In addition to cold sandwiches there are very tasty sandwiches from the grill. This was my first visit to this location and it couldn't have been better. I had an extremely friendly greeting and exceptional service crafting my sandwich. It was exactly how I like it prepared. I dined in and the dining area was extremely clean. A person was cleaning around the beverage station and I could tell my table had just been wiped. I will be in Flint weekly over the next several months and plan to visit this Jersey Mike's location again.

Today I arrived early, let them know my pick up name, and told them I knew I was early and it was fine to wait. Well 6 minutes past my pickup time now (I've been here for 15 minutes now), the business has gotten busier so I decided to go up to the counter and ask about it, was ignored while she asked the lady behind me her name, gave her her order, then I said "do you know if mine is ready?" And she was like "what was the name again" and it was ready and sitting there for minutes and I went completely ignored. I also asked for tomato and onion on only half, there was tomato on half but onion on the whole thing. So that was wrong, which happened last time as well. I work in food service so I understand it gets busy and sometimes things can be forgotten, but time and time again is not ok! Food is always great but service can be better.

I thought it would be more fast food in appearance, and in some ways it was with the self serve drink dispenser and plastic silverware, but aesthetically it was far more pleasing than any typical fast food burger spot. You know who I'm talking about. The counter person was absolutely wonderful dealing with us and our questions. Now onto the important stuff. Burgers are two patties and massive. You are definitely getting your money's worth. We split 3 different ones amongst us and they were all good: the mushroom, the southwest, and the brunch. The meat itself is a little flavorless but that might be cause typically I have the meat cooked to medium and these were well done. We weren't asked how we want them cooked so I'm assuming this is just how the cook all the patties. What I didn't like were the fries. They were cold and chewy like they have been sitting around for a while. My son ordered a caramel and it was absolutely delicious. So that was a huge positive. Overall it was a good experience and the prices were in good for the amount of food you get. I would definitely go again.

The vibe is super cozy, with different seating areas, booths and tables tucked around several fireplaces, plus a bar area. They bring out complimentary garlic bread when you sit down, crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, and absolutely delicious. We each got the $16 personal pizza deal with a side salad and drink. The pizza is thin, wood fired, crispy, and flavorful, cut into six slices, about the size of a small at most other places. Definitely a great value. The salad had fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, we added cheese, and the ranch tasted homemade. We also ordered the homemade asiago cheese sticks, which were fantastic. Super crispy outside, creamy and cheesy inside with that sharp asiago flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, refilling drinks without us having to ask and offering the dessert menu. I ordered the peanut butter cream pie and the chocolate mousse pie. Both were excellent. Our total was around $70 for two people, but I definitely added some extras. We arrived just in time to be seated right away, and by the time we left the parking lot was filling up fast. They're clearly popular. They also offer Monday through Thursday specials, so it's worth checking those out. There's plenty of parking near the surrounding stores and restaurants. It's a few miles from the main I-75 exit, but absolutely worth the drive.

We now live in Portage two hours away from Flint but still look forward to our favorite pizza. Today it looked like Ruggero's has succumbed to "shrinkflation" as the large pizza is now the size of a medium pizza, still get twelve pieces, for the price of a large. This taste is also a little off and seems like less cheese. We decided that we will try it one more time and pick one up the next time I am in Flint and if the quality and size remain the same Ruggero's may be losing a long time customer and friend.

It is not just a sandwich shop, it is a sanctuary of sizzle, a monument to meat, and the keeper of my very soul. They lay thinly sliced ribeye upon a screaming hot grill, right before your weeping eyes, onto a roll so soft and pillowy, it holds the heavy burden of glorious steak juices like a protective mother. Then there is the red sauce. It is not a condiment. It is an awakening. A crimson wave of sweet, tangy ecstasy that breathes life into the steak. And the peppers! Those free banana peppers are bright yellow coins of hope, cutting through the rich darkness of the onion-kissed beef. And they have supernatural speed! You order. You hand over your money. Before the register can even click shut, a piping hot, heavy brick of butcher paper is thrust into your trembling hands. How? Is it magic? Is it a glitch in the matrix? Do not question it. Just accept the miracle. My doctor tells me to eat more salads, and they HAVE THOSE TOO! I got one today, the chicken salad with jalapeno ranch. I didn't even have this dream until Big John's told me to dream it. Look, you could go to a lot of different sandwich places in Flint, but seriously do yourself a favor and go here. Choose happiness. I even knew what I wanted before I got there, I love, love, LVE the Southern Omelette. My friend chose the Meat Lovers Omelette with the Flint Chili Sauce on the side. Additionally, we both wanted the Mega Cinnamon Roll French Toast. According to the menu, that can be added to any breakfast for $4.99. We're both Senior citizen. We typically eat part of our meals out then, bring the rest home to enjoy the next day. That was our plan for the Mega Cinnamon Roll French Toast. When our server presented the bill, I was taken aback by the total. It was almost $50.00; I just knew it shouldn't have been that much! I brought it to the attention of our server. (I wished I remembered her name; she was a sheer delight). She took the bill and said she would resolve the problem. Shortly thereafter, another young lady (I presume a manage), approached our booth in an huff asking about what we'd ordered. I replied the Mega Cinnamon Roll French Toast as I pointed to it on the menu with the highlighted Add to Any Breakfast for $4.99. We were told that since we were getting the French Toast to go, the $4.99 price was not in play. That didn't make sense to us. We only ate 1/2 our omelettes and we were taking the remainder of that with us. So let me see if I've got this correct. If we had opted to have the French Toast sent out with our omelettes, then requested to go containers, that would have been permissible? It seems to me, it would have been more financially prudent to make the adjustment (at least in this instance) instead of just canceling the French Toast. Before I could offer my logic, the young lady abruptly walked away in a huff while shouting to the kitchen staff, forget the French Toast. My goodness, what happened to the customer is always right? What began as a day of celebration turned sour within minutes. I haven't been back since. Yes, the food at Mega is yummy delicious, no denying that. The manger though, was so nasty and rude, I don't plan on ever going back.
