Cute little market on Utica Square associated with Stone Horse Cafe. Stone Horse Cafe also has a bakery attached, used to make their baked goods. The market sells a selection of goods, but also has salads and sandwiches. There's a small selection of frozen goods and a limited selection of wine. The best feature is most products carry the Stone Horse brand so you won't be able to purchase them elsewhere which makes it unique. It's a small market so don't expect a lot. On this particular day, I wanted a hot meal so decided to dine in at the cafe. Please check out my follow up review on that.

So far. Visited for the first time this morning, having started the day by spilling coffee all over my white shirt! They weren't even open but graciously let me peruse & purchase. Busy, busy people. I'll start by saying long before I Yelped, I reviewed on google & Chowhound. Stone horse Cafe has been on my list of "despicable" after several visits where hubby & I were treated badly & the food was less than acceptable. I may revisit as a Yelper Elite. I've given others chance after chance with no change. So, we'll see. (And so sad. We've always loved & patronized the restaurants in that location. Many, many fond memories, having always been in walking distance. Prior owners would even bring water for our Jack Russell. Never crappy food for the people & say, "Tough luck", as current owner. Tim Inman, right?) So, with some trepidation I visited their market. Upon a quick perusal I was impressed. Wow, all those hard to find items, like prescutto by the pound. Small, reasonably priced vacuum sealed packages of Italian sausages, so you don't have to buy more than you need. Meat-I noted whole beef filets. A salad bar, sandwiches, a huge case of specialty breads, bakery items. AND a huge case of cheeses. Hubby loves his cheese & I can't wait to take him here. But the proof is in the pudding, right? All I bought today was an almond pastry, a croissant & a chocolate croissant, hands down my all-time favorite. I gave the four stars based on what I "saw". I mean, you can't mess up cheese, right? The almond pastry could have done with a quick nuke, my bad. I cut into it and thought, "oh, a take on Baklava". Wrong. Not as sweet, flaky, tasty. I liked it. I've been on a near starvation diet (yea, on purpose) so I should have leaped happily at any real food. But having eaten actual, real French croissants (around the world) just about as long as I can remember, I found them lacking & overdone. I was there "first" thing in the morning so they should have had that freshly baked, flaky, oozy "chocolate ness". They did not. Oh to be in Europe or even the French Caribbean.

Really thankful for this little gem in Utica Square. Fresh made, take-home food which is handcrafted daily and very reasonably priced for this upscale market. Seasonal variations of new and time tested recipes impress the most finicky diners. Stop by on your way home from work and surprise your family with a five star, simple to assemble meal at home.

I just love the feel of a food hall, and this place delivers with amazing eats and a fun vibe. My fave spot had closed early for the day, so I made two rounds of the hall before I decided to try some Korean fried rice at Sobahn. Yassss. I don't know that I've ever had Korean fried rice before, but it was quite delish. It was pretty spicy, which they warned me about when I ordered. But hey, who doesn't like a little spice on a chilly Sunday eve? The spice was provided by delicious kimchi; and the rice also contained pork belly (tofu is an option, too, if you prefer a vegetarian meal). The service was super friendly, too. I enjoyed sitting in the middle of the table area and watching families enjoy their dinners. I even did a little holiday shopping after at one of the market's tiny shops. I don't know when I'll be in Tulsa again, but this spot will be on my list!

Originally from Korea, the Kim family moved to Tulsa in 2006. They opened the restaurant wanting to share the uniquely flavorful and complex tastes of South Korea. Unfortunately, Mr. Kim passed away, forcing them to close the restaurant. Thankfully, Mrs. Kim and their daughter are continuing their tradition and opened a similar concept inside Mother Road. Sobahn means 'small table'. It is used for various purposes, including but not limited to dining, studying, and working. Primarily used to connect the kitchen and people, they use it to connect customers to tradition and food from Korea. The added 82 is a slang term for "fast". Their menu includes favorites like Korean Fried Chicken and Bibimbap to traditional dishes like Guk (Korean soup) and meat dishes (Jeon, Kalbi, grilled fish), according to seasonal availability. The ramen is pretty delicious as well. When it comes to portions, they are very generous, so you'll most likely have food to go. Service is fast and super helpful if you have questions. They also have vegan options available.

There's a variety of seating available, booths that can hold up to six people, several high top tables and regular two and four seat tables. As you walk in the front doors the bar is immediately the focal point at the back of the restaurant. Throughout the restaurant are lights hanging from the ceiling with oversized wicker-like shades. Lighting is thoughtfully done, not too bright, not too dark. Our server was very attentive and was eager to answer all our questions and we did have quite a few because the menu was rather unique. We had questions about some of the ingredients and portion sizes. Half of the menu is more Tappas style; great for sharing because the portions are generous. The other half of the menu is more entrée sized and our table of six ordered a variety of items from both sides of the menu. The beet salad (Remolacha) was fabulous, with good size chunks of beets mixed with peanuts and Pomegranate and crema plus a few other ingredients. My entree was the Frita Cubana a chorizo-spiced beef patty with egg, cheese, onion, shoestring fries, aioli, served on a yummy brioche bun. It was delicious. We shared the PROVOLETA, Melted provolone with chimichurri served in a cast iron pan with toasted sourdough for dipping. Awesome. CROQUETAS are 3 roughly golf ball sized fried lump crab cakes, with lemon aioli and chives, also awesome. There was a happy hour which our server neglected to mention until it was too late but our overall experience was excellent and we'll be back!
