I am extremely disappointed with the outcome of my high and low lights. My stylist, Vanessa, didn't listen to me or pay any attention to the pictures I shared or my request to texturize my bangs before doing anything. I should have known then this was going to be a bad experience. At the start of my appointment, I explained how much I disliked the stark contrast in my hair -- the very dark underlayer and the tow‑head blonde on top. I asked for depth, dimension, and a more golden tone. Instead, my hair is now muddy brown, dark, boring, and completely inconsistent. The underlayer on the left side of my head is noticeably lighter than the right, and the overall result is uneven and harsh. I'm devastated. My hair looks horrible. What made the experience even more frustrating is that she was double‑booked, so I didn't have her full time or attention during the appointment I scheduled. After she put in the foils, without being told or giving my okay, I was pawned off to the inexperienced Shampoo/Salon assistant for the rest of my appointment - my wash, blow out and her half attempt at styling my hair. I felt rushed, overlooked, and like my hair wasn't Vanessa's priority -- and the disappointing result clearly reflects that. read more

I'm not very fashion-savvy when it comes to my appearance, but while visiting a friend I found myself in need of a haircut. She introduced me to Judy, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. All I told her was that I wanted the back very short and left the rest up to her. Judy is extremely knowledgeable about hair and took the time to understand my hair's natural texture and behavior. She explained different ways I could style it for fun and clearly shared her ideas beforehand, giving me the chance to agree, give feedback, or make changes. She's not a big chit-chat stylist, which I really appreciated. Instead, she focuses fully on her work and treats hair like an art form. Her work ethic is excellent, and you can truly feel that she's not just doing hair for a living--she's living to do hair. If I had to describe Judy in one short comparison, I'd say she's the Picasso or Van Gogh of hair. I'll definitely be seeing her again whenever I visit my friend and need a haircut. read more

Beware if you go to this salon, they will double book your appointment with other clients and not take the time that is allowed to do your hair properly. They will also be more concerned with getting you out the door, than the quality of their services. I had a 5hr 45min appointment booked, and my hairdresser rushed the appointment because she booked another client 3 hours into my appointment, and started 30mins late for my scheduled appointment because she had another client she was working on when I got there. She had multiple opportunities see the poor work she had done due to rushing but didn't take the time to correct it in the moment/same day. She actually let me leave the salon with my hair like this after paying her $500 w/tip. When I confronted her about the poor quality, she tried to tell me it was fine, and I just needed to wash it. It took me complaining again for her to finally offer to fix it, when she should have fixed it when I was there the first time, and not booked another client during my scheduled time. I asked for a refund since all the stylists seem to double and triple book their clients and didn't feel comfortable going back. I was told they don't do refunds and that they were sorry if I wasn't willing to let them "fix" it by one of their overbooked stylists. The fact that the stylist let me leave the salon looking like this is enough to know they don't care about quality, they just care about taking your money. Be warned if you go. read more

I chose this salon because "blonde" is literally in the name. I paid $360 for a root touch-up with highlights, and although my hair lifted to the correct blonde in the foils, the wrong toner was applied and turned it red. I had to return for a correction, even after I expressed deep concern for the damage of double processing a wk later. I asked repair mask and was charged $60. I would have rather they been honest and suggested I wait or at least tone the red /copper. After spending over $500, hair is damaged, first time I experienced this issues after years of having my hair highlighted and using K18 products. I came here since I recently moved to MV-- extremely disappointing. I don't care to pay top dollar as my hair is one of my pride as a woman. I had an extremely disappointing experience at this salon with Vanessa. She arrived late to our appointment because she didn't even know she had one--a clear sign of a flawed and disorganized booking system. From the moment I sat in her chair, Vanessa was not warm or welcoming. She barely engaged with me, making the whole experience unpleasant. However, the moment her regular client walked in, her whole demeanor changed--she became friendly, bubbly, and gave that client her full attention. Vanessa completely damaged my hair. It felt dry, brittle, and straw-like after she was done. The color job was a disaster--patchy, not blended at all, with obvious brush marks and roots that looked marked and unfinished. I wish I would have taken pictures of the areas I am describing. After the coloring process, she rushed off to another appointment and left her team to finish my service. I didn't have a chance to see the finished color before she even left. I contacted the salon asking to return and was told I could "probably" go to another location. Since I live an hour away, I started driving--but halfway there, I was told that Vanessa couldn't see me after all. I wasted my time in peak rush hour traffic and gas. This was my only day off from work and school, and I had no choice but to fix the color myself at home because I couldn't walk around like that. No refund. No discount. Nothing was offered to compensate for the terrible experience, as she stated that nothing could be done since I had covered it up myself. Unprofessional and careless. I do NOT recommend this salon or Vanessa to anyone. Total regret. Things that could have been different: let me know the inspiration picture was too light, apply a darker toner to make the hair look even instead of patchy and a root melt to cover the messy technique. read more

I went to the salon one time because I was thinking abut a haircut and decided otherwise. It was filthy and I saw them use the same tools on several customers without ever cleaning them. Vanessa was the worst! My appointment time was at 9 AM. I was called at 8:50 AM to tell me she had a personal emergency and had to reschedule and would call me. I paid for an hour women's haircut. I showed up at my rescheduled time at five minutes. After my reschedule time a receptionist washed my hair. I was a new client and Vanesa did not even attempt to look at me or my hair prior to this appointment she was working on what appeared to be a regular customer until 15 minutes after my appointment time. Once she got to me, she dried my hair, asked me what kind of cut I wanted and when I tried to consult with her, she acted like she did not know what to do four times during my 20 minute haircut she referred to the other stylist in her salon that could cut my hair making me feel like she did not want me as a customer. My hair turned out horrible worse than when I walked in there she gave me what she called a layered cut that made me look like I have a mullet! DO NOT GO HERE! read more

I am in my room crying over this experience. This haircut aged me by seven years, and you can judge that for yourself with the photos I'm leaving here. The screen shot of the texts says it all. Called this morning to see if there were any slots, they told me to come in at 12:30. Once I got there, I had to wait thirty minutes before I got into the chair, but place was busy, so I thought it'd be alright. But from the moment I was finally in the chair, I felt largely ignored. The stylist working on me was doing 2-3 other girls' hair at the same time and when she came to greet me, I showed her the reference pictures AND video, explaining I wanted blonde highlights with coloration similar to the reference showed. She took a two second glance at the photo and didn't really poke my brain for much information. I felt the bleaching solution was in my hair for way too long. It took an hour before they began to rinse it from my hair, all the while she is working on other customers. For the rinse, shampoo, toner and any other solutions they put in my hair while I was at the sink, the tasks were delegated to an assistant. I should mention that my hair was not properly rinsed because immediately after leaving, two of my friends said they could still see some of the purple solution in my hair. After my hair is dried and the stylist came back, I politely explained to her that this white/silver color was not the coloration I was going for. I showed her the references once again and told her that I was going for pale blonde, not white platinum. She replied by telling me the reference looks right to her, and that we obtained the color we were going for. I clearly am not convinced, and she basically told me it'll turn yellow eventually after washes (what?!). Another stylist walked by to say the hair looked nice, and the stylist says to her, "Yeah! We got the color we wanted! See?" Even after I had JUST finished expressing that it was not, in fact, the color I was looking for. But at that point, there was nothing I could do. She wouldn't fix it. I felt ignored. What little time was spent on me felt rushed and my concerns seemed to be brushed off. Honestly, it was a little rude. I know there are differences in style these days, but the coloration does not resemble the reference AT ALL! I just really wish she took more time to take care of her customer and look at the reference pictures that were supposed to add life and style to my hair. Got my hair done by Monse and I love it!! Making my appointment was super easy just texted them my inspo and got set up for an appointment quickly and all the staff seemed super nice. I was worried about my hair being too damaged and not being able to achieve what I wanted but Monse got it done and took great care of my hair, she also made sure I was aware and okay with everything being done to my hair which I really appreciated. I told her a few ideas of what I wanted, and she was able to combine the cut and color to fit my style exactly :) afterwards she put up my hair in cute pigtails so I could further display my new color. The staff was super nice and friendly, everyone wore masks, gloves, took all safety precautions, and the bathroom is even equipped with touch-free sink, soap, and paper towel dispensers to help minimize any additional contact. I've been coming to see Hannah for about 2 years now. I usually only came to her for a cut, but last week I went ahead and decided to come in for a babylight. I have to say she did an AMAZING job! I've been dying my hair (black Asian hair to blonde) for about 4 years now. I've been to a lot of different places even the popular ABG salons. I decided to go to get my hair done with Hannah because I saw she did the owners Vanessa hair and honestly if the owner trusts her then she must be good. I can in with a 10 month grown out babylight, hoping to achieve that blonde California Barbie color that I have been dying to achieve for ages. I didn't think it was possible but she got me EXACTLY what I wanted. It was an 7.5 hour process but she foiled each and every hair with such care. What I appreciate the most is that near the end after she washed the toner out she saw that near my root I had a orange band showing and instead of brushing it aside she went back and retoned it! Most stylist honestly would have brushed it aside to avoid doing more work. Also, as far as following covid guidelines they did a great job of it. Mask was on at all times for everyone. They check your temp and you hand sanitize when you come in. They set up a table outside so you can eat while your process. At the shampoo bowl they would put a divider up if you were next to someone. Since I was there for 7.5 hours I saw that whenever a new client came in they would seat them at a new chair (it was a quiet day around maybe 5 clients so they were able to do this, but I have no doubt everything would be cleaned properly). Pricing was very reasonable ($330 babylight plus $40 for olaplex add on). Prices are listed on their website clearly. Easy online booking and they text you and email you to confirm. All in all I'm very happy with my hair and I'm already excited for my next appointment! read more

Moly was able to get my super grown out previously balayaged hair to ashy blonde without making my hair feel rubbery or damaged. I really wished it would have just been communicated that my hair was too short for proper extensions. I came in being uneducated and feel like I was taken advantage of because of this. These extensions have been a nightmare and I cannot do ANYTHING with them including a simple ponytail. The base of the extensions do not match my hair color at all and anytime I try to pull it back you can see the sew in. It looks hideous. The hair color isn't at all what I asked for ans ended up being $100 more expensive than what I wanted. I was not communicated with about the price difference before it was changed and dyed the roots I wanted to keep hence why I asked for a balayage. The staff was nice but I paid over $1000 for absolutely nothing I asked for. Only positive is I can thankfully pull off a lot of hair colors so I'm okay with the current color. read more

This review is long overdue. I rarely write reviews, but had to given how satisfied I was with my first visit. I requested the blonde transformation for my previous unevenly box dyed hair. This was about a 4 hour treatment. My hair is very long and thick btw, so I was sure it was a challenge to get that done.. had to find the right professionals to do that and well, I got lucky and found this place! Vanessa did an amazing job with my hair! I can't thank her enough. She is a true artist when it comes to refining her craft in styling. She is so sweet and engaged with her clients. Plus I love observing how everyone works efficiently as a team. I never felt uncomfortable there since the customer service was unmatched. All the employees (stylists, receptionist, etc) were very attentive and kind. I honestly hate sitting in one place for several hours but they made it bearable! lol. YANELI is hands down the best!! If you need any color transformation or touch up, she's the one. My hair need some color correction, badly. I messaged the salon on yelp and they got back to me in less than 10 minutes. After seeing Yaneli's other balayages, I knew I wanted to see her. From the moment I walked into the salon, everyone was so nice and welcoming. When I sat in the chair, she asked me about every detail: where to start the color, do I want to include my natural color, what shade of toner do i want, do I want the front pieces colored, etc. Unlike most stylist, she really makes you feel like you know what to expect when you walk out of that salon. This was a really bad haircut experience, and I hate to say that because my stylist was very sweet. I originally had a 6pm appointment, and the salon asked if I could come at 2 instead. I arrived just before 2 and had to wait until about 2:25 for my stylist to come over as he was finishing another client. He was the sweetest and I could tell he felt so bad I had to wait, but I felt like he was rushing through everything during my appointment, and he had his next client arrive at 3 when he had barely started on my haircut. I could tell he was so stressed out and wonder if that had something to do with why my hair turned out nothing like what I asked for. I told him at the start of the appointment that I wanted a trim (I had very long hair when I came in. I've included a before pic) and that I wanted some bangs and showed him a bang inspiration pic. My biggest frustration: I was very clear that for the TRIM I wanted a blunt/straight cut with no layering because my hair has been thinning (keyword here is trim)...He gave me 20x more layers than I've ever had in my life, and he drastically shortened my hair in several areas to create these layers I told him I didn't want. My entire head is just layers on layers. I feel like he didn't listen to me at all, and then by the time I saw what he was doing it was too late and the damage had been done. He also forgot about the bangs and I had to show him the picture again, and what I got looks nothing like the picture I showed him. I showed him Hailey Bieber bangs (included pic in review) but got Daphne Bridgerton bangs. It also took two hours for a haircut, which felt like such a long time. I drove from Aptos, originally to a friend's salon, for a full lightening/ highlight correction. When I got there my friend referred me here due to extensive damage from a previous appointment. (The other colorist broke a big chunk of my hair off on the back of my head.) Shirin did a great job blending it all together, while making sure not to damage my hair further. Also she fit me into her schedule on a short notice for that same day. She is fast, very friendly and professional. Usually my hair becomes super dry after brightening, but it feels healthy this time. The salon itself is clean, modern and located near a free public parking lot that is a plus. An unfortunate experience. They were kind enough to take me on short notice but did not listen at all to my request and charged me an insane amount. I asked for contrast and volume--so adding highlights and lowlights and then a very slight trim with curtain bangs. The inspiration photo was dark brown hair with warm dirty blonde highlights. When she finished she had cut off way more than I asked for, it was all dirty blonde and stick straight/flat. Nothing I asked for. She even said, "do you like it? It's so blended!" Yes, the highlights were very very blended and natural looking which can be nice but is not at all what I asked for. I asked for contrast. I felt pretty bad but all together with tip, paid an arm and a leg for it. Bummer. read more

Long overdue review. I got my hair done by Vanessa a little less than a month ago and my hair is completely damaged. I showed her the picture I wanted, and It was not all what I wanted. I get there and come to find she was doing 2-4 girl's hairs with the help of her assistant. I was not happy about that because 1. we are living in a world of a pandemic and I felt like she was not mindful of that. When I told her how I felt she said, "your process is 4 hours". That was not the point, I felt like my hair was being completely ignored and burnt. Another thing, when she was washing my hair, pieces of my hair was falling out. Toward the end, as her assistant was blow drying my hair, you could not even brush my hair, it was so tangled and ruined. I get home and was completely devastated, my scalp my hurting also and Vanessa's respond was "you can purchase a moisturizer ". I will not be returning to this salon. I honestly feel like my hair is completely ruined. So unprofessional doing multiple girl's hair at once. Oh, I forgot, she got bleach all over my shirt which was ruined also! - oh & do not schedule a hair appointment at 8am. Vanessa shared to be that she tends to not wake up for early hair appointments. This place absolutely annihilated my hair. I had incredibly healthy, long, vibrant hair before going here to simply touch up my blonde. Pamela (who did a great job on my hair last year, so I trusted her) completely damaged my hair to the point where I had no choice but to cut it off. I made an appointment to have babylights to touch up my existing blonde. Pamela asked no clarifying questions about what i wanted, and apparently gave me a balayage instead. What's surprising is that she somehow managed to make my hair darker (not lighter) while giving it zebra-style brassy streaks everywhere. (See photo). My friends/family were really confused when they saw my hair--it truly looked bizarre. This cost me nearly $400. On top of that, my hair felt really dry and frizzy, so some damage was definitely done at the point (Pamela left the bleach on my hair for over 45min which is a very long time, and did not use a basic protectant like Olaplex which most salons use). So I sent photos to the salon and asked them if Pamela could fix my hair, thinking that maybe Pamela just had a bad/off day and was trusting her to make it better. The salon agreed, but pressured me to come in "as soon as possible." (I now know this is a huge mistake-- you should NEVER rebleach hair within 6 weeks of a preview bleaching session. The salon just wanted to do what was convenient for them; they didn't care about damaging my hair obviously. It's not my job as a customer to know what's safe for my hair -- the salon should know and should not pressure me into doing something that would severely damage my hair just because it's more convenient for them). So I went back and had Pamela redo it. She overprocessed the shit out of my hair, and turned it completely white. I clearly stated I wanted natural looking blonde and to be careful about damage. She did the opposite: she gave my entire hair a bleach wash, overbleached the top of my head, and put in ash white toner. I left the salon looking like I had the hair of an 80 year old. I had to go to a different salon to make it not look white, and to add a root smudge to make it look a little more natural (because at this point I was done with S&B). However, the damage to my hair by Pamela was irreparable: my hair dried out like yellow straw, my curls went flat, and I lost about 1/2 my hair in just two weeks because it started falling out in clumps. I went to two other salons for consults, and they were shocked at how damaged my hair was and the fact that Pamela did all the things she did to my hair in such a short time period. They said everything that was done was against salon best practices for bleaching. I would like to emphasize that each time I went to get my hair bleached during this ordeal, I felt like Pamela did not pay any attention while the bleach was setting in. She left the foils on for way too long (around 45min) as I watched her just chat and drink coffee in the breakroom. She never once checked on my hair during that time, which gave me a lot of anxiety and, candidly, seemed plain neglectful. The second time I went to get my hair fixed, the foils were on my head for over 30min and then she said "I'll be right back" and physically LEFT the salon w bleach still on my head, while i was completely alone (no customers, no other stylists, just me). She was only gone for 5ish minutes but I think it's unacceptable to leave a client all alone in a salon while they have dangerous/harsh chemicals like bleach on their head. Thw cherry on top: I reached out to the salon after all this asking for some kind of refund. They said the owner would get back to me, but she never did. read more
