    Chickpea salad and the BLT

Great vegan/vegetarian options! You can sub an impossible burger or a vegan chicken patty for all the sandwiches. The chickpea salad for a side is a must try! The beer selection was good and bartenders were helpful when making a selection. The area inside was smaller than it looks from the road - so if busy it might be difficult to have your own space. They have community tables (long tables) and also plenty of outdoor seating. Anticipate you will be sharing a table/ space with others.

We came here for some beers while on a bachelor party trip and it was good. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and they had good outdoor swearing and some pinball machines. Pretty standard beer menu with solid classic options

    Headwaters IPA

Stopped in for beer and snack after riding some trails in TC. I was greeted by the bartender, he was friendly and helpful. I asked to try a few different beers (Amber, IPA and the Kolsch). All the beers were good, but the bartender told me the Headwaters IPA was their original first brew, I went with it. I settled on Chicken Wings and their signature IPA. The wings were fantastic and paired well with the beer. I ordered another beer, a Kolsch, to put out some of the flames from the wings...both beers held their own, solid brews.

OMG, so much yes for me here! Microbrewery with gluten-free drinks as well? Yes! 100% vegan food offerings? Yes! Friendly, helpful staff? Yes! Location right off a bike trail? Yes! Outdoor seating? Yes! Views of Lake Michigan? Yes! Pinball? Yes! Casual atmosphere? Yes! Compostable leftover boxes? Yes! Real, reusable dishes and flatware? Yes (for the most part)! I ordered the Tempeh Bowl with the spicy mayo and agave mustard dressing on the side (since I don't generally like mayonnaise or mustard). However, it's vegan mayo, which I hadn't considered (never tried it before), and it's really good! I loved my dish and would definitely order it again. I also tried my husband's Sweet Potato and Black Bean Bowl, and that was really good, too. The portions were generous, and my husband even had leftovers. So, the one thing I found odd was that the forks were plastic, while the spoons and knives were metal. Not sure why they wouldn't go ahead and offer metal forks as well for those dining in. In any case, I will definitely return when I am in the area again.

The food is really good. Plenty of outdoor seating. With a peak at Grand Traverse Bay. The location is great by the cycling path. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. My mom says the beer is good here. I have the holy Grail burger vegan with seasoned fries it was super delicious I would go back there again. Ps i'm not a vegan, but I like this food.

Neither my husband nor I drink much alcohol. So I will not be able to speak to the quality of the beer at this brewery. . However, the food was absolutely outstanding! I eat a whole food plant-based diet, and my husband frequently eat's the same. We have quite a few vegan choices where we live, but most of it is a little higher end. This was so fun bc it was casual plant based food - that was exceptional. I had a carrot and quinoa burrito, spiced perfectly with berbere. So incredibly good - I will be craving that one! My husband had the sweet potato and black bean burrito that was perfection. Both meals were served with corn tortilla chips. At the suggestion of our server, we added a lovely, roasted salsa to scoop. Of course, we both enjoyed our respective beverages... Cultured Kombucha for me and a Northwood Rootbeer for the hubs. Those are always great choices when in Northern Michigan. Cute ambiance, view of the lake, inside and outside seating. Great service! This is a winner. Can't wait to come back. My carrot burrito will be calling....!

Nice little place with a simple and clean atmosphere. They have a couple of pinball machines right when you enter the place and random fun decor. The beer options provided something for everyone. Nice variety of merch if you are looking to get a hound dog on a sweatshirt/tank or a glass. They have a patio as well if you are looking to enjoy the weather with a view through the parking lot to the water. Overall friendly staff and cool place

    Cold beer, fun merchandise

They say location is everything, but in this case location isn't nearly as important as the beer, the food and the brewery itself. So glad we stopped!! Beer was great, variety to choose from and served with such a friendly smile it felt like we were locals. Food was great, burger was sooo good! Definitely heading up north again and stopping here!!

We really like this place. Besides beer, they also have kombucha and hard cider among other things. Proudly serving food with real meat! They still have vegan options though. Must visit.

Once of my favorite breweries. The owner is usually around helping, and is always friendly and polite. The bartenders are always knowledgeable, and offer great service. The beers are delicious. I always get cans or growlers to go home, especially the cherry sour. There's a built in food truck window for a vegetarian taco truck called rad-dish which is actually delicious as well. It's a bit outside of TC, but the brews and views are worth the drive.

The place is light and bright, with high ceilings and decorated in warm industrial chic. Lots of different seating-bar height with stools, long picnics with benches, padded booth type (one side only) with cool 2020 mid century modern black chairs, along with a couple small cool triangular tables. Outlets for chargers here and there too, a nice amenity. A bit pricey, both beer and food, but considering what they must have sunk into this amazing space, I get it. Now for the beer and food. We got a flight of four beers to start, $15. A bit steep for a flight based on previous experiences. While I loved the coconut porter and hubby loved the Black IPA, the other beers were ok. It is a new place (any microbrewery that is less than 2 years old, imho), so cutting them slack. You can tell things will just continue to get better. The Acorn food was pretty good. Ordered the smashed kofta burger, which was amazing and like $16. With a small order of waffle fries, $23. So a bit spendy. I'd get the burger again, but I'd skip the fries. The menu has other interesting items I can't wait to come back and try. Bar staff a bit absent, took hubby 10 minutes to place the flight order. And they were not slammed. Acorn guy and bartender were very friendly though, always a plus. Super clean everywhere, another huge plus. Eclectic music, nothing too harsh or sedating. The outdoor seating looks like fun, with patio lights, picnic tables and Adirondack chairs, will be fun to check out when the weather gets nice. Overall, looking forward to coming back!

The beer list is impressive and the beers that we ordered were delicious. The king pyrus had a great peach flavor that my husband loved (he normally goes for an IPA but absolutely loved this Belgium), and I ordered the watermelon gose, which was reminiscent of a sour. The venue is super neat - there is plenty of indoor seating and they have a great outdoor space when the weather allows. This is one of the more kid-friendly breweries in the area, which is great for our phase of life!

When we ordered, the bartender didn't drink which made it hard to know what certain beers taste like, but honestly, no judgement because he did the right thing and offered tastes of beer which was awesome and helpful! So service wise I would say great! The beer tasted really good as well and was decently priced. They had a bourbon barrel stout which was pretty good and newly released. The biggest issue we had was with the food. I ordered the spam sandwich with chips and my wife ordered the chicken quesadilla. While the food was cheap, the quality of the food also seems that way too based off what we ordered. The spam sandwich was supposed to be teriyaki flavored, and didn't get any of that. There wasn't a lot of thousand island dressing on it too, which made the sandwich dry. The chips that were served were clearly out of a bag as they were cold, which made it seem like I could have just gotten a bag myself. I would have paid a few dollars extra to get something fresh like fries. While spam comes from a can and I know this, my wife's chicken quesadilla had chicken that was clearly from a can - it was sopping wet, and the meat was very chunky, and very salty. This made us worry the rest of the food may not be very fresh. While we did have that experience, I will say the pretzel bites were really good and did seem fresh, and they were sourdough! So that was nice. I think this place has very good beer, and a really cool bar setup with a nice stage, arcade machines, and much more. However, I wouldn't come back here for lunch. Instead, I would make food at home. I would highly recommend more fresher options, and I would pay a little more for better quality food.
