Went to a 1 hr class at Bootlegger's Inn (when you walk in, go toward the back and go up to the 2nd floor), and it was an absolute blast! There was a variety of people there taking the class. Five people from the UK, one girl who was on vacation and decided to take the class on her own, and myself and my aunt. It helped that it was a smaller class, as it was a bit more intimate and personal. It was easy enough for us to see the instructor (Jason - he was the best!), and he was also loud and clear enough that if we couldn't see him we would have at least been able to hear him, which helps for the newbies like myself! He went slow enough for us to practice and catch on before having us go through the entire dance. Then! They record you on video! They will email it to you as a souvenir (which is nice - it is also nice that you get one practice run before the filming!) The space is a bit narrow so I can see how this location could get crowded, but I got lucky with a smaller class size I think. Sunday afternoons may be easier for those that want a smaller class. We had to vote on (3) options for the first dance, and go to vote again on another (3) options for the second dance to learn. Good variety, and some simpler dances and then some more complicated looking options as well. Could get tough if there are a lot of people voting and you are not open to all of the dances/have a strong preference. But they are all good! So if you're there to have fun, you really can't go wrong! read more

Best Country Line Dance school in Nashville!! My best friend and I took a group dance lesson at the bootlegger Inn with Stompin Grounds and had an AMAZING time!!! The instructor really broke down the dances nicely so that it was easy to learn, and they were very encouraging and kind. We learned 2 dances which is more than I thought we would learn in an hour which I thought was so cool. They even make a video of your dance experience that's included with the price. A great and fun experience for all age ranges and groups. Dancer or not, each dance is broken down into easy to follow steps and there are lots of opportunities to practice if it's needed. Such a welcoming and no judgement environment and everyone had such a lot of fun. Only reason for the 4 stars (not 5) is because it is a really cramped and narrow space so there isn't a lot of room to move about as much as you would like to. read more

Tess and Dustin are awesome!!! My best friend was having her wedding near Nashville where her parents live. She lives in California and wanted to spend some much needed time with family. For a bachelorette celebration I had them come out to teach us some line dancing and have some fun. They were very personable. Their son was adorable. The let us pick songs and dances we like. I 10/10 recommend doing this! They also DJ and do photography. Contact them for whatever celebratory events you need. Amazing people through and through. Everyone had an amazing time. read more

on 2/2/23 we were excited to go to this line dancing class. the 1st dance they walked us through wasn't to difficult and after many times I mostly had it, and thought what fun! the second dance was to foot loose, super fast and super HARD. keep in mind this is the 1st time I've ever line danced. we ended up leaving, and we went the only ones. at least one other couple left and many other people had to sit out and WATCH. THAT is not what signed up for. if I wanted to just WATCH, I could have saved $40 read more

Booked Stompin' Grounds for a team building event as it was suggested by a co-worker who had booked them previously in the year. Just a little background: My team consists of almost 40 people from all over the world so it can be difficult to find something everyone would enjoy. I can honestly say this was a perfect opportunity to not only get people out of their comfort zone by learning a few line dances, but immerse yourself in culture of country music and Nashville.
