    Flight of beers

Loved this brewery! Friendly service, welcoming atmosphere, western and vintage vibes that are unique to find in KC and good beer! What more could you want?

I was in there during Sunday Industry day. They had a live band which was a pleasant surprise. They had a food truck out front but I didn't try it so I can't say anything about it. I was told by the bar staff that there is usually a food truck out front on the weekends. I want to say that the bar staff did an amazing job even though the bar was packed of the band and there was a steady flow of people at the bar, I don't believe I ever waited more that a minute for a beer. They were defiantly on top of their game. The Stockyard Brewing company's beers were all really good and had a good mix of IPA, Pale Ales, and a Red. They also have a full bar if you want mixed drinks or more. I will defiantly be back.

What a super cool place!! You literally feel as if you are in a time warp back to the height of the KC Stockyards. This place is very nice and very unique. Aldi, the beer is great. The size of the pours are as big as a regular serving maybe pint size. I am not sure how many ounces but huge!!! Make sure if you are coming to do a flight to ride in an Uber!!

One of the coolest breweries I've been to. The decor reminds of being in some western cowboy film. The beer was great with tons of craft selection. Solid deal for a flight and cool staff

First, I love all the chances to explore the Bottoms, when showing a friend around KC who also loves beer we decided to check out this brewery. My friend had the Black IPA and the Hazzy IPA, I don't care for IPA's but he convinced me to try both, and I actually quite enjoyed them. I had the Stout and the Scottish Ale. By far the Scottish and the Hazzy were my top picks. I just loved the overall flavors and taste. The establishment was so cute and felt both rustic and intimate.

Went for a couple of drinks here early on a Friday afternoon. I had a flight- you get to pick any 4 of the beers from their current rotation. I had the cerveza, two wheats, and a stout. The stout was my favorite. I ordered another wheat, and they asked if I'd like raspberry or passion fruit in it- I had them put raspberry in it- it was delicious! My only disappointment is that I got hungry and only half of their snack menu was available. If they up their food offerings, I would give them 5 stars!

It's a drive but always worth it!! Love this brewery. The inside is smaller but unique. Sometimes there is live music. Plenty of beer options. They also have a few wine and liquor options. The service is always great. I've never had to wait too long for another drink. They also have some good munchies to snack on. The chips are so good. Thin, crispy and salty. The dill sauce is super fresh. I will definitely keep coming back!!

Enjoying the brunch stout and the ipa!

This is hands down my favorite drinking establishment in Kansas City!!! I love the atmosphere! The vibe here is somewhat speak easy esque without the expensive prices and exclusitivity. The beer is extremely tasty! If you like stouts you have to try the brunch stout! It's my personal favorite. The cerveza royale is the perfect option for those who prefer light beers. Honestly, all of their beers are top notch and you cannot go wrong!!! Hurry up! Go check this place out! Who knows! You may even run into me!

This looks like the kind of place you'd pull up a spot next to Don Draper and his fellow Ad-men after a long day of drinking at the office. Sub out the scotch for some solid beers in this former Golden Ox space and you've got the new Stockyards Brewing. The throwback interior adds a unique element to the beer scene in town, as does the nice beer list. I love a lot of the breweries around town for their patios (and usually dog-friendly patios) but this one is an exception. The magic happens and stays indoors here, which might bode well in the cooler months. I did a flight with: Golden Alt (C+) Papa Pils (A-) Brunch Stout (C) West Bottoms IPA (A-) So for me, a mixed bag that trended positively. The Golden Alt sounds like something I'd like but I just didn't care for it. It was like a hybrid of 4 beers with Hefeweizen elements, Saison elements.. it didn't work for me. The Pils was flavorful, refreshing and perfect for the summer. Would love to have that again. The Brunch Stout should be called a Punch Stout. This thing fights back with a flavor overload. It grew on me as I went through it. The West Bottoms IPA hit the spot on this particular morning. That's right I said morning, it was a holiday vacation don't judge! It reminded me a lot of the Boulevard Pale Ale, with a mellower flavor than most IPAs but still very good. I think the best is ahead for this cool spot and I'm glad to see more and more places like this popping up around not only the West Bottoms, but the city in general.

I wish I would've had more time to look around the market because it looked like they had a lot of good stuff but I'll have to go back and see. They do have tables inside that you can eat at. The food was done at the quoted time and was accurate. The one individual I encountered was friendly. The menu was very straightforward-tacos, burritos, and a few other items, all can be customized. I had to get an order of chips and queso. I really liked their queso. It had good flavor and wasn't overly spicy. The chips were fresh and held up to the queso nicely. I'm definitely probably alway going to order this when I go. I also tried a taco with carne asada. The tacos are the street variety but they are really good sized. They don't skimp on the meat. And the carne asada was really good. No gristle or gross bits. It was chopped finely and I'd definitely order it again. I also had to try a burrito. I tried the El pastor for that and added on all the toppings-cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. I also opted for extra meat because it was super cheap-like $1, so why not? Again, I was not disappointed. I did throw my burrito on the good 'ol George Foreman when I got home because they don't grill it at all and I wanted some grill marks on that tortilla. Otherwise, the el pastor was flavorful and tender and the toppings were all fresh. Per usual, my eyes were bigger than my stomach so I saved half of my burrito, but it was a welcome leftover meal the following day. Definitely check them out if you're on the boulevard and want some tasty, Mexican grub.

I just took a swing at it, picked up a menu, and stood there. It took a while for somebody to acknowledge that I was there. The person who took my order was super involved, which is cool, but they needed some help, and the person who came by to help them seemed to be rather impatient, so that was one of the first things I noticed. They do bring your food out in a reasonable amount of time, delivered to your table. You have a number that attaches to a metal wand that they give to you. So the water station is set up in the back, you get your own water, but they were out of cups. They had a really cool aesthetic to it, with like the garage door where you can see all the downtown. The only problem was that the sun went down, and it started to get rather cold. Nobody ever closed the door, but I ordered the Asada fries. 3/5 heavy on the seasoning, but not so much on the flavor, it came across. It's kind of salty. I thought it would be different than what it was. The portion size was fine, and the green sauce that they offer you on the side really makes it better. Also ordered the CHORI queso dip lied on the chorizo for the portion size. The flavor was also a three out of five. The chip that they give you with it has a nice, good texture and reasonable seasoning. My wife had the mushroom Tinga tacos. She gave him four out of five. She really enjoyed them. The atmosphere is cool. The weights staff are really cool. I'd consider coming back on a Thursday. They have this cool thing that you can try new and upcoming dishes, and then they also have brunch, so I'm thinking about giving them a second shot. If you've never been, you should come and see what your opinion is, but really cool aesthetics and great views.
