During such a sensitive and emotional time, her behavior was incredibly unprofessional and lacked basic compassion. She was impatient, dismissive, and even rolled her eyes while we were performing a cultural ritual to honor and say goodbye to our grandmother. We were delayed about 20 minutes because a few family members took a wrong turn, but during that time, we could have been given the opportunity to spend meaningful final moments with our loved one. Instead, that opportunity was taken from us. When we were finally allowed to view our grandmother, we were given only a few seconds, barely enough time to process the moment, while Lizzy counted down with her fingers. It felt rushed, cold, and deeply disrespectful. She then left immediately afterward, offering no support or understanding. This is a beautiful graveyard where our family members are laid to rest, and in the past, we've had directors who were kind, patient, and accommodating. That is why this experience was especially shocking. No grieving family should be treated with such insensitivity. I truly hope no one else has to go through what we experienced.

I had a very unpleasant experience with another entity that had picked her up. I called and spoke with Jessica. She was very reassuring and put me at ease from our first conversation. She was responsible, dedicated, supportive, understanding, delightful, caring, and very kind. I was so unsure of how to handle everything. She was so very helpful and sweet no matter how many times I called. She never made me feel like I was a burden or worried her too much. She paid attention to every detail of my mom service. She noticed that my mom had on nail polish that was chipped! She called to ask if it was okay to polish over her nails. I'm extremely happy and overjoyed with the way Jessica and her staff handled our family. I highly recommend using this company if you have a loved one that has transitioned.

During one of the most difficult times for our family, the lack of professionalism, compassion, communication, and organization was shocking. I had no idea Dale even noticed me repeatedly asking, "What next?" throughout the process, but I'm glad I wasn't the only one who witnessed the confusion and unprofessionalism displayed by the staff. From the very beginning, it felt like my grieving mother -- who had already paid for family plots years ago -- was being upsold during an emotional and vulnerable time. To make matters worse, we still have not received the death certificates that were paid for when the services were arranged. The follow-through has been unacceptable. The staff even asked my sister to leave a review, and trust me, she fully intends to. What makes this even more heartbreaking is that our family has trusted Sunset for generations. From great-grandparents to my own child, many of our loved ones are laid to rest there. We have dealt with them for years, and the difference in service and care compared to the past is devastating. What was once respected now feels like a complete disgrace. This experience has been painful, frustrating, and unacceptable. Something needs to change. Families should not have to fight for basic communication, respect, and services they already paid for while grieving the loss of a loved one. Sunset has become a disappointment to the very community that trusted them for decades.

Everything else was there except for the rosary. I looked around and noticed that there were rosaries on other graves but I guess because mine wasn't plastic and had shiny crystals someone just had to have it. I bought that rosary from my church. People came from Bethlehem to sell things during mass that they made in the holy land and I bought it specifically for my parents' grave. I guess you can't even trust a Catholic cemetery. Just a warning: Do not put anything of sentimental value on the graves at this place. There are obviously thieves there happily looting the graves. Ridiculous. It could have been anyone: a patron visiting another grave, a person the cemetery hired from the outside, an employee, a groundskeeper. Who knows? You would think that theft wouldn't happen in a place like this. From now on I'm just putting fake flowers on the grave now that I know there are thieves that come to this place. What kind of person steals things off someone's grave? Just unbelievable. My parents deserve better.

My father died on June 11, and we were told we would get his ashes and his death certificate within 7-10 days. After 7 days, my mother called and the woman on the phone was very rude and said she would call when they were ready. After 10 days, my mother called back. The woman on the phone said that the hospital made a mistake and so they didn't have the death certificate yet. My mom started calling daily and each day she would get a different story as to why the death certificate hadn't been registered and why my dad's ashes weren't ready. On July 3rd, my brother went in person to ask, and someone showed him the computer screen and said everything would be ready on Monday, the 7th. When my mom called on Monday, there was a whole new story as to why the death certificate and my dad's ashes weren't ready. At this point, I called and informed them that we would be transferring my dad and that we were going to need a refund. We had my dad transferred that day. Then a few days later, my mom called to confirm the refund check was ready before she drove over there to pick it up. My mom was transferred to a different woman (who identified herself as a manager), who started yelling at my mother as soon as she picked up the phone (thinking it was me on the phone). When my mom went to pick of the check, the woman scoffed as my mom walked out. The lies and the rude treatment from the staff here was unacceptable. They have made a very painful process even more painful. Do not trust them with your loved one.
