Super smooth and tasty coffee and spoke with the owner who said he roasts it all in house. They do breakfast sandwiches as well too. They serve locally roasted Fireside Coffee and have a huge coffee menu, along with sandwiches and an amazing selection of baked goods they make themselves, including croissants, cookies, cheesecakes, and more. They even sell locally made items and little crafts like earrings, which gives the place a nice community feel. Now, let's talk about the cinnamon roll cheesecake because THAT deserves its own paragraph. It was phenomenal. Seriously, one of the best desserts I've had in a very long time. The key lime cheesecake was also delicious, with the perfect balance of tart and sweet. I tried the brown butter chocolate chip cookies and molasses cookies too, and both were moist, flavorful, and tasted homemade. My caramel latte was fantastic. You could actually taste the espresso! I hate when a latte tastes like a cup of warm milk with a rumor of coffee in it. This one had plenty of coffee flavor while still being creamy and delicious. I also grabbed a sandwich to try later. I haven't eaten it yet, but if it's anything like the sandwiches at Pesto's, I'm pretty confident I'm going to be happy. The service was excellent. Everything came out quickly, and the woman helping me was incredibly friendly. She even took the time to tell me how Café Brulee got its start. Prices were very reasonable too, especially considering the quality. It's also in a convenient location near Flint and Swartz Creek and within about a mile of the dog park and walking trails, so it would be a great stop before or after a walk.
