One was easier to see but was very dirty from being outside so couldn't be inspected for damages. The other was sandwiched in between multiple other slabs so you could only see the top 5 inches or so of a 5'x 4' slab. But they wouldn't move it out to see unless you guaranteed to buy one of them (which you couldn't see) with a $100 deposit. So to see the slab, it will cost you $100. If there is damage or the colors don't match your tile (which I had in hand to match), you're out $100? For checking? I've been to numerous stone places throughout the inland empire and in OC and have never come across this policy. Interesting indeed.

I really appreciated them getting me a detailed quote within a day (other contractors weren't as responsive). The install took a day and it worked out great. I had a minor issue with some small gaps where backsplash and under cabinets meet. (Only noticeable if you look under the cabinets). Gavin and he sent his crew out the next day to add caulking to fill this seam under the cabinet. The result was seamless. It really looks great!
