As far as atmosphere, it's nice enough and not unlike alot of other restaurant/pubs in the area, which is nice but not anything special. The service was very good though, and even as busy as it was our waitress was in a good, friendly mood and didn't hover around our table like at some other places. The food, or at least what I ordered was alright, I've had better. I had twelve of the carribean jerk, dry rub chicken wings and they came out a bit overdone, almost burnt. All the other food we had was good though, the pizza and the pastrami sandwich my mother ordered were fantastic (to use her words). I'll go back at some point and give it another go, but for now I give it a three out of five. read more

I've lived in Windham for three years now and just got around to giving Stockhouse a try. I had a garden salad, a Rachel, with hand cut fries. My girlfriend had marinated steak tips and garlic mashed potatoes. Her mashed potatoes weren't all that mashed and the steak tips were nothing special, but OK. My salad was cold, crisp, and a nice portion and the ranch dressing was creamy. The Rachel was delicious, especially the marbled rye, but I have to take issue with the hand-cut fries. The first batch came out hammered, so I asked to have them replaced. When the second batch came out no better, they said all the fries were coming out like that because of the potatoes they were using. No, they came out like that because the oil in the fryerlator was old. Our waitress was very apologetic, but offered no compensation of any kind. Not a different side, not comping or giving me a discount. Color me wrong if you want, but when I order food at a restaurant I expect better. Stopped in yesterday while out looking for a Christmas tree. We were seated right away and our waitress came over, quickly. Even the sandwiches and wraps come with two sides. I picked the teriyaki chicken with garlic mashed and mixed veggies. My plate was enough for me to eat lunch there and take lunch home for the next day. My friend ordered the steak and cheese sub with two sides. Our food was good. Not fancy in any way but we weren't looking for that. This was a perfect place to pop into for a quick bite before getting back to our day. Waitress stopped by frequently to ask about refilling drinks. Plenty of parking. read more

I went with my family and we had a somewhat good experience but I have to admit the food was not what I was expecting. I ordered a taco salad where in the description it states "a bed of lettuce, tortilla chips, chilli, ect....." when I received the "salad" I was practically given a large plate of chilli nachos. There was a very small portion of lettuce. I assumed the tortilla chips would be a topping not 3/4 of the dish. This dish should not be under salads for it is not one. Service was good tho. Conveniently located right on RT 302, this spot is great! I ordered pick up and sat at the bar while I waited on my order. The ambiance was warm & inviting. Staff was very polite & attentive. I recommend the haddock sandwich (you literally get a whole filet). The portion for price was a steal & it comes with two sides. Will definitely come back to visit! read more

I walked In for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The interior had a clean wood beam barn look. They was around 20+ beers on tap, 1/2 of which were local or craft, and a full bar. The staff was happy, friendly, and seemed to know every local well. I asked for a light, crisp, local beer. The bartender recommended a Lone Pine Portland pale ale and talked me into getting the large mug. The menu highlighted their selection of wings with a couple dozen choices of sauce including a chart organizing them from mild to hot. They also specialized in pizzas, calzones, along with a selection of standard sandwiches and burgers including their Stockhouse specialties. I ordered the Haddock sandwich with fries and coleslaw. The fries had the same light fluffy interior as In and Out Burger fries. The slaw was a generous portion and just the right amount of creamy and tangy. The Haddock came on a long roll and was lightly breaded with a flaky but moist interior. The meal was great, the vibe was friendly. Every seat at the bar was filled, creating a fun local energy. 6:30 Tuesday evening. Fairly busy. Nice friendly staff. No bar seats (stupid covid). 24 beers on tap. Large enough menu. Looks a wee bit pricey. Not sure about the Tuesday night wing special what does it mean if you don't buy a drink there's a $5 plate charge that's weird. Nice atmosphere. The FOOD, chicken sandwich a bit tough and dry, mashed potatoes came almost worm, good fries. Mediterranean chicked was good marinated balsamic vinageret was tasty. update from 12/23/2023 review. One of the woman that was in our party ordered their take on a reuben sandwich which was mediocre at best. Again portion size is crazy, as such, she took half of the sandwich home. The following day she decided to finish the sandwich. In one bite full she found 1/2 toothpick! This isn't carelessness; this is negligence borderline intentional. This only goes to show that they DON"T have a qualified chef, because NO chef would allow such a thing. She also received their famous re-fried limp french fries. It becomes more obvious that they aren't interested in quality food, cleanliness. read more

I have been here a number of times, For the most part, I like it enough. They have done a lot to the interior of the building to add some flair along with the ambiance. The deck, however (which the end all beat all of the Westbrook locations) Has a lot to be desired. It lacks a good paint job along with some very limited space. You might get overlooked by a server out there. I do like the option of sitting outside so having it available is definitely something I like and I hope they take the time to make it epic. For the most part the staff there has been great to me. I have had one horrible experience with a staff member hanging out at the bar and simply hitting on the bartender while I waited to place an order, I ended up not getting anything. The food is average at best. I do like that they have tried to add some new things to the menu and keep things interesting. It is located on a busy street but it is also easy enough to get in and out of. If you are in the area stop in have a bite and check it out for yourself. read more

She was distracted talking to off shift coworkers and gossip. then informed us one of the wing sauces was not available. 30 minutes after ordering!!! Asked another server if kitchen was slow tonight as table seated after us had all their food and we had none. told her we were ready to leave. 40 minutes at least had elapsed. got wings & entrees at the same time. My family and I ate here for lunch. The menu is huge, you will not have a problem finding something you like. Two of our party got fish sandwiches and they were the largest I've ever seen. Wings were huge all the portions excellent. Service was very good and helpful while ordering. We will be returning in the near future. read more

The place is very dirty. We were sticking to the table and seats. There was old food rotting in the vent next to our table. My feet stuck to the floor like something had been spilled and never cleaned properly. The service was slow and poor. We had to ask our waitress 3 times for everything. She had tables on the other side of the restaurant and we hardly ever saw her. We ordered chicken wings and they came out raw in the middle. We did enjoy the fried pickles, but I'll never go back for just those. I found it odd that they have a full bar, but they only have a beer menu. No specialty drinks. Went there with a couple of friends. The food was great. But something even better then the food was the staff. Our server was great and was so our food runner, Owen. The kid was awesome to talk to. It was great to be around a young energetic kid sinse I cannot get that from my marriage. The kid deserves a raise for sure. Will definitely be coming back. read more

I am a frequent visitor of Stockhouse in Westbrook so while driving through Windham we decided to stop at the new location. The food was about the same not Westbrook but close. Service , well here is where it when wrong. We ordered bacon wrapped scallops for appetizer and ordered our meal. we waited a bit longer than usual then our meal came. Still no scallops. I told the waiter we didn't get our appetizer yet. he looked confused and apologized and said he would go find out. before he left I said please just take it off the bill because we already had our food and really had no need for an appetizer now. he returned to the table and said yep it was sitting out back no one brought it out but I got to eat them! Really!!!! you don't bring me my appetizer and your reward is 12.99 plate of free appetizer!!! At least I did not have to pay for the appetizer my waiter ate...... No manager spoke with me and this was a big screw up. Appetizers always come before meal. I have been at Westbrook location on Tuesday wing night before covid with a packed house and NEVER experienced anything this unprofessional. read more

After the food finally arrived it was extremely cold and we were told there was a "ticket printing mistake." BS excuse with no compensation. I will take my business somewhere else. read more

What a beautiful place. Great drinks awesome sweet bar tender and great staff. Only down fall was the time it took to get our food. We go out every Thursday like to start out with a few drinks order and appetizer then order our meal. It took an hour for the appetizer which were chicken tenders and wings. tenders were chewy wings were awesome. After being a repeat customer of Westbrook location we tried the Windham one on a couple of occasions. The last trip will be my last. Waitress was wonderful and and that's the only positive thing I can say. Food was slow and when we did get our meal it was missing several items. Sent my meal back yet still had to pay for it after the manager "tried" to take it off twice and waitress even offered money out of her own tips to pay (of course we didn't accept this and paid on our own). Two other people in our group didn't even eat their meals because of how overcooked and rubbery they were. I wrote to managers on their webpage to inform them of the terrible service and not even an email or call to apologize. Bathrooms were dirty and even food on the stairs that numerous staff just walked by without wiping up. Time to retrain your management and kitchen staff! read more

I barely want to give one star. I have worked for restaurants for many years and have never experienced such poor food and poor service. We ordered the boneless wing special and they were ice cold. We told the waitress and her response was "oh great!" They weren't taken off the bill but they were 45 cents each not a big deal. Then there was a piece of chicken found in our friends beer. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad and when it came out, there was no dressing and the chicken was RAW! I told our waitress and her response was "cool!" ( I am seriously not kidding!) The place was nearly empty, yet dinner didn't happen. Food allergies were clearly identified and ignored! The appetizer was served to one person, and the other was ignored. The person with the allergy received their food cooked WITH THE IDENTIFIED ALLERGEN! No silverware. Drinks took a LONG time to come. The person with the food allergies did not eat because the experience was that bad. The manager thought that we wanted a public reprimand, when all we wanted to do was leave. This place is one of the best restaurants in Windham! We have been there multiple times, and the staff is always friendly, the food is delicious, and we love the atmosphere! First timer! Arrived to the local pub and was greeted but not seated very quickly. The restaurant was absolutely dead a few locals at the bar and a few stragglers at the tables. Ordered our first round got them pretty quick. Ordered and app along with the food at the same time. Got the stock house platter and not gonna lie it was pretty good. Then I ordered the steak tips medium with mix veg and mashed had no recollection of ordering them with no flavor and to come out cold. My girlfriend ordered the fish and chips Cajun style and also had no recollection of ordering it completely over cooked and doused in a Cajun seasoning after being cooked. After a few bites she felt sick to her stomach and mentioned she may not eat fish and chips ever again. Our server Grace was a tad slow. And by slow I mean I ordered a second beverage and watched it sit like a fat kid at the beach. Sweating completely filled with water and just unappealing. Not only did my server walk by it a hundred times ( next to the kitchen door 5 feet from my table ) the bartender that was on tonight watched it like she watching paint dry and never had the thought or courtesy to bring it 5 feet across from the bar. To make matters worse the manager on duty stood at the bar literally in front of my drink talking to a couple a local River rats for about 25 minutes and also did not have the mind, brain, or courtesy to even think about bringing it over. After 25 minutes of watching my drink sweat like a whore in church I went to the bar to ask Mrs. Inefficient for a jack and coke and she simply replayed "oh are you sitting at a table? Yeah your drinks been sitting here let me grab it for ya!" As a bartender and server myself I would be absolutely embarrassed to own, manage, or work in this establishment.
