shrimp was served over rice with pickled red onions, and it came with salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and Mexican cheese on the side so you could build them however you wanted. Everything was delicious, but those pickled red onions were especially good! We sat out on the patio, which was a really nice area. The inside was also large and everything was very clean. The only slightly odd part of our visit was our waitress. I'm going to give her some grace because maybe she was just having a bad day, but there were a couple of interactions that felt a little strange, including when we first walked in and the way she spoke to a few people as they were being seated. That said, she was efficient, and I'll take a peculiar waitress who gets the job done over slow service any day! Overall, this was absolutely a 5-star brewery experience. Great beer, fantastic food, a nice patio, a clean and spacious atmosphere, and a menu we wished we had more time to explore. We would definitely come back!

We were seated quickly, and our waitress, Sydney, greeted us promptly. She was friendly and took the time to tell us about the daily specials and homemade soups. Two of our children ordered the kids' spaghetti, while our other child had the chicken strips and fries. I ordered the Monterey Chicken Sandwich based on Sydney's recommendation, and my husband chose the meatloaf sandwich with a cup of chicken noodle soup. Everything we ordered was good. The kids all enjoyed their meals, and I absolutely loved my sandwich.
