I just had my 1st experience with the Stone Gallery this morning 10/22/14.. I have been dealing with a supplier that is located in Woburn (No need to name) and I was tired of the so-so service and that fact the products are sometimes suspect. What I was after was to buy some additional Unilock Pavers (Camelot-Sierra). The ones I purchased from Woburn were lack less with bleached out color and not what I expected. I am doing an additional area and thought I should try another supplier so I called Unilock and they suggested The Stone Gallery. Not only was the Customer Service EXCEPTIONAL using the Stone Gallery, the product arrived and its awesome with all the bright colors I expected. I can't say for sure but I think the stuff from Woburn is REALLY, REALLY old stock and faded. The Stone Gallery is new with all new stock, so why wouldn't I buy from them in the future??? From this day forward anytime I need stone or stone supplies (Especially Unilock Pavers) I will be calling Eddie at Gallery Stone. Eddies is on the ball and eager to make everything work out on your project, which really kind of made my day... As an added bonus, I called Unilock and they are so concerned with my purchase from Woburn, that they are sending out the local rep to advise on what to do about the product I have already installed. I just might get the walkway I paid for after all and I would have never known if I hadn't given the Stone Gallery a try- you should try them too. read more

A very positive experience in the middle of a long line of issues building a home. We are building and needless to say not much is going smoothly. Last week we needed to find Stoneyard Boston Blend corners in stock for a job to start this week. After pricing some local landscaping companies (RI), I decided to look online and expand my search. Stone Gallery popped up near the top so I clicked on the link. I was impressed with the informative but not overwhelming website. I filled out the contact page (not expecting much although hopeful), within 30 mins I received an acknowledgment email from Lori. She wanted to let me know she received the email and would get back to me with a quote. Within the hour, I had the estimate which beat all other companies hands down and I had made arrangements to meet Lori for pickup. By Friday afternoon, I was driving home with my corners and had several wonderful conversations with Lori. I look forward to future projects and the ability to work with Stone Gallery again! As you can see from the other five star reviews the Stone Gallery should be your first and only stop for stone and landscape projects. My wife and I started building an outdoor fireplace last summer and Eddie has been a phenomenal resource. He and Connor offered great advice and helped us to choose a beautiful limestone for the hearth, mantle, and cap. Our custom cut order was completed and delivered in one week. The delivery driver even helped us to lift and place the large slabs. This Spring we've been working to finish up the veneer stone and of course we will be going back to Eddie to have him custom cut some more limestone for the firebox surround. Having learned to use a diamond blade for this project I can truly appreciate the artistry of the work that Eddie does. Yeah, I'm glad other folks had similar experiences to mine. What I really appreciated about working with Eddie was that my home improvement project felt as important to him as his contractors picking up large loads. He got the pavers for me very quickly, and worked around the quantity requirements from the paver manufacturers with me. His business model is pretty driven by customer needs - someone drives up with a request, and he's off helping them to try to juggle the demands of the moment. It meant that at times I would be waiting on someone else's request. This actually didn't bother me at all, because it meant that when I came back with a request (would you help me cut this paver down to size?), he dropped what he was doing and helped me. I just feel bad for him because his job is so crisis-driven! I'd definitely work with him again if another project like this crops up. read more

Last year my husband and I bought a house and did some work on it. We quickly wanted to redo the fireplace. We knew we wanted a whole stone hearth vs. tile. We went to many stone, tile and granite places. I'll admit, I am a particular person and can be very indecisive. Eddie was by far the easiest and most patient man to work with. Told him what I was looking for and my thoughts. He showed me samples of what he could get and what would look best. He contacted his supplier and was able to get the product, had us come down, pick out the slab of stone we wanted, cut it to the dimensions that we needed, and had it all done in a timely manner! Best thing was he gave us a very reasonable and fair price - and I do really mean that! I had thoroughly researched our options for bluestone for a patio we wanted to lay ourselves. I found Stone Gallery through their website. Eddie answered the phone himself both times I called and was friendly and answered all my questions. I drove there twice to check out their stone and our options. Eddie and the rest of the staff were so welcoming (and patient), walked around and showed me the product options, and offered me their best price for the stone I wanted. Delivery was prompt and we are very happy with our finished patio. This was a very different experience to other places I visited where I was shown around a sales floor by a salesperson. Eddie had a great product at the best price and lovely old-fashioned customer service to boot. I needed a single piece of bluestone for a shower bench, and Stone Gallery's website was the only one I found that listed sizes large enough. My husband and I arrived on a weekday a little before 5, not realizing that Eddie closes earlier in the winter. When I called to make sure we were at the right place, Eddie answered. He found out what we needed and that we didn't live nearby, so he described where in the stone yard we could find exactly what we were looking for. Once I had selected a piece and called back with the final specifics, he told me the price, said I could take it right then, and call back the next day to pay for it over the phone. I highly recommend working with Eddie if you have any stone needs. He's got a great selection of stone, veneer, and masonry products, and was very helpful talking us through the pros/cons of each. We ordered stone veneer for our fireplace and some custom slabs for the hearth (which he cut and chiseled himself), and both times he went out of his way to get it for us as quickly as possible. This isn't a store with a showroom and sales people - this is a guy with a stone yard and a great friendly attitude. Most mornings he was pretty busy filling contractors trucks, but he made time for me every time I stopped in. Don't be intimidated by the lack of store front, just walk into the garage and he'll help you out. I look forward to working with him again when we put in our patio. read more

Eddie the owner of this business is very approachable and very helpful. He showed love for this job and took pride in his merchandize and provide the best quality for the money. His suggestions and insight into masonry was invaluable. As soon as I told him what I was looking for. He suggest that I Iook into the newly arrived stones for my project. Later he picked the very best of the stones to cut for me. The reason I mention this is that he could have easily picked up old stones to given me in order to move his stock, but he didn't. Lastly, but not least, Eddies affinity for numbers and measurement was something to witness. All in all I left very happy for having had such positive experience. read more

After calling about 30 stores I called Stone Gallery because I was frantically looking for a last-minute Valentine's Day gift for my wife. I spoke with Eddie the owner and express to him my need to find some smooth Stones so I can give my wife one of those hot stone massages tomorrow ;-) I felt that he had a genuine concern to assist me with my search. He was unavailable at the location due to a dental appointment that he had however he was more than willing to allow me to grab some stones without him even being there. I called 5 different places for a custom bluestone needed for a threshold and Stone Gallery was one of two that actually got back to me. The first place told me it would be two weeks before they could cut me the piece that I needed. Eddie at Stone Gallery told me he could get it done by Saturday which was when I need it by. He went above and beyond making it even nicer than I had anticipated. I ended up getting other materials as well while I was there since the service was so great. Stone Gallery was awesome. I had actually placed an order for a slab of bluestone with another company in Boston (Hyde Park Masonry) but they were super slow, forgot my order not once but twice, and lied about when they had called in the order. So I called Eddie at Stone Gallery to see what he could do, and within 24 hours he had my hearth piece cut and ready for pick-up. Price was comparable. Eddie was friendly, easy to get a hold of, and went in on a Sunday to get me the stone quicker than he had originally quoted me. What a great stone resource...without having to travel miles. I'm so glad to find the Stone Gallery right off Rte 9 in Newton. My needs were fairly small this time, but Eddie was so helpful and positive even for a small purchase of stepping stones, that I have no doubt where I'd go for a larger project. I liked the freedom to search through random loose stones for the ones I needed, and he took the time to fork lift a bundle closer to my car for easy access. An added bonus... I called Eddie for a recommendation on moving granite garden pieces to a neighboring state. These weren't just any old granite. These were heavy antiques, carved, with old lichen growth on a couple pieces. Eddie offered to move them and on a Sunday morning. He and Joey his driver showed up with a huge truck and forklift, moved the pieces out to the street, onto the truck, delivered them with care and came in at estimate. How great is that? My husband found Stone Gallery through a Google search and boy am I glad he did! We were looking to replace a walkway tread and they had not only exactly what were looking for, but there was a huge selection to choose from! Eddie, the owner, and his son, Connor, were some of the nicest we've had the pleasure of meeting! Although Eddie told us he is very passionate about his business, it wasn't necessary because you it is apparent just by talking with him! I have been meaning to write this review for a couple weeks. I went here by chance a few weeks ago to find a small amount of stones for a stone wall around a tree for my daughters fairy garden. Eddy who was there when I arrived could not have been more friendly and helpful. Not only did they have exactly what I was looking for but he gave it to me for free. He made my daughters day! We decided to redo our paver patio ourselves DIY and when we found Stone Gallery, Eddie was wonderful in helping us with finding the pavers that we needed.
