The receptionist was a good first impression of the company. The guy who came out was amazing. I was so impressed by him. He called 2 days in advance and said that he might be able to come out even earlier than the appointment. Score! The day I was scheduled for was rainy. I almost thought they might cancel due to the weather conditions, but nope! My guy called and came out earlier than scheduled (which worked well for me). It was rainy, but without any doubt he pulled out his ladder and got to work. He diagnosed, corrected and filled me in on the problem in less than 10 minutes. He was also just so up-right and friendly!! It was like he were a worker from an idealized 1950s. And even though it was raining and he had other appointments to get to, he offered to give me an estimate on installing gutter guards. He measured every gutter around my house and garage and then got my email so he could send me the formal estimate. It came later that day. Such impressive service! Since the type of window has long been discontinued, I couldn't find anyone in the St. Louis area willing to fix it without a total window replacement. J & J not only offered to take a look but was able to reassemble the sash with a a new piece of glass! They saved me from a bind for sure! Issues: The seal was not applied properly and a lot of water leaked in the basement after we had a hard rain. J&J did assess the damage and paid for damages through their insurance. The lock on the handle also did not work but J&J did finally fix it. The second door we purchased - Therma Tru Fiber Classic Mahogany was for the front door. It was sold to us from J&J Windows with the intention that not much maintenance would be needed because it's fiberglass and not wood AND it had a 5-year warranty. This product has been ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE and J&J has NOT stood behind the product they sell. We have had issues with this door and door frame less than 1 year after it was installed. We notified them as soon as we noticed the issues and at that time, paint was peeling around the door frame and the door was already starting to fade. No way should it have faded this quickly. They sent a painter out MANY times to try and fix the door frame and it still looks terrible and paint is still peeling. They SAID they re-stained the door for us but they NEVER did and after checking their records again they discovered they never did re-stain the door. The picture of the house is what the door looked like 1 month after it was installed, which was very nice. The other images are after 1-2 years after it was installed.... TERRIBLE!!! We spent thousands of dollars ($$$$) and now J&J Window Sales (or even Therma Tru) are not willing to fix the door frame or the door! Their final email/comment to us was that they were sending us a door stain kit so we could do it ourselves or have someone do it for us, and they made it sound like they were doing us a favor because the kit usually costs $140. SERIOUSLY??? Do you think this is good customer service??? I am embarrassed that our front door looks so awful. The least J&J Window could have done was send someone over to re-stain the door and at least do something to fix the frame. They just gave up! We have been extremely patient through this process over the years. They said the door must receive a lot of sun.... No kidding... It's a front door!!!! THIS IS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMERS! We will NEVER refer ANYONE to this company!

After letting him know that I received my insurance claim settlement documents he and his lovely wife came by with a brochure which showed varying grades of roofing material, specs, as well as shingle color options to choose from. His wife helped me choose the most perfect color option. He patiently explained the confusing insurance claim settlement information to me in verbiage that I could easily understand, giving me a detailed explanation of what the insurance company was paying for, what my deductible was, and what I would owe Leonidas after the roofing was complete. He patiently listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. They clearly explained the whole process from start to finish, including any possible extra costs ahead of time so there were no surprises. The roof install was scheduled for a few days later. The roofing crew was kind and respectful. They completed the majority of a very large roof in just one day and came back to finish and clean up the next day. Called Allen first and they said they could help, and would send someone.Tom came out and removed the required siding, and said to let him know when the plumbers were finished with the repair. When the plumbers were done, we called to have the siding replaced. Kyle came out and had the siding back up in no time. He told me there was no charge for the job.
