To begin with the pressure to reply to their automated text messages about the $75 cancellation fee is ridiculous! If I make an appointment, I show up! The $75 cancellation fee turns into a $150 cancellation fee the day of your appointment. Today I went into my appointment to get my teeth cleaned, I was told that I HAD to get X-rays or I would not be able to be seen. I told the hygienist that I had current X-rays that I gave to them 6 months ago (from another dentist). She told me, no X-rays, no appointment! I recommend you find another dentist that doesn't try to control your body! I felt like I was living in the times of covid! read more

This place deserves 5 stars! The older reviews about this office are VERY misleading as several employees mentioned no longer work there and the office has been updated. As soon as you walk in the door you're greeted by name and with a smile. If there's any paperwork to fill out, the receptionist will make sure you are aware and will give you the forms you need. The hygienists are very sweet and make you feel comfortable during your cleaning. I know it can be awkward when someone try's to talk to you while they clean your teeth. But these girls make it easy and fun! Dr. Hayes has been my dentist here for over a year now and has been nothing but FABULOUS! He always makes sure to explain the treatment options to me and the reason as to why one might be recommended. I never feel as though I'm being ripped off unlike other dental offices. I know at Stone Creek my health and a beautiful smile are truly what this staff cares about. After my exam, the front desk checks me out and answers any questions I might have. The office staff is unprofessional, rude and have unethical business practices. They over charge you for services and once the insurance claim is paid, refuse to refund what you have overpaid. Lisa and Essence specifically speak to patients in a condescending and rude tone when questioning billing. They have lied and deceived especially when it comes to insurance claims and refunds. Even after the insurance company has explained to them how it works, they continue to do it "their way". I have proof of all my stated claims. I have been patient with Essence and Lisa with trying to get this issue resolved but they have left me with no other option. I will be contacting the local media, the States AG and other state agency's. If it happened to me, I'm sure it's happening to others. I'm sure Dr. Hayes is unaware of the insurance billing issues and would be appalled if he knew. read more

Until recently, I'd been delighted with Stone Creek's staff and service. However, the last time I was there my usual hygienist was no longer there. Instead of the cleaning I was scheduled for, the new hygienist did an exam and passed the information to the new dentist. Between them, they decided I needed over $2,000 worth of work. Color me skeptical. I checked around and got a recommendation for another dentist. They decided I needed a filling and no gum maintenance. It was considerably less than $2,000. I had the feeling that part of the reason for the high cost diagnosis was because I am getting older, and older people do have gum problems. And I have to admit that I do have gum problems, but not ones that significant. At this my judgement has slipped from great to "stay away". read more

I have used this dentist since 2005, but in 2013 the bridge they put in 2 years earlier came out taking my teeth with it. What followed was such a complete goof-up that my bridge was finally created and installed by the implant specialists, who were wonderful, this year. Stone Creek told me that the lab lost my bridge that they were working on, then the "lab" lost the next two molds that Stone Creek sent to them. Finally after many many calls and no responses I got a call from the specialists stating Stone Creek turned my case over to them to complete the job. All in all three years without teeth on one side of my mouth. And the kicker-they refuse to refund me any money nor will they pay the specialist. read more

I've been a patient here for over 10 years. I referred many patients to this office (probably over 50 patients), but with the change in doctor and hygienists this will no longer happen. The Doctor is friendly, but the work is terrible. I could tell stories, but trust your gut. If it doesn't feel right, then get a second opinion. I should add that I go faithfully every six months. I never miss a visit and a year ago Stone Creek doctor wanted to cap my 16 year old tooth and drill 4 or 5 "cavities". It wasn't just 1 or 2. It was between 5-7 for 4 of my family members that go to Stone Creek. They were trying to convince me that they were cavities by showing me pictures. I couldn't see the cavities and the doctor was saying "can't you see it?". She was trying to convince me they were there. I assumed she was the doctor and she knew better. I was skeptical, but they took my insurance and I trusted her because she is nice. After 3-4 visits later trying to fix the pain she created it was time for my daughter and mine 6 month cleaning. Now I they needed to deep clean on a few teeth. I decided it was time to move. I never let them cap my daughters tooth or deep clean mine. I've found an experienced doctor and saw no need for a cap or deep cleaning. He has fixed the cavities the doctor did on her teeth. She left the cavity filling jagged which made it difficult to floss and the cavity filling was sticking out like a triangle and starting to push on the other tooth and eat away the enamel. The new dentist has fixed the terrible filling work and she finally can chew on that side of her mouth. It had been 6 months since she could chew on that side. The doctor will fix next week the other terrible work she did for a cavity. I'm not even convinced they were true cavities. I could go on and on about the dental work. If you think your being over diagnosed or over treated, you probably are. Get a second opinion and change doctors. I did and I'm so very glad. Check the history of doctors in this office. I've been here for over 10 years and so many doctors. They never stay. The doctor is super nice. I really do like her as a person, but not for dental work. read more

I've been a patient for about 6 months and had quite a bit of work done; a huge chip broke off one of my molars and they saw me within a day, took a mold of it for a crown, and fitted me with a temporary. They do really good work and everyone is friendly but they really need to find another company to do their crowns for them. Mine had to be sent back because it didn't have enough porcelain and by the time it got back, I had already left on vacation (which means I had my temporary on for almost a month and it started to chip because it had been used too much). Not their fault, but definitely something to consider. Dr. Bellingham is the dentist I visit most of the time but I have had work done by a female dentist (I don't remember her name) and she did an awesome job. read more

I was a patient of Stone Creek for many years. My whole family saw Dr. Cooper, and we were extremely happy with the whole experience. However, the office recently changed staff (about 6 months ago?), and I've had quite a few difficulties with the new reception personnel. On several occasions, the receptionist was just plain rude to us-- we've now changed to Hickory Creek Dental and although we are paying more, I couldn't be happier with the service. read more

This place is the worst they always charge you more than what is required and they did a root canal which was a disaster

The fillings they did on my teeth feel caulky. They are trying to bill me for 50.00 extra dollars they never claimed with my insurance. I also paid over my portion of what my insurance didnt cover. The bill had a 1-800 number, trying to resolve this has been a beating, the lady I spoke with told me I needed to speak with the dentist office, the office wont return my call. The office operator will give you 3 options, but only one option works, (option 3) which sends you straight to a voicemail. read more

My first visit with the new hygienist I was told I needed a service I've never needed before - deep cleaning. 6 months prior when I asked the prior hygienist if I could come every 4 months (because I like my teeth cleaned) she said there was absolutely no reason to do that. How my teeth got so bad so fast is a mystery to me. Still, they did the deep cleaning, which actually didn't feel even as thorough as the prior hygienist did normally. I have no idea what was extra. The next visit the fee dramatically increased because I'm now in a "new bracket" due to the poor condition of my gums! Skeptical about that, but not much I could do. Then I asked about other charges on my bill. I had to call 4 times to get someone to explain them to me - no one ever returned my calls. Last week I went for a cleaning (for the last time) and the hygienist actually was angry with me for questioning the charges after my Nov. visit. I've never been spoken to by any type of medical person so disrespectfully in my life. read more
