I feel so lucky they were there and helped me quickly and affordably. Bradley was able to remove the small nail and patch the tire ... incredible ... and Rafa was all over letting me know the status and providing an easy experience for payment at check-out (I waited next door at the new coffee place called Urban Sailor - so convenient for working while waiting). Mercer has all sorts of hit and miss reviews here on Yelp, but I think management has completely turned over and had a 10+ experience today. I hope this place continues to give great service and recommend it now.

The first time, they replaced them with tires that were separated and unbalanced. Yes -- actual unsafe tires that made my car shake. I had to return three times just to get something as basic as a proper tire installation done correctly. Each time, I was met with excuses, zero accountability, and terrible customer service. No one apologized or even seemed to care that they had put me at serious risk by installing unsafe tires, until my daughter called them several times to get it fixed. By the third visit, they finally managed to fix it, but by then I'd lost all trust in their competence. If you value your safety, time, and money -- avoid this place completely. They don't check their work, don't care about customer satisfaction, and clearly don't know what they're doing.

I asked if they would consider scrubbing the budget to see if they might be more in line with other estimates for the same work. They did not reply. Resent the request a few days later -- and no reply again. I'm sure they're busy enough and don't need my business now or ever; and that's ok. Consider this an fyi.

My car's AC had recently started to blow hot air. I took it to the Honda Dealership in SLC in…read moreattempt to have a Honda parts warranty cover the repair or Honda customer service cover it. I was charged $200 for the diagnostic test to identify that my compressor needed to be replaced since it was overheating internally and had melted coils (had a shaft seal leak too which is under warranty with Honda but still couldn't get the diagnostic test fee waived after protesting it). Honda customer service put up a fight to cover the compressor replacement since they didn't know if the shaft seal leak or the compressor overheating internally happened first. Dealer quoted over $3,200 to fix the problem and all the parts are on back order. I called up Chuck's based on a friend's recommendation and spoke to Rocky. Right off the bat, he radiated honesty. He took the time to listen to my rambling of what I thought was wrong with my car and gave me a very fair quote compared to another shop in the South SLC area. The day I dropped my car off, I called one more time beforehand to ensure this shop would be a good fit. I spoke to Rocky again who reassured me that he didn't want the dealer's diagnostic report, the dealerships can be dishonest, and that he wanted to take a look and diagnose the problem himself to ensure he could fix my car properly. I dropped my car off within an hour after the phone call. Drop off was super smooth, I didn't need to give out a lot of personal information, and I was able to have a family member meet me at the shop to take me home. Turnaround time was about one business day. It turns out the Honda diagnosis matched Chuck's shop diagnosis but I didn't have to wait on parts to come in and the repair cost almost HALF of what the dealership quoted me. Rocky was very easy to work with and had a lot of patience with me over the phone. His quote matched what I ended up paying. I highly recommend this shop if you can have a ride set up to pick you up and drop you off to have your car worked on. Now I am ready to enjoy the summer heat with some ice cold AC! Thank you Rocky and team!!!
